This work describes a novel type of working electrode for use in voltammetry and polarography — the renewable silver liquid amalgam film–modified silver solid amalgam annular band electrode (AgLAF–AgSAE). The electrode is produced by mechanically refreshing the silver liquid amalgam film (AgLAF) before each measurement. The main constituents of the electrode are: a specially constructed silver solid amalgam annular band electrode (AgSAE), two silicon O-rings, silver liquid amalgam and a polypropylene electrode body. Contaminants from the analyzed solution are removed and the AgSAE surface is covered with a thick layer of fresh amalgam while pulling the AgSAE into the sensor body. During movement in the reverse direction AgLAF is formed and homogenized. The time needed to refresh the film is less than 1 s. The electrode is characterized by excellent surface repeatability (~ 1%) and long-term stability (over ten thousand measurement cycles). 相似文献

We develop a method for adaptive mesh refinement for steady state problems that arise in the numerical solution of Cahn–Hilliard equations with an obstacle free energy. The problem is discretized in time by the backward-Euler method and in space by linear finite elements. The adaptive mesh refinement is performed using residual based a posteriori estimates; the time step is adapted using a heuristic criterion. We describe the space–time adaptive algorithm and present numerical experiments in two and three space dimensions that demonstrate the usefulness of our approach. 相似文献

In this study, electron paramagnetic resonance of γ-irradiated single crystals of N-Trifluoroacetyl-α-amino isobutyric acid (F3Ac-Aib-OH) was investigated at room temperature and analyzed for different orientations of the crystal in the magnetic field. The paramagnetic species in N-Trifluoroacetyl-α-aminoisobutyric acid was attributed to the ?F2-R radical (R= CONHC(CH3)COOH). Hyperfine coupling constants and g value were also determined. In addition, the single crystal of F3Ac-Aib-OH was UV-irradiated and paramagnetic species formed was studied at room temperature. Nonconjugated bipolar transport polymers have been developed as host materials for electroluminescent devices by incorporating both electron‐transporting and hole‐transporting functionalities into copolymers. The random copolymer PCt‐nvk3‐7 containing mesogen‐jacketed segment of P‐Ct have been synthesized and characterized. The effect of mesogen‐jacketed segment content of these bipolar copolymers on device performance has been investigated. The results of polymer light‐emitting diodes (PLEDs) show that the jacketed content of copolymers has a significant effect on device performance: lowering charge transport and facilitating the hole‐electron recombination leads to much higher current efficiency. Applying these high triplet random copolymers as host, the maximum current efficiency of 0.70 cd/A and the maximum brightness of 1872.8 cd/m2 was achieved for PCt‐nvk3‐7 with an orange‐emitting complex dopant. The results suggest that the bipolar copolymers PCt‐nvks can be good host polymers for electrophosphorescent devices. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The main result of the present note states that it is consistent with the ZFC axioms of set theory (relying on Martin's Maximum MM axiom), that every Asplund space of density character ω1 has a renorming with the Mazur intersection property. The aim of this work was construction of the new wavelet function and verification that a continuous wavelet transform with a specially defined dedicated mother wavelet is a useful tool for precise detection of end-point in a potentiometric titration. The proposed algorithm does not require any initial information about the nature or the type of analyte and/or the shape of the titration curve. The signal imperfection, as well as random noise or spikes has no influence on the operation of the procedure.The optimization of the new algorithm was done using simulated curves and next experimental data were considered. In the case of well-shaped and noise-free titration data, the proposed method gives the same accuracy and precision as commonly used algorithms. But, in the case of noisy or badly shaped curves, the presented approach works good (relative error mainly below 2% and coefficients of variability below 5%) while traditional procedures fail. Therefore, the proposed algorithm may be useful in interpretation of the experimental data and also in automation of the typical titration analysis, specially in the case when random noise interfere with analytical signal. 相似文献

A series of 4-phenyl-2-aryl-8-methyl-6-oxo-7-phenylhydrazo-2H,4H,6H,7H,8H[1,3,4,2]-oxadiazaborolo[2,3-b][1,3,2]oxazaborines were prepared in high yields via the reaction of phenylboronic acid with various N-acylhydrazones of 3-keto-2-(2′-phenylhydrazono) butanoic acid in the presence of 4 Å molecular sieves. These derivatives represent a novel class of zwitterionic, tetrahedral boron heterocycles. Single crystal X-ray analysis of a representative boron containing product is reported. 相似文献
