Shrinkage microporosity in cast aluminum was characterized utilizing the frequency dependence of ultrasonic attenuation caused by scattering from the pores. Measurements were made with the plate specimen immersed in water, and, by using a focused transducer, spatial resolution of about 2 mm was obtained. An accurate measure of attenuation was obtained by comparing the specimen’s ultrasonic signal with that from a pore-free reference specimen. Although the attenuation could be fitted using a single spherical pore size, better fits were obtained by assuming a lognormal distribution of spheres. Pore volume fraction inferred from the lognormal fits overestimates the actual volume fraction, determined from density measurements, by the same factor for all volume fractions. The actual volume fraction is overestimated by more than 100%, due to the complicated, nonspherical pore shapes, and must be taken into account to obtain accurate values of porosity. The strong correlation (r2=0.97) between ultrasonic and density-derived volume fractions permits reliable, nondestructive laboratory measurements of porosity.  相似文献

A symmetrical tetradentate Schiff base ligand was derived by the condensation of ortho‐vanillin and thiourea in 2:1 molar ratio and adjusted pH. Nickel and vanadyl complexes were obtained using the template method by the reaction of ortho‐vanillin and thiourea with Ni(OAc)2. 4H2O and VO(acac)2 (2:1:1 molar ratio) in absolute ethanol and adjusted pH. The Schiff base ligand and its complexes have been characterized by FT‐IR, 1H NMR, UV/Vis, elemental analysis and conductometry measurements. In nickel and also vanadyl complexes the ligands were coordinated to the metals via the imine N and enolic O atoms. The complexes have been found to possess 1:1 metal to ligand stoichiometry and the molar conductance data revealed that the metal complexes were non‐electrolytes. The nickel and vanadyl complexes exhibited tetrahedral and square pyramidal coordination geometry, respectively. The emission spectra of the ligand and its complexes were studied in DMSO. Electrochemical properties of the ligand and its complexes were also investigated in the DMF solvent at the 150 mVs‐1 scan rate. The ligand and its complexes showed irreversible processes at this scan rate.  相似文献

Sunitinib malate, as an anticancer compound and a multi-targeted tyrosine-kinase inhibitor for treatment of glioma, was comprehensively studied by using different liquid chromatography methods. Since sunitinib malate shows Z-E isomerism, various reverse phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) programs were designed to access quantitative determination and good separation of Z-E stereoisomers. Moreover, some impurities including N-oxide and impurity B were to be separated from the main isomer with acceptable resolution. In the present work, different RP-HPLC programs were developed in which the type of mobile phase, flow rate, pH, and temperature were optimized to reach the best analysis conditions and control the rate of Z to E conversion. In addition, the effect of some operational parameters during the solution preparation including initial concentration of the analyte, temperature, pH, and type of solvent on the stability of Z isomer were investigated. The opted conditions for quantitative analysis were C8-Hector column as stationary phase, methanol as solvent, ammonium acetate buffer containing triethylamine as mobile phase, the pH of mobile phase of 8.5, the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min, and detection at 425 nm. In this situation the peaks of E and Z isomers were at 16.3 and 19.7 min. Full validation of the designed method was done based on ICH guidelines.  相似文献

Mesoporous carbon was synthesized for the removal of a cationic dye malachite green (MG) from aqueous solution. The studies were carried out under various experimental conditions such as contact time, dye concentration, adsorption dose and pH to assess the potentiality of mesoporous carbon for the removal of malachite green dye from wastewater. The sorption equilibrium was reached within 30 min. In order to determine the adsorption capacity, the sorption data were analyzed using linear form of Langmuir and Freundlich equation. Langmuir equation showed higher conformity than Freundlich equation. More than 99% removal of MG was reached at the optimum pH value of 8.5. From kinetic experiments, it was concluded that the sorption process followed the pseudo-first-order kinetic model. This study showed that mesoporous carbon can be recommended as an excellent adsorbent at high pH values.  相似文献

The potential application of SWCNTs as mass nanosensors is examined for a wide range of boundary conditions. The SWCNT is modeled via nonlocal Rayleigh, Timoshenko, and higher-order beam theories. The added nano-objects are considered as rigid solids, which are attached to the SWCNT. The mass weight and rotary inertial effects of such nanoparticles are appropriately incorporated into the nonlocal equations of motion of each model. The discrete governing equation pertinent to each model is obtained using an effective meshless technique. The key factor in design of a mass nanosensor is to determine the amount of frequency shift due to the added nanoparticles. Through an inclusive parametric study, the roles of slenderness ratio of the SWCNT, small-scale parameter, mass weight, number of the attached nanoparticles, and the boundary conditions of the SWCNT on the frequency shift ratio of the first flexural vibration mode of the SWCNT as a mass sensor are also discussed.  相似文献

Poly(4-vinylpyridinium) hydrogen sulfate solid acid was found to be efficient catalyst for preparation of 1,1-diacetate using ultrasound irradiation at ambient temperature and neat condition. Deprotection of the resulting 1,1-diacetates were achieved using the same catalyst in methanol solvent under ultrasound irradiation at room temperature. This new method consistently has the advantage of excellent yields and short reaction times. Utilization of solvent free, simple reaction conditions, isolation, and purification makes this manipulation very interesting from an economic and environmental perspective. Further, the catalyst can be reused and recovered for several times.  相似文献
