Two techniques for tissue characterization by ultrasonic analysis are described. In the first, using narrow-band pulses, the angular variation I (theta) of the ultrasonic intensity back-scattered by vegetal or animal targets is analysed. We examine how it is possible to estimate the surface roughness and the average spatial periodicity d characteristic of the tissues, by calculating the Fourier transform or the autocorrelation function of I (theta). In the second technique the sample is insonified with a broadband pulse at a fixed angle. A value of the mean periodicity can be obtained directly from the frequency spectrum of the echo for tissues of fairly regular structure.  相似文献

An examination of partial rate data for the decomposition of diazo acetic ester and dimethyl diazomalonate, in the presence of soluble copper salts and cyclohexene, revealed the existence of two paths to carbene dimer formation, one with a unimolecular dependence upon catalyst, the other with a bimolecular dependence. Assuming carbenoid formation, this is taken as indicative of dimer formation occurring by carbenoid + diazo compound and carbenoid + carbenoid paths. Conformational analyses indicate a preference for diethyl maleate formation by the carbenoid-diazo ester path for the case of diazoacetic ester and a preference for diethyl furmate formation by the carbenoid + carbenoid path.  相似文献

Optical imaging provides an indispensable way to locate tumors in their early stages with high sensitivity and signal to background ratio. A heptamethine cyanine based fluorophore that emits both single photon near-infrared fluorescence and two-photon deep red fluorescence under physiological conditions was developed. Linear and nonlinear photophysical properties of this fluorophore were investigated and it demonstrated the capability to label lysosomes in cancer cells. The advantages of this fluorophore, including tolerable cytotoxicity, high fluorescence quantum yield, and the ability to emit both near-infrared single photon fluorescence and deep red two photon fluorescence in aqueous solution, give it potential to be used in intra-operatively optical image-guided tumor excision followed by two-photon fluorescence microscopy biopsy analysis after a single administration.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the probing of the transversal envelope solitons propagation in circular waveguides when a set of requirements (non-linearity and dispersion) are fulfilled in the waveguide and balanced. The basic idea is to analyze the shape of an acoustic pulse after it has traveled one or few trips through samples constituted of a rod and two ended beads. The dispersive behavior is associated to the bounded medium (rod) and the contacts between the elements of the specimens are assumed being described by non-linear Hertz’ law type. The experimental data are obviously material dependent and have pointed out the existence of common properties on the formation and propagation properties of the envelope solitons whatever is the material (polymers, carbon fibers and wood) of the rods and spheres. Peculiar behaviors were also observed for specific material (woods) probably caused by the anisotropy of this kind of rod material leading to a double envelope soliton.  相似文献

We experimentally show how the deviations from spherical symmetry such as the inhomogeneity, the removal mass or the asphericity affect the frequency spectrum of a single elastic sphere. The recorded spectrograms point out the great influence of the polarization of the source on the splitting and the shift of the peaks. Qualitatively, the results are consistent with the data reported in Geophysics although the present study is concerned with a low degree and low- [Formula: see text] modes in contrast to those usually encountered in seismic investigations. From a practical point of view, this study suggests that Geophysics phenomena could be analyzed through spherical beads reproducing the imperfections encountered in the mantle and in the core of the earth.  相似文献

The near i.r. spectra of PD3 and of PHD2; isolated as a point defect in PD3 have been obtained. Analysis of these spectra indicates that PD3 exists in at least two crystalline forms. In the low-temperature form the molecules probably occupy two sets of sites of Cs. symmetry. A first-order phase transition accompanied by hysteresis occurs at 50 K and 60 K. This is most probably an order-disorder transition, because the spectrum of the high-temperature phase is that of a disordered crystal.  相似文献
