Novel optical polarizer design based on metasurface nano aperture for biological sensing in mid-infrared regime

Since Metasurfaces are playing important roles in optical devices such as optical polarizers and detectors, in this article, we have proposed a novel shape of nano aperture antenna for mid-infrared applications such as bio-sensing and other potential optical applications based on plasmonic characteristic of the gold layer over the SiN substrate. The transmittance tensor is obtained for vertical and horizontal linear polarization and base on boundary condition of the metasurface, the circular polarizations are extracted which are confirmed by the electric field distributions. We have shown by the parametric studies that the phase difference is altered by the gap and slot width and so with the dimension modification, we are able to achieve circular polarizer in the optical range. The biological materials with a thickness of 80 nm have then been placed over the metasurface layer and the figures of merits have been obtained. We have revealed that when the circular polarization is osculated to the metasurface at a special frequency the linear polarization is obtained in the other side of the metasurface. The nano aperture has been modeled and the finite difference time domain calculations are performed in CST Microwave Studio as a commercial full wave simulation software.     

An Efficient Synthesis of 3‐(1H‐Tetrazol‐5‐yl)coumarins (=3‐(1H‐Tetrazol‐5‐yl)‐2H‐1‐benzopyran‐2‐ones) via Domino Knoevenagel Condensation,Pinner Reaction,and 1,3‐Dipolar Cycloaddition in Water

A novel straightforward synthesis of 3‐(1H‐tetrazol‐5‐yl)coumarins (=3‐(1H‐tetrazol‐5‐yl)‐2H‐1‐benzopyran‐2‐ones) 6 via domino Knoevenagel condensation, Pinner reaction, and 1,3‐dipolar cycloaddition of substituted salicylaldehydes (=2‐hydroxybenzaldehydes), malononitrile (propanedinitrile), and sodium azide in H₂O is reported (Scheme 1 and Table 2). This general protocol provides a wide variety of 3‐(1H‐tetrazol‐5‐yl)coumarins in good yields under mild reaction conditions.     

A Novel Method for the Synthesis of Spiro[indoline‐Pyrazolo[4′,3′:5,6]pyrido[2,3‐d]pyrimidine]triones by Alum as a Reusable Catalyst

Synthesis of spiro[indoline‐pyrazolo[4′,3′:5,6]pyrido[2,3‐d]pyrimidine]trione derivatives by a cyclo‐condensation reaction of indolin‐2‐ones, barbituric acids, and 1,3‐diphenyl‐1H‐pyrazol‐5‐amines with the ionic liquid as an effective green reaction media and in the presence of Alum as a reusable catalyst was reported. Excellent yields of products, green media, use of a reusable catalyst, and short reaction time are the main advantages of this new method.     

Efficient TMG catalyzed synthesis of 1,2,3-triazoles

A practical and efficient method for the synthesis of 1,2,3-triazoles via the cycloaddition reaction of azides and CH-acids in the presence of 1,1,3,3-tetramethylguanidine (TMG) in ethanol at 30 °C has been reported. The simple experimental procedure, short reaction times, and good yields are the advantages of the present method.     

An Efficient Isocyanide‐Based Three‐Component Diastereoselective Synthesis of Chromane‐3,4‐dicarboxamides

An efficient method for the diastereoselective synthesis of chromane‐3,4‐dicarboxamides via the three‐component reaction of 2‐oxo‐2H‐chromene‐3‐carboxylic acids, amines, and isocyanides in MeCN is reported.     

Synthesis of New Tetrahydro‐1,5‐benzodiazepin‐3‐yl‐2‐phenylacetamides via Isocyanide‐Based Multicomponent Reactions

New tetrahydro‐1H‐1,5‐benzodiazepin‐2‐phenylacetamides were synthesized in good yields by a four‐component reaction of benzylidene Meldrum's acid, benzene‐1,2‐diamines, isocyanides, and water in CH₂Cl₂ at room temperature.     

One-pot synthesis and antibacterial activities of novel 1H-pyridazino[1,2-a]indazole-1,6,9(2H,11H)-triones

Synthesis of novel 1H-pyridazino[1,2-a]indazole-1,6,9(2H,11H)-triones using one-pot, three components reaction of 1,2-dihydropyridazine-3,6-dione, dimedone and aldehydes under solvent-free conditions has been reported. These products were evaluated in vitro for their antibacterial activities.
