Viscometric, Acoustical and Spectroscopic Investigation of β-Pinene with Benzene, Toluene, m-Xylene and Mesitylene at 303.15, 308.15 and 313.15 K and Atmospheric Pressure

The densities (ρ), viscosities (η), ultrasonic speeds (u) and spectroscopic data of binary mixtures of benzene, toluene, m-xylene and mesitylene with β-pinene as a common component, over the whole composition range of mole fraction of β-pinene including those of pure components, have been measured at 303.15, 308.15 and 313.15 K, except for the spectroscopic study where the temperature was maintained at 298.15 K. The experimental results deviation in viscosity, deviation in ultrasonic velocity, isentropic compressibility and deviation in isentropic compressibility are discussed in terms of molecular interactions between unlike molecules. The variation of these excess parameters indicates the presence of weak interactions between β-pinene and benzene, toluene, m-xylene and mesitylene molecules. Moreover, the viscosity data are discussed in terms of interaction parameters. The theoretical ultrasonic speed was computed using the Nomoto model, ideal mixing relation, Jacobson’s free length theory and compared with the experimentally measured values. The experimental values are also discussed in terms of FTIR spectroscopy.     

抗坏血酸有机锗倍半氧化物的合成及抗癌活性研究

通过三氯锗仿与抗坏血酸分子的加成反应,合成了一种新型有机锗倍半氧化物,产物的结构通过元素分析、IR及UV光谱等方法进行了表征．生物活性实验表明合成物对小鼠S-180肿瘤生长具有显著的抑制作用．     

电感耦合等离子体原子发射光谱法测定钛酸钡纳米粉体中7种杂质元素

钛酸钡纳米粉体样品用盐酸溶解,在所得样品溶液中用电感耦合等离子体原子发射光谱法测定了以氧化物存在于样品中的7种杂质元素(包括镁、锶、钾、钠、铝、硅及铁),对测定的光谱条件进行了试验并优化达到上述各元素的测定上限为0.1%(质量分数).测得方法的检出限(3S/b)为(单位μg·L-1):2.0(铝),1.0(铁),20.0(钾),0.2(镁),4.0(钠),3.0(硅)及0.5(锶).应用此方法分析了两件实样,所得结果的相对标准偏差(n=6)小于等于2.0%,对其中4种杂质元素(镁、钾、钠和锶)同时用HG/T 3587-1999标准中的方法作分析校核,所得结果与此方法结果一致.     

Dissociation constants of some derivatives of 5-amino isophthalic acid in mixed solvents

The dissociation constants of some derivatives of 5-amino isophthalic acid have been measured by Calvin Bjerrum pH titration method in DMF-water and DMSO-water (60: 40 v/v) systems at 308.15 K. It is observed that dissociation constant depends on the solvent and substituents group present in the compound.     

Study of molecular interactions in solutions of azomethines of sulfamethoxazole in N,N-dymethylformamide and tetrahydrofuran

Density, ultrasonic velocity and viscosity of azomethines containing sulfamethoxazole nucleus have been measured in N,N-dimethylformamide and tetrahydrofuran solutions over a wide concentration range at temperature 308.15 K. From these experimental data, acoustical parameters such as intermolecular free path length, isentropic compressibility and relaxation strength have been evaluated, that help understanding the molecular interactions occurring in these solutions. Furthermore, compressibility solvation number, the apparent molar compressibility and apparent molar volume of the solutions have been determined and discussed.     

Effect of Pr and Ca substitution on superconductivity in Y(1−x−yPrxCay)Ba2Cu3O7−δ

Pr substituted at constant Ca concentration for Y in (Y_1−x−yPr_xCa_y)Ba₂Cu₃O_7−δ superconductors have been prepared under identical conditions and the temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity of these samples are measured. The resistively determined values of T_c decrease linearly with increasing x (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.2) for constant y = 0.10 and 0.15 which provides convincing evidence that the suppression of superconductivity by Pr is mainly due to magnetic pair breaking. The suppression of superconductivity can also be correlated to the observed changes in oxygen content determined by iodometric analysis and to the average Cu-valences. However, it is found that the observed suppression of T_c cannot be compensated by appropriate hole doping with Ca.     

Solitary wave solutions to nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics

This paper obtains solitons as well as other solutions to a few nonlinear evolution equations that appear in various areas of mathematical physics. The two analytical integrators that are applied to extract solutions are tan–cot method and functional variable approaches. The soliton solutions can be used in the further study of shallow water waves in (1+1) as well as (2+1) dimensions.
