The freezing of a binary solution saturating a porous matrix is investigated experimentally and numerically. An aqueous solution of sodium chloride constituted the binary solution. Spherical glass beads constituted the porous matrix. The freezing was initiated at one of the vertical walls of a rectangular cavity. The temperature distribution in the solid, liquid and mush regions were recorded. A mathematical model that considered conduction as the only mode of heat transfer was developed. The predictions of the model were compared with experimental data. In general, as the model were compared with experimental data. In general, as the model ignored natural convection, the predicted temperatures agreed well with the data during early times in the freezing when conduction was the dominant mode of heat transfer. But as freezing progressed the predictions departed from the data and this departure was larger when the initial superheat was high i.e., when the natural convective flow was vigorous and its influence strong on the freezing process.
Untersuchung des Gefriervorgangs in einem mit binärer Flüssigkeit getränkten porösen Körper
Zusammenfassung Der Gefriervorgang in einem mit einer binären Flüssigkeit getränkten porösen Körper wurde experimentell und numerisch untersucht. Eine wässerige Lösung von Natriumchlorid bildete die Binärlösung, während eine Glaskugelschüttung den porösen Körper repräsentierte. Der Gefriervorgang wurde an einer der senkrechten Wände einer rechteckigen Vertiefung eingeleitet und die Temperaturverteilung in der Fest-, Flüssig- und Mischphase gemessen. Das zur Überprüfung der experimentell gefundenen Ergebnisse dienende mathematische Modell unterstellte Wärmeleitung als einzigen Wärmetransportmechanisms. Da zu Beginn des Gefriervorgangs die im Modell vernachlässigte natürliche Konvektion gegenüber der Wärmeleitung von geringem Einfluß ist, zeigte sich in diesem Bereich gute Übereinstimmung zwischen Theorie und Experiment. Mit fortschreitendem Gefriervorgang traten immer größere Abweichungen auf, besonders wenn die Anfangsüberhitzung hoch war und folglich die natürliche Konvektionsströmung starken Einfluß auf den Gefriervorgang nahm.

In order to solve the problems between soil and construction machinery such as a hydraulic excavator, it is important to understand their mechanism. The purpose of this research is the development of a three-directional stress cell to measure stress distribution on a backhoe bucket to understand the mechanism of excavation. This three-directional stress cell can directly measure three-directional stresses simultaneously and has both strong structure and high sensitivity, which is not changed by the abrasion of the detecting plate. By using these cells, three-directional stress distribution on the bucket during excavation is measured. The results of the excavation experiments have given us the most fundamental theory of soil excavation, some hints to solve the problems between soil and construction machinery, and a future image of intelligent construction machinery with intelligent sensors.  相似文献

This paper discusses the warp and accompanying residual stress in a rectangular epoxy beam produced by water cooling its lower surface. First, the theoretical values of this warp and residual stress are obtained by the linear-viscoelastic theory. The specimen is then subjected to quenching. The variations in the warp are observed. After quenching, the residual stress is measured by a layer-removal method. The experimental and theoretical results are then compared and discussed.  相似文献

The mode conversions which occur during the reflection and transmission of seismic waves at the boundaries of porous media are analysed. It is shown how the energy partitioned to the various modes depends on the incident angle and on the physical properties of the fluid and solid components on each side of the boundary. The boundary conditions used here predict the occurrence of bright and dark spots as are currently observed in seismic studies of heavy oil reservoirs. They also give rise to a class of pseudo interface waves which propagate in a direction almost parallel to the surface and which become true interface waves in the limiting case where the porous media degenerate to elastic solids. When thermomechanical coupling is an important attenaution mechanism in one of the media it is also observed to have a substantial effect on the mode conversions which occur at the boundary.  相似文献

The nondestructive testing technique is applied to evaluate the temper embrittlement of normalized and tempered steel; it is based on the anodic polarization behavior in calcium nitrate solution. The steel specimen is aged at a stress of 210 MPa at 450°C for up to 8800 h in order to examine the effect of applied stress on the enhancement of intergranular segregation of phosphorus. The secondary peak observed in the polarization curve for the material aged under stress was compared with that for the non-stressed. It can be quantified with the degree of intergranular segregation of phosphorus. The data suggest that the enhancement of phosphorus segregation due to the applied stress is only recognized after 3000 h of aging. This effect diminishes with increasing aging time.  相似文献
