Density functional theory quantum chemical calculations of thermodynamic stabilities in the gas phase and in water were carried out for 1,3,4-oxadiazole and 1,3,4-thiadiazole, 1,2,4-1H-triazole and 1,2,4-4H-triazole, 1,2,3,4-1H-tetrazole and 1,2,3,4-2H-tetrazole molecules, and for cationic and bipolar (carbenoid) intermediates formed by these molecules in electrophilic substitution reactions (with proton as model electrophile) and the results obtained are compared. Differences in the chemical behavior of pairs of isomeric 1H- and 4H-1,2,4-triazoles and 1H- and 2H-tetrazoles are analyzed. 相似文献

Antibacterial activity of tetracationic compounds based on 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO) bis-quaternary salts with dodecyl substituents bound by linker groups containing four carbon atoms was studied. All the compounds exhibited activity against the test-strains under study. The gram-positive culture S. aureus was found to be the most sensitive to the influence of compounds in question. The highest activity against S. aureus was exhibited by the compounds containing a but-2-yne or a butane linker; their efficiency exceeded that of the reference compound, antibiotic Ciprofloxacin. For the gram-negative culture P. aeruginosa, the highest activity was exhibited by the compound containing a but-2-yne linker. The compounds with a but-2-yne or a butane linker are stable in the presence of nitrogen-containing nucleophiles, which makes them promising for further studies. 相似文献

We outline two methodologies to selectively characterize the Brønsted acidity of the external surface of FAU-type zeolites by IR and NMR spectroscopy of adsorbed basic probe molecules. The challenge and goal are to develop reliable and quantitative IR and NMR methodologies to investigate the accessibility of acidic sites in the large pore FAU-type zeolite Y and its mesoporous derivatives often referred to as ultra-stable Y (USY). The accessibility of their Brønsted acid sites to probe molecules (n-alkylamines, n-alkylpyridines, n-alkylphosphine- and phenylphosphine-oxides) of different molecular sizes is quantitatively monitored either by IR or 31P NMR spectroscopy. It is now possible, for the first time to quantitatively discriminate between the Brønsted acidity located in the microporosity and on the external surface of large pore zeolites. For instance, the number of external acid sites on a Y (LZY-64) zeolite represents 2 % of its total acid sites while that of a USY (CBV760) represents 4 % while the latter has a much lower framework Si/Al ratio. 相似文献

A new C(3v)-symmetrical calix[6]azacryptand, that is, calix[6]tmpa (11), was synthesized by efficient [1+1] macrocyclization reactions. Remarkably, both linear and convergent synthetic strategies that were applied lead to equally good overall yields. Calix[6]tmpa behaves as a single proton sponge and appeared reluctant to undergo polyprotonation, unlike classical tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine (tmpa) derivatives. It also acts as a good host for ammonium ions. Interestingly, it strongly binds a sodium ion and a neutral guest molecule, such as a urea, an amide, or an alcohol, in a cooperative way. A (1)H NMR study indicated that the ligand, as well as its complexes, adopt a major flattened cone conformation that is the opposite of that observed with the previously reported calix[6]cryptands. Characterization of the monoprotonated derivative 11H(+) by X-ray diffraction also revealed the presence of a 1,3-alternate conformation, which is the first example of its kind in the calix[6]arene family. This conformer is probably also present in solution as a minor species. The important covalent constraint induced by the polyaromatic tmpa cap on the calixarene skeleton, and conversely from the calix core onto the tmpa moiety, is the likely basis for the unique conformational and chemical properties of this host. 相似文献

A simple “green synthesis” of noble metal nanoparticles by direct reaction between Dextran‐graft‐lactone copolymers and metal salts without the need to separately add reducing and stabilizing agents was carried out. The effects of the composition, molecular weights of copolymers and solvents on the characteristics of the nanoparticles were considered. The amphiphilic character of the copolymers seems to be an important factor in the results of the synthesis. According to the results, general correlations between experimental parameters of synthesis and characteristics of the obtained nanoparticles were established. Techniques such as, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, UV–visible spectroscopy, Zeta Potential, dynamic light scattering and Fourier transform Infrared Spectroscopy, were used for the characterization of the products. In this work we report on the design, microfabrication and analytical performances of a new electrochemical sensor array (ESA) which allows for the first time the simultaneous amperometric detection of nitric oxide (NO) and peroxynitrite (ONOO(-)), two biologically relevant molecules. The on-chip device includes individually addressable sets of gold ultramicroelectrodes (UMEs) of 50 μm diameter, Ag/AgCl reference electrode and gold counter electrode. The electrodes are separated into two groups; each has one reference electrode, one counter electrode and 110 UMEs specifically tailored to detect a specific analyte. The ESA is incorporated on a custom interface with a cell culture well and spring contact pins that can be easily interconnected to an external multichannel potentiostat. Each UME of the network dedicated to the detection of NO is electrochemically modified by electrodepositing thin layers of poly(eugenol) and poly(phenol). The detection of NO is performed amperometrically at 0.8 V vs. Ag/AgCl in phosphate buffer solution (PBS, pH = 7.4) and other buffers adapted to biological cell culture, using a NO-donor. The network of UMEs dedicated to the detection of ONOO(-) is used without further chemical modification of the surface and the uncoated gold electrodes operate at -0.1 V vs. Ag/AgCl to detect the reduction of ONOOH in PBS. The selectivity issue of both sensors against major biologically relevant interfering analytes is examined. Simultaneous detection of NO and ONOO(-) in PBS is also achieved. 相似文献

Two agro-based anionic surfactants containing an isosorbide moiety have been synthesized and their amphiphilic properties evaluated. Since isosorbide is now considered as an important platform chemical of the starch industry, these compounds could represent bio-sourced alternatives to the alkyl ether sulfates (notably lauryl ether sulfate, LES) that are based on petroleum-derived ethylene oxides. As isosorbide is an asymmetric diol, two isomers can be prepared (2-O-dodecyl isosorbide sulfate and 5-O-dodecyl isosorbide sulfate) that show significantly different aqueous properties as regards to their Krafft temperatures and critical micellar concentrations. 5-O-dodecyl isosorbide sulfate is the most soluble and the most efficient surfactant. It possesses a much lower critical micelle concentration (cmc) than sodium dodecyl sulfate, SDS, leading to comparable foaming properties with a three times lower concentration. Its behavior compares well with the one of pure diethoxylated dodecyl sulfate that has also been prepared and evaluated in this work. 相似文献
