We consider stationary stochastic processes arising from dynamical systems by evaluating a given observable along the orbits of the system. We focus on the extremal behaviour of the process, which is related to the entrance in certain regions of the phase space, which correspond to neighbourhoods of the maximal set \(\mathcal M\), i.e.,the set of points where the observable is maximised. The main novelty here is the fact that we consider that the set \(\mathcal M\) may have a countable number of points, which are associated by belonging to the orbit of a certain point, and may have accumulation points. In order to prove the existence of distributional limits and study the intensity of clustering, given by the Extremal Index, we generalise the conditions previously introduced in Freitas (Adv Math 231(5): 2626–2665, 2012, Stoch Process Appl 125(4): 1653–1687, 2015). 相似文献

Anuran, such as Brazilian toad Bufo ictericus Spix, 1824, possess a calcified dermal layer called the Eberth-Katschenko (EK) layer located between the stratum spongiosum and the stratum compactum. It has been regarded as a protective barrier against desiccation or involved in storage and mobilization of calcium, or a barrier for the interchange of substances between the animal's internal and external environment. The B. ictericus integument was removed from the ventral and dorsal regions and examined by light microscopy, using histochemical techniques, and also submitted to biochemical calcium analysis. The intermediate layer is strongly basophilic and metachromatic. In the EK layer Alcian blue at different critical electrolytic concentration revealed hyaluronic acid, which coexists with the dermal calcium. We conclude that the EK layer of B. ictericus is a discontinuous layer and is formed of hyaluronic acid and a sulfated GAG different from chondroitin sulfate, heparin and heparan sulfate or keratan sulfate. The amount of cutaneous calcium is independent of region and sex. GAGs may play an important role in dermal hydric balance, protecting the animal against desiccation, and hyaluronic acid is probably able to anchor dermal calcium. Thus, all compounds of the EK layer are essential for integument integrity and functionality. 相似文献

In the present contribution it is applied first-principles calculations to investigate the electronic structure of boron nitride M?bius stripes, with armchair and zigzag configurations, obtained from boron nitride nanoribbons using a ??cut?? and ??glue?? process. The results show that the structural stability strongly depends on the length and width of the stripe. It is also found that the energy gap and work function depends on the structure chirality. The influence of hydrogen loading temperature on the mechanical strength of optical fibers is investigated. Fibers subjected to high-pressure hydrogen loading at different temperatures were submitted to bend tests, and the results compared with those for pristine fibers. The Weibull probability distribution function was used to analyze the data of the mechanical bending strength of the fibers. Fiber strength is reduced by the presence of hydrogen, and this decrease is greater for higher hydrogen loading temperatures. The mechanical properties of the polymers used to coat fibers are affected by the hydrogen loading process and also by the increase in temperature. However, there is no evidence of cracks formation that might allow water to penetrate to the surface of the glass. Observation using scanning electron microscopy revealed that the morphology of fractures in nonhydrogen-loaded fibers have distinct fracture characteristics to that of fibers that are hydrogen loaded at 90°C and 120°C. 相似文献

A new mesh refinement technique for unstructured grids is discussed. The new technique presents the important advantage of maintaining the original grid skewness, thanks to the capability of handling hanging nodes. The paper also presents an interpretation of MacCormack's method in an unstructured grid context. of the MgO–Al2O3–SiO2
ternary system, constituted by 28.5 mol% ofMgO, 28.5 mol% of Al2O3
and 43mol%of SiO2, were activated in a roll mill and
calcined at different temperatures. The influence of the grinding time, the
used SiO2 precursor and activation medium, furthermore
the mass ratio between the powdered sample and zirconia cylinders was investigated
on the reactivity of the MgO–Al2O3–SiO2
ternary system. FTIR spectra and the X-ray powder diffraction patterns indicates
the formation of Mg(OH)2 at 393 K, of forsterite (MgSi2O5)
and enstatite (MgSiO3) at 1223 K and of spinel (MgAl2O4)
between 1223 and 1523 K in some samples. The presence of cordierite (Mg2Al2Si5O18) was observed at 1523 K, a reaction pathway concerning

Summary The addition of organic solvents (light aliphatic, heavy aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons) in Brazilian gasoline is unfortunately very frequent, and this illicit practice impares gasoline quality. Gas chromatography (GC) and gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analyses can be used as a procedure to improve the detection of adulterated gasoline. The results showed that adulterated samples and also the type of organic solvent used in adulteration can be detected by comparison of chromatographic profiles (standard samples versus adulterated samples). However, a single GC analysis can detect an adulterated gasoline, and so decrease the number of adulterated samples approved as presenting good quality. 相似文献

Abstract The electron spin resonance of (TMTSF)2PF6 has been observed at low fields (Ho < 110 Oe) in the high pressure, metallic phase (p > 6.5 kbar) in the temperature range 1-4?K. The anisotropy in the g value is similar to that observed at ambient pressure above the metal-insulator transition. The linewidth is very narrow and the spin susceptibility strongly decreases as the superconducting transition is approached from above. We interpret this as evidence for singlet-paired superconductivity. Superconductivity is observed at 1.1 K and the critical field has angular dependence in the be plane. These observations lead us to conclude that (TMTSF)2PF6 is a singlet paired superconductor. 相似文献
