By using the convenient protocol for conversion of 2-substituted furans into 4-oxo-2-alkenoic acids ((i) NBS, (ii) NaClO(2)), macrosphelide B (2) was synthesized from furyl alcohol 5 (>98% ee) and acid 6 (99% ee). The protocol was first applied to the PMB ether of 5 to afford acid 13b. On the other hand, DCC condensation of acid 6 with 5 gave 16 after deprotection of the TBS group. Condensation was again carried out between 13b and 16 to furnish the key ketone 17, which upon reduction with Zn(BH(4))(2) afforded anti alcohol 18 stereoselectively (15:1). After protection/deprotection steps, the furan 18 was converted to seco acid 3 by using the furan oxidation protocol mentioned above, and lactonization of 3 with Cl(3)C(6)H(2)COCl, Et(3)N, and DMAP afforded 22 (MOM ether of 2), which upon deprotection with TFA produced 2. Transformation of 22 to macrosphelide A (1) was then investigated. Although the chelation-controlled reduction of 22 should afford the desired anti alcohol 24, Zn(BH(4))(2) at <-90 degrees C gave a 2 approximately 1:1 mixture of anti/syn alcohols. On the contrary, reduction with NaBH(4) in MeOH at -15 degrees C produced the syn isomer 23 with >10:1 diastereoselectivity. Mitsunobu inversion of the resulting C(14)-hydroxyl group and deprotection of the MOM group with TFA afforded 1. Similarly, reduction of 2 with NaBH(4) afforded the C(14)-epimer of 1 stereoselectively. The observed stereoselectivity in the reductions of 22 and 2 could be explained on the basis of computer-assisted calculation, which showed presence of the low-energy conformers responsible for the stereoselective reduction. Zinc oxide (ZnO) and Cu-doped ZnO (CZO) thin films were prepared on borosilicate glass substrates by spray pyrolysis technique. The X-ray diffraction study revealed that Cu doping caused a reduction in crystallite size. AFM study showed an increase in roughness with doping. This is attributed to the aggregation of particles to form clusters. From transmission electron microscopy analysis, the particle size is measured to be in the range 30–65 nm (average particle size 48 nm) for undoped ZnO, whereas it is in the range 24–56 nm (average particle size 40 nm) for CZO film. The electrical resistivity of the thin films was investigated in the presence of air as well as N2 mixed air at different temperatures in the range 30–270 °C. The change in resistivity properties was explained on the basis of conduction phenomena within the grain along with the grain boundaries as well as Cu- and N2-induced defect states. The thermal activation energy of ZnO was found to be in the range 0.04–0.7 eV and dependent on Cu doping and N2 level in air. 相似文献

We present a search for Kaluza-Klein (KK) particles predicted by models with universal extra dimensions (UED) using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 7.3 fb(-1), collected by the D0 detector at a pp center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV. The decay chain of KK particles can lead to a final state with two muons of the same charge. This signature is used to set a lower limit on the compactification scale of R(-1)>260 GeV in a minimal UED model. 相似文献

We study WW and WZ production with ?νqq (?=e,μ) final states using data collected by the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider corresponding to 4.3 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity from pp collisions at sqrt[s]=1.96 TeV. Assuming the ratio between the production cross sections σ(WW) and σ(WZ) as predicted by the standard model, we measure the total WV (V=W,Z) cross section to be σ(WV)=19.6(-3.0)(+3.2) pb and reject the background-only hypothesis at a level of 7.9 standard deviations. We also use b-jet discrimination to separate the WZ component from the dominant WW component. Simultaneously fitting WW and WZ contributions, we measure σ(WW)=15.9(-3.2)(+3.7) pb and σ(WZ)=3.3(-3.3)(+4.1) pb, which is consistent with the standard model predictions. 相似文献

We search for resonant WW or WZ production by using up to 5.4 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity collected by the D0 experiment in run II of the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. The data are consistent with the standard model background expectation, and we set limits on a resonance mass by using the sequential standard model W' boson and the Randall-Sundrum model graviton G as benchmarks. We exclude a sequential standard model W' boson in the mass range 180-690 GeV and a Randall-Sundrum graviton in the range 300-754 GeV at 95% C.L. 相似文献
