Extension of hydroxytelechelic polybutadiene oligomers ( 3200 g/mol) is performed in mild conditions, in order to avoid backbone modifications, using succinic anhydride or methylenedicyclohexyl diisocyanate. The two routes present significative extension of the initial oligomers. Extension through the anhydride route, in the presence of DCC and DMAP, leads to new hydroxytelechelic oligomers ( 8000 g/mol). Extension through the diisocyanate route, catalyzed by DBTL at 65°C leads to hydroxytelechelic oligomers of higher average molecular weight ( 20000 g/mol). New materials are characterized by FTIR/1H-NMR and changes in their Tg according to , are discussed. The influence of reaction time on the length of the macromolecular chains is also studied.  相似文献

Excited state absorption and excited state dynamics of indocyanine‐green (ICG) dissolved in dymethyl sulfoxide were measured using white‐light continuum Z‐scan (WLCZScan) and white‐light continuum pump–probe (WLCPP) techniques. The excited state absorption spectrum, obtained through Z‐scan measurements, revealed saturable absorption (SA) for wavelengths longer than 630 nm, while reverse saturable absorption (RSA) appeared, as indicated by a band at approximately 570 nm. Both processes were modeled by a three‐energy‐level diagram, from which the excited state cross‐section values were determined. SA and RSA were also observed in pump–probe experiments, with a recovery time in the hundreds of picoseconds time scale due to the long lifetime of the first excited state of ICG. Such results contribute to the understanding of ICG optical properties, allowing application in photonics and medicine. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We report the experimental observations and the theoretical predictions of the fully separated n-pi* and pi-pi* bands of Disperse Red One in acidified methanol solution. The analysis of the linear and two-photon absorption spectra is presented in four specific solvents. We demonstrate the possibility to establish the position of the first two excited states combining linear and nonlinear spectroscopy. Calculations using density functional theory at TD-B3LYP/6-31G*//HF/6-31G* level accurately predict the spectral region of the n-pi* and pi-pi* transitions of DR1 in all solvents.  相似文献

The excited state dynamics of Zn2+, Fe3+, and Mn3+ meso-tetra(sulfonatophenyl) porphyrin complexes were investigated with a Z-scan technique at 532 nm using 70 ps and 120 fs single pulses and 200 ns pulse trains of a Q-switched and mode locked laser. We determined the characteristic interconversion and intersystem crossing times, quantum yields of the excited S1 state, and S1 --> Sn and T1 --> Tn transition cross-sections. The ground state cross-sections were obtained using UV-vis absorption spectroscopy, and a five-energy-level diagram was used to yield the photophysical parameters mentioned previously.  相似文献

This work reports on the effect of temperature on the two-photon absorption cross section of azoaromatic chromophores. A linear decrease in the two-photon absorption cross section with the temperature was observed for several azochromophores. This process was characterized by introducing a two-photon absorption thermal coefficient (ddelta/dT), whose typical values are approximately 2GM/degrees C for all the azochromophores studied here. Such an effect was attributed to thermal induced molecular conformation changes, described by the sum-over-states model and semiempirical calculations, which affect the molecular dipole moments. The characterization of the phenomenon reported here for other nonlinear materials can help in the design of specific applications using two-photon absorption.  相似文献

Results from our laboratory revealed propolis activity on Giardia trophozoites proliferation. Since therapeutic agents can inhibit the activity of proteases related to relevant biologic and physiologic processes of parasites, this study was undertaken to characterise the proteolytic activity of excretory/secretory products (ESP) of trophozoites treated with propolis. ESP was obtained from culture supernatants of trophozoites exposed to 250 and 500 μg mL(-1) of propolis. ESP were tested in sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis for the protein profiles and the protease activity was assayed in gelatin-containing gels. Synthetic inhibitors were used to characterise the protease classes. Treated and non-treated ESP showed a similar protein and hydrolysis pattern. A simple pattern of protein composed by five evident bands of approximately 167, 132, 79, 61 and 51 kDa was found, and the zymograms comprised hydrolysis zones distributed from >170 to 23 kDa. No inhibition was seen on protease activity of propolis-treated trophozoites, whose hydrolysis pattern was similar to control. One may conclude that both ESP degraded gelatin and the activity was predominantly due to cysteine proteases. Although propolis had no effect on the proteolytic activity, further studies could identify the active constituents responsible for propolis antigiardial activity and their mechanisms of action.  相似文献

Fluorene‐based polymer derivatives are promising materials for organic electronic devices because of their photoluminescence and electroluminescence, good film‐forming ability, and favorable chemical and thermal properties. Although optical properties of polyfluorene have already been reported, most of the studies focused on the linear optical properties, whereas nonlinear optical characteristics have only recently received more detailed attention. Here, we report on two polyfluorene derivatives, poly(9,9′‐n‐dihexyl‐2,7‐fluorenediyl) (LaPPS 10) and poly(9,9′‐n‐dihexyl‐2,7‐fluorene‐diyl‐vinylene) (LaPPS 38), which present intense nonlinear absorption and fluorescence. Two‐photon absorption cross‐section properties of both polymers were characterized in the spectral range from 500 nm up to 900 nm, reaching peak values around 2000 Göppert Mayer units. Optical limiting behavior and two‐photon‐induced fluorescence of both polymers have also been investigated. Furthermore, the first molecular hyperpolarizability of the polymers was also studied using hyper‐Rayleigh scattering. In addition, the three‐photon absorption (3PA) spectra of both materials were also investigated, and 3PA cross‐section values in the order of 1 × 10?78 cm6 s2 photon?2 were observed. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We report on experimental plasma absorption of 0.35 μm radiation incident on plane targets. Absorption fractions between 50 and 98% were found for UV pulses of 90 and 450 ps duration on planar CH, nickel, and gold targets for intensities between 1013 and 3 × 1015 W/cm2. The results are in agreement with computer calculations using inverse bremsstrahlung absorption and a thermal electron heat flux limiter between 0.03 and 0.06  相似文献

An extraction method for the determination of phenols in contaminated soils, based on the application of solid-phase microextraction (SPME) coupled with GC-flame ionization detection analysis, was developed and tested. This method was developed using a natural soil spiked with phenol to a concentration level typical of an acute contamination event that can occur in an industrial site. The effects of the extraction parameters (pH, extraction time and salt concentration) on the extraction efficiency were studied and the method was then applied to determine the pollutant concentration at the beginning and during the biological treatment of a soil, contaminated with phenol and 3-chlorophenol, respectively. The SPME results were validated by comparison with those obtained with an US Environmental Protection Agency certified extraction method. The SPME method was also successfully applied to the determination of the adsorption behavior of 3-chlorophenol on a natural clay soil and was shown to be suitable for different matrices and phenolic compounds. Application of SPME technique results in a sharp reduction of the extraction times with negligible solvent consumption.  相似文献

This work investigates a light-driven 3-component sulfonylation reaction of indolizines without needing any external photocatalyst. The mechanistic investigations support the formation of an electron donor–acceptor (EDA) complex in situ. This transformation offers a mild and sustainable approach with high functional group tolerance for the synthesis of 3-sulfonylated indolizines. This compound class has valuable photophysical properties and represents promising candidates in various applications related to fluorescence.  相似文献
