Fucoidan is a fucose-rich sulfated polysaccharide with attractive therapeutic potential due to a variety of biological activities, including antioxidant action. Fucoidan is typically found in the cell wall of marine brown algae, but extra-algal sources have also been discovered. In the present work, for the first time we extracted a water soluble fucoidan fraction from the roots of the terrestrial shrub Ferula hermonis. This fucoidan fraction was termed FUFe, and contained fucose, glucose, sulfate, smaller amounts of monosaccharides such as galactose and mannose, and a minor quantity of proteins. FUFe structural features were investigated by FTIR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopy. The antioxidant property of FUFe was measured by DPPH, ABTS and FRAP assays, which revealed a high radical scavenging capacity that was confirmed in in vitro cellular models. In hepatic and endothelial cells, 50 μg/mL FUFe could reduce ROS production induced by intracellular lipid accumulation. Moreover, in hepatic cells FUFe exhibited a significant antisteatotic action, being able to reduce intracellular triglyceride content and to regulate the expression of key genes of hepatic lipid metabolism. In this paper, we consider an exchange economy à la Shitovitz (Econometrica 41:467–501, 1973), with atoms and an atomless set. We associate with it a strategic market game of the kind first proposed by Lloyd S. Shapley, known as the Shapley window model. We analyze the relationship between the set of the Cournot–Nash allocations of the strategic market game and the Walras allocations of the exchange economy with which it is associated. We show, with an example, that even when atoms are countably infinite, any Cournot–Nash allocation of the game is not a Walras allocation of the underlying exchange economy. Accordingly, in the original spirit of Cournot (Recherches sur les principes mathématiques de la théorie des richesses. Hachette, Paris, 1838), we partially replicate the mixed exchange economy by increasing the number of atoms, without affecting the atomless part, and ensuring that the measure space of agents remains finite. Our main theorem shows that any sequence of Cournot–Nash allocations of the strategic market games associated with the partial replications of the exchange economy has a limit point for each trader and that the assignment determined by these limit points is a Walrasian allocation of the original economy. 相似文献

The ring of integer-valued polynomials on A with coefficients in K is \( Int _K(A) = \{f \in K[X] \mid f(A) \subseteq A\}\), which generalizes the classic ring \( Int (D) = \{f \in K[X] \mid f(D) \subseteq D\}\) of integer-valued polynomials on D. The condition on \(A \cap K\) implies that \(D[X] \subseteq Int _K(A) \subseteq Int (D)\), and we say that \( Int _K(A)\) is nontrivial if \( Int _K(A) \ne D[X]\). For any integral domain D, we prove that if A is finitely generated as a D-module, then \( Int _K(A)\) is nontrivial if and only if \( Int (D)\) is nontrivial. When A is not necessarily finitely generated but D is Dedekind, we provide necessary and sufficient conditions for \( Int _K(A)\) to be nontrivial. The post-buckling behaviour of anisotropic stiffened panels with initial imperfections is investigated. Since buckling of the skin between the stiffeners often occurs first, a non-linear analysis is developed for symmetric panels under biaxial compression in order to obtain the out-of-plane panel deflection in the post-buckling range. The non-linear differential equations are expressed in terms of the out-of-plane displacement and the Airy function. They are solved with the Galerkin method for various boundary conditions by imposing an edge displacement control. The theoretical and experimental results obtained by the present analysis show that the transverse load can greatly influence the buckling loads and halfwave number. Since no experimental results have been found in the literature, several tests have been carried out on graphite/epoxy blade stiffened panels 900 mm long and 620 mm wide applying simultaneously biaxial compression loads with several combined ratios. An eccentricity results between longitudinal and transverse load, because the longitudinal compression is applied along the centroidal axes of the stiffened section while the transverse compression is applied to the skin panel. The correlation between the experimental and analytical results has been quite good; the experimental results demonstrate the influence of eccentricity of the transverse load on panel deflection in the pre- and post-buckling range. 相似文献

Isorhodopsin is the visual pigment analogue of rhodopsin. It shares the same opsin environment but it embeds 9‐cis retinal instead of 11‐cis. Its photoisomerization is three times slower and less effective. The mechanistic rationale behind this observation is revealed by combining high‐level quantum‐mechanical/molecular‐mechanical simulations with ultrafast optical spectroscopy with sub‐20 fs time resolution and spectral coverage extended to the near‐infrared. Whereas in rhodopsin the photoexcited wavepacket has ballistic motion through a single conical intersection seam region between the ground and excited states, in isorhodopsin it branches into two competitive deactivation pathways involving distinct conical intersection funnels. One is rapidly accessed but unreactive. The other is slower, as it features extended steric interactions with the environment, but it is productive as it follows forward bicycle pedal motion. 相似文献

Iodine and bromine species participate in key atmospheric reactions including the formation of cloud condensation nuclei and ozone depletion. We present a novel method coupling a high-performance liquid chromatography with ion chromatography and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, which allows the determination of iodine (I) and bromine (Br) species (IO 3 ? , I?, Br?, BrO 3 ? ) at the picogram-per-gram levels presents in Antarctic ice. Chromatographic separation was achieved using an IONPAC® AS16 Analytical Column with NaOH as eluent. Detection limits for I and Br species were 5 to 9 pg g?1 with an uncertainty of less than 2.5% for all considered species. Inorganic iodine and bromine species have been determined in Antarctic ice core samples, with concentrations close to the detection limits for iodine species, and approximately 150 pg g?1 for Br?. Although iodate (IO 3 ? ) is the most abundant iodine species in the atmosphere, only the much rarer iodide (I?) species was present in Antarctic Holocene ice.
