In the present work, the transport of Zn(II) metal ion from an aqueous nitrate solution of different metal ions through a polymer inclusion membrane (PIM) containing calix[4]resorcinarene derivative used as a carrier were investigated. Zn(II)metal ion showing high permeability were transported through PIMs prepared from cellulose triacetate (CTA) as a polymeric support material and 2-NPOE as a plasticizer. Total Zn(II) concentration was determined with an Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS) in the acceptor phase. The prepared PIM and supported liquid membrane (SLM) were characterized by using Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM) and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) techniques. The effects of membrane composition, effects of type of plasticizer in the membrane, effects of carrier concentration, and the thickness of the membranes were examined in the facilitated transport experiments of Zn(II) ion through PIM. We compared the performance of SLM experiments under the optimum conditions identified by the PIM studies. Higher permeability coefficient values for Zn(II) was found for SLM, while lower values were ascertained for PIM. The kinetic parameters which have been calculated as the constant rate (k), permeability coefficient (P), flux (J) and diffusion coefficient (D).  相似文献

A new and convenient synthesis for amino‐phthalimide (1H‐isoindole‐1,3(2H)‐dione) derivatives has been developed starting from an α,β‐unsaturated ketone. The ketones were reacted with amines to give aromatic amine products. This is the first time that substituted amine groups have been incorporated in aromatic rings. The mechanism of the product formation is rationalized by the 1,2‐addition of amines to ketones. All aromatic compounds exhibited high fluorescence properties at the blue‐green region.  相似文献

In this study we have employed two ionic liquids (ILs) as a new media for the analysis of aluminum in aqueous solutions by spectrofluorimetric method. ILs are liquid salts and they have no measurable vapor pressure up to their thermal decomposition point, >300 ??C. This lack of vapor pressure makes these materials highly attractive for many studies as they can be used as clean solvents. Besides they are promising environments for analysis purposes and optical sensor designs. The results revealed that absorption, excitation and emission spectra of the morin?CAl complex exhibited considerable changes in moieties. The morin?CAl complex was stable at aluminum concentrations below 9.1?mg?L?1 in 25% 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide (IL-I)-water binary mixtures. The higher concentrations of IL (>25% by volume) was not suitable for the complex formation thus in pure IL media the complex formation even at high aluminum concentrations was not observed. The complex stoichiometry ratio of aluminum:morin was 2:1 in IL-I-water binary mixtures. The linear concentration range was 0.045?C7.2?mg?L?1 with a correlation coefficient of r?=?0.9909. The detection limit was found to be 0.036?mg?L?1. Cu2+, Mn2+ and PO 4 3? ions exhibited less interfering effect in presence of IL-I and the tolerance limit of Cu enhanced 10 times when compared with ethanol.  相似文献

The effect of epitaxial strain on La0.5Ca0.5MnO3 films of various thicknesses grown on SrTiO3, SrLaAlO4, and SrLaGaO4 substrates is studied by Raman spectroscopy, magnetic, and resistivity measurements. The transport and magnetic properties as well as Raman spectra of the films are affected by epitaxial strains. The energy of the Ag(2) mode and the tilting angle of the MnO6 octahedra is affected by the strain imposed by the substrate. In the spectra of the films deposited on the (1 0 0) SrTiO3 substrate strong Jahn-Teller (JT) modes appear, which couple with charge-ordering. In all other films these modes are suppressed and no additional Raman lines are present at low temperatures contrary to the bulk compound. The low frequency continuum scattering decreases at low temperatures indicating a coupling with both the charge and orbital transitions. Comparison of the Raman spectra with the magneto-transport properties suggests an interpretation in terms of a strain induced phase separation between ferromagnetic metallic and antiferromagnetic insulating states.  相似文献

Pesticide use in agriculture is one of the threats to water safety. Therefore, detection of pesticide residues is crucial for human health. Compared to conventional chromatographic methods, aptasensors are promising tools for fast, cheap and sensitive detection of environmental contaminants. To the best of our knowledge, such an aptasensor has not been reported for imidacloprid (Imi) which is one of the most widely used pesticides. In order to meet this demand, we initially selected two novel aptamers designated as ‘Apta‐1’ and ‘Apta‐2’ by graphene oxide‐SELEX (GO‐SELEX) method. Then, these aptamers were used to fabricate the gold electrode‐based aptasensor platforms and characterized by using electrochemical methods such as cyclic voltammetry, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy as well as X‐Ray photoelectron spectroscopy. It was found that the limit of detection value of Apta‐1 based sensor for the Imi was found better than Apta‐2 based system, although linear ranges were similar. Based on that finding, Apta‐1 based system was further tested against possible interference molecules. The proposed platform was successfully used for detection of very low concentrations of Imi in the range of ng/mL. Thus, it eliminates the need for sample pre‐treatment and enables a practical analysis in real wastewater samples.  相似文献

Chitosan membrane with glutathione reductase and sulfhydryl oxidase (SOX) was subsequently integrated onto the surface of spectrographic graphite rods for obtaining a glutathione biosensor. The working principle was based on the monitoring of O2 consumption that correlates the concentration of glutathione during the enzymatic reaction. A linear relationship between sensor response and concentration was obtained between 0.5 and 2.0 mM for oxidized glutathione (GSSG), and 0.2–1.0 mM for reduced glutathione (GSH) in the presence of 2 μM nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) under the optimum working conditions. Also, reduced/oxidized glutathione were separated by HPLC and utility of bienzymatic system was investigated as an electrochemical detector for the analysis of these compounds. Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS) data on high pressure H2/O2 and H2/air flames using the compressible flow formulation, detailed kinetics, a real fluid equation of state, and generalised diffusion are analysed. The DNS is filtered over a range of filter widths to provide exact terms in the Large Eddy Simulation (LES) governing equations, including unclosed terms. The filtered pressure and the filtered heat flux vector are extensively compared with the pressure and the heat flux vector calculated as a function of the filtered primitive variables (i.e. the exact LES term is compared with its form available within an actual LES). The difference between these forms defines the subgrid pressure and the subgrid heat flux vector. The analyses are done both globally across the entire flame, as well as by conditionally averaging over specific regions of the flame; including regions of large subgrid kinetic energy, subgrid scalar dissipation, subgrid temperature variance, flame temperature, etc. In this work, although negligible for purely mixing cases, the gradient of the subgrid pressure is shown to be of the same order as, and larger than, the corresponding divergence of the turbulent subgrid stresses for reacting cases. This is despite the fact that all species behave essentially as ideal gases for this flame and holds true even when the ideal gas law is used to calculate the pressure. The ratio of the subgrid pressure gradient to the subgrid stress tensor divergence is shown to increase with increasing Reynolds number. Both the subgrid heat flux vector and its divergence are found to be substantially larger in reacting flows in comparison with mixing due to the associated larger temperature gradients. However, the divergence of the subgrid heat flux vector tends to be significantly smaller than other unclosed terms in the energy equation with decreasing significance with increasing Reynolds number.  相似文献

Platinum group elements (PGEs) including Rh, Pd, and Pt are important tracers for vehicular emissions, though their measurement is often challenging and difficult to replicate in environmental campaigns. These challenges arise from sample preparation steps required for PGE quantitation, which often cause severe isobaric interferences and spectral overlaps from polyatomic species of other anthropogenically emitted metals. Consequently, most previous road dust studies have either only quantified PGEs or included a small number of anthropogenic elements. Therefore a novel analytical method was developed to simultaneously measure PGEs, lanthanoids, transition and main group elements to comprehensively characterize the elemental composition of urban road and tunnel dusts. Dust samples collected from the vicinity of high-traffic roadways and a busy underwater tunnel restricted to single-axle (predominantly gasoline-driven) vehicles in Houston, TX were analyzed for 45 metals with the newly developed method using dynamic reaction cell-quadrupole-inductively coupled plasma–mass spectrometry (DRC-q-ICP–MS). Average Rh, Pd and Pt concentrations were 152 ± 52, 770 ± 208 and 529 ± 130 ng g−1 respectively in tunnel dusts while they varied between 6 and 8 ng g−1, 10 and 88 ng g−1 and 35 and 131 ng g−1 in surface road dusts. Elemental ratios and enrichment factors demonstrated that PGEs in dusts originated from autocatalyst attrition/abrasion. Strong evidence is also presented for mobile source emissions of Cu, Zn, Ga, As, Mo, Cd, Sn, Sb, Ba, W and Pb. However, all other elements including rare earths most likely arose from weathering, erosion and resuspension of crustal material. These are the first such detailed measurements in Houston, the largest city in TX and fourth largest in the United States. We posit that such investigations will assist in better understanding PGE concentrations in urban environments while providing elemental data necessary to better understand anthropogenic influences on their biogeochemical cycling.  相似文献

Peptide-based nanomaterials have been utilized for various applications from regenerative medicine to electronics since they provide several advantages including easy synthesis methods, numerous routes for functionalization and biomimicry of secondary structures of proteins which leads to design of self-assembling peptide molecules to form nanostructures. Microscopic characterization at nanoscale is critical to understand processes directing peptide molecules to self-assemble and identify structure-function relationship of the nanostructures. Here, fundamental studies in microscopic characterization of peptide nanostructures are discussed to provide insights in widely used microscopy tools. In this review, we will encompass characterization studies of peptide nanostructures with modern microscopes, such as TEM, SEM, AFM, and advanced optical microscopy techniques. We will also mention specimen preparation methods and describe interpretation of the images.  相似文献
