Mass spectrometric investigation of ethyl-containing siloxanes and aromatic silyl ethers

The mass spectra of four linear ethylsiloxanes and eight aromatic silyl ethers are reported. General fragmentation patterns for the benzyltriethylsilyl ethers and their vinylogues are discussed. The spectra of the ethylsiloxanes and ethers are compared with those of their methyl analogues.     

Investigation of unsaturated lactones

Transesterification with subsequent cyclization to 4-carbethoxy-5,6,6-trialkyl-3-hydro-2-pyrones occurs during condensation of -keto alcohols with diethyl succinate. 4-Carbethoxy-5,6,6-trimethyl-3-hydro-2-pyrone was obtained by reaction of dimethylethynylcarbinol with the ethyl ester of succinic acid monochloride and subsequent hydration of the acetylenic ester and cyclization.See [1] for communication XXIII.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 12, pp. 1604–1607, December, 1973.     

Synthesis of heterospirans containing a γ-lactone ring

Reactions of α-ketols with diethyl malonate at the molar ratio 2:1 in the presence of K₂CO₃ were investigated. The heterospiranes obtained contained a dihydrofuran and a γ-lactone rings. The optimum conditions for the synthesis of heterospiranes were found by varying the ratio of the initial compounds: α-ketoalcohol (or 2-ethoxycarbonyl-, 2-methoxycarbonyl-, 2-cyano-3,4,4-trimethyl-2-buten-4-olides), diethyl malonate, K₂CO₃, by varying the environment, and also the temperature and the time of the reaction.     

Stable aziridinium salts of oxalic and 2,5-dihydro-4,5,5-trimethyl-2-oxo-5-furancarboxylic acids

Conclusions Stable salts of aziridine, 2-methylaziridine, and 2,2-dimethylaziridine with the oxalic and 2,5-dihydro-4,5,5~trimethyl-2-oxo-5-furancarboxylic acids were obtained.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 1, pp. 192–194, January, 1983.     

Hydrocarbalkoxylation of cyclohexene and carbalkoxylation of cyclohexanol with formic esters

Conclusions Mixtures of the esters of the 1-methylcyclopentanecarboxylic and cyclohexanecarboxylic acids were obtained in a 48 ratio by the hydrocarbalkoxylation of cyclohexene and the carbalkoxylation of cyclohexanol with alkyl formates at atmospheric pressures and temperatures of 10–30° in the presence of acids.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 3, pp. 704–705, March, 1973.     

Synthesis of s-substituted derivatives of cyclic thionamides

A new preparative method for synthesizing S-substituted derivatives of cyclic thionamides by the cleavage of salts of thionamides with five-, six-, and seven-membered rings has been developed. It has been shown that the onium salts of the N-substituted derivatives of cyclic thionamides undergo cleavage at the C-S bond under the action of water or a weak base with the formation of N-substituted lactams and mercaptans.     

Inequalities of Littlewood--Paley Type for n-Harmonic Functions on the Polydisk

For n-harmonic functions on the unit polydisk in the space $\mathbb{C}^n $ we define g-functions of Littlewood--Paley type and establish L ^p-inequalities related to them. In the present paper, the main theorems deal with the extension of results of Littlewood, Paley, and Flett to the polydisk and their generalizion to fractional derivatives of arbitrary order. This gives an answer to a question posed by Littlewood.
