Blends of PAni and PLCL are electrospun to prepare uniform fibers for the development of electrically conductive, engineered nerve grafts. PC12 cell viability is significantly higher on RPACL fibers than on PLCL-only fibers, and the electrical conductivity of the fibers affects the differentiation of PC12 cells; the number of cells positively-stained and their expression level are significantly higher on RPACL fibers. PC12 cell bodies display an oriented morphology with outgrowing neurites. On RPACL fibers, the expression level of paxillin, cdc-42, and rac is positively affected and proteins including RhoA and ERK exist as more activated state. These results suggest that electroactive fibers may hold promise as a guidance scaffold for neuronal tissue engineering.  相似文献

We have studied the (pi(-),K+) reaction on a silicon target to investigate the sigma-nucleus potential. The inclusive spectrum was measured at a beam momentum of 1.2 GeV/c with an energy resolution of 3.3 MeV (FWHM) by employing the superconducting kaon spectrometer system. The spectrum was compared with theoretical calculations within the framework of the distorted-wave impulse approximation, which demonstrates that a strongly repulsive sigma-nucleus potential with a nonzero size of the imaginary part reproduces the observed spectrum.  相似文献

We report on the first measurement of a hypernuclear gamma-transition probability. gamma rays emitted in the E2(5/2(+)-->1/2(+)) transition of (7)(Lambda)Li were detected by a large-acceptance germanium detector array (Hyperball), and the lifetime of the parent state ( 5/2(+)) was determined by the Doppler shift attenuation method. The obtained result, 5.8(+0.9)(-0.7)+/-0.7 ps, was then converted into the reduced transition probability [ B(E2)] to be B(E2;5/2(+)-->1/2(+)) = 3.6+/-0.5(+0.5)(-0.4) e(2) fm(4). Compared with the B(E2) of the corresponding E2(3(+)-->1(+)) transition in the 6Li nucleus, our result gives evidence that the size of the 6Li core in (7)(Lambda)Li is smaller than the 6Li nucleus in the free space.  相似文献

The proton decay asymmetry, αNM p , of the polarized Λ -hypernuclei, 5 ΛHe , 12 ΛC and 11 ΛB , has been investigated to understand the reaction mechanism of the non-mesonic weak-decay process. These Λ -hypernuclei were produced in the highest statistics ever via the (π+, K +) reaction at 1.05GeV/c by using the SKS spectrometer at KEK 12GeV PS. The results show that the αNM p are very small for these s -shell and p -shell hypernuclei.  相似文献

We present a search for electron neutrino appearance from accelerator-produced muon neutrinos in the K2K long-baseline neutrino experiment. One candidate event is found in the data corresponding to an exposure of 4.8 x 10(19) protons on target. The expected background in the absence of neutrino oscillations is estimated to be 2.4+/-0.6 events and is dominated by misidentification of events from neutral current pi(0) production. We exclude the nu(micro) to nu(e) oscillations at 90% C.L. for the effective mixing angle in the 2-flavor approximation of sin((2)2theta(microe)( approximately 1/2sin((2)2theta(13))>0.15 at Deltam(2)(microe)=2.8 x 10(-3) eV(2), the best-fit value of the nu(micro) disappearance analysis in K2K. The most stringent limit of sin((2)2theta(microe)<0.09 is obtained at Deltam(2)(microe)=6 x 10(-3) eV(2).  相似文献

Simulations of the gas fluidization of a cohesive powder were performed using the Stokesian Dynamics method and an agglomeration-deagglomeration model to investigate methods of improving the fluidizability of fine powders. Three techniques (a) high gas velocity (b) vibration-assisted fluidization and (c) tapered fluidizer were used in the simulations which provided detailed information on the bed microscopy such as the motion of 1 O0 particles in a fluidizing vessel along with the formation and destruction of cohesive bonds dudng collisions. While all three techniques were found to effectively improve the fluidizability of a strongly cohesive powder, we suggest a combination of high velocity fluidization assisted by extemal vibration of the fluidized bed to minimize entrainment of particles.  相似文献

We recently measured high-statistics and high-resolution spectra of p-shell Λ hypernuclei produced by the (π+, K+) reaction. In this article, cross sections and their angular distributions of Λ12C and Λ16O are reported. The obtained cross sections are well reproduced by DWIA calculations.  相似文献

The fundamental motivation to study the non-mesonic weak decay (NMWD) of hypernuclei is that it provides the unique means for study of baryon–baryon weak interaction in SU3 f symmetry group. The new channel of NMWD, namely the recently confirmed three-body channel, seems to have a surprisingly big branching ratio so that it makes its accurate measurement prerequisite of the baryon–baryon weak interaction study. We report a new result of ${\Gamma_{2N}(^{11}_{\Lambda} {\rm B})}$ from E508 experiment of KEK-PS, though preliminary yet, which agrees with the previous result of ${^{12}_{\Lambda}}$ C from the same experiment, those from FINUDA experiment and those of the recent theoretical predictions.  相似文献

In an attempting to find new biomaterials for mammalian cell culture, PHEMA derivatives with ester side groups are synthesized by one-step polymer-analogous reaction. These polymers show excellent antifouling properties against S. epidermidis and P. aeruginosa while their cytotoxicity and proliferation activity for HDF cell are on a similar level as commercially available TCPS. The interesting bioadhesion property is systematically correlated with surface properties of the PHEMA derivatives.  相似文献

Evidence for the neutron-rich hypernucleus (Λ)(6)H is presented from the FINUDA experiment at DAΦNE, Frascati, studying (π+,π-) pairs in coincidence from the K(stop)(-) + (6)Li →(Λ)(6)H + π+ production reaction followed by (Λ)(6)H → (6)He + π- weak decay. The production rate of (Λ)(6) undergoing this two-body π- decay is determined to be (2.9 ± 2.0) × 10(-6)/K(stop)(-). Its binding energy, evaluated jointly from production and decay, is BΛ((Λ)(6)H) = (4.0 ± 1.1) MeV with respect to (5)H+Λ. A systematic difference of (0.98 ± 0.74) MeV between BΛ values derived separately from decay and from production is tentatively assigned to the (Λ)(6)H 0(g.s.)(+) → 1+ excitation.  相似文献
