In the present study, the expression of first pressure derivative of bulk modulus B′?earlier derived by Goyal and Gupta EoS [7] is corrected and the validity of the EoS is then verified in extreme compression region. The expressions of second and third order pressure derivative of bulk modulus are obtained. The values of B′, B2B? to BB″,?Grunesien parameters?λ∞,?γ∞,?q∞ at infinite pressure (P?→?∞)?are calculated using the identities [11–13] to check the validity of the equation in extreme compression region. The Goyal and Gupta EoS is then used to study the volume compression in diatomic solids, LiH and MgO. The values of pressure, bulk modulus and its first order pressure derivative at different compressions are calculated and compared with the results obtained from Hama–Suito EoS. The results justify the validity of the present EoS in high pressure region and the results for diatomic solids are also found in good consistency with the compared results. 相似文献

The electronic structure of the heme unit of deoxyhemoglobin including the proximal imidazole has been studied using the first-principles Hartree-Fock procedure. Our results for the 57mFe isomer shift and asymmetry parameter are in very good agreement with the values obtained from Mössbauer spectroscopy measurements. The 57mFe nuclear quadrupole coupling constant is smaller than the experimental result and possible ways to improve the agreement in the future are discussed. Improved analysis of the Mössbauer data, removing some approximations made for deriving the magnetic hyperfine tensor for the 57mFe nucleus, is suggested to allow quantitative comparison with our results in the future. 相似文献

In this paper, we describe the design, construction and performance of a new high resolution neutron powder diffractometer
that has been installed at the Dhruva reactor, Trombay, India. The instrument employs novel design concepts like the use of
bent, perfect crystal monochromator and open beam geometry, enabling the use of smaller samples. The resolution curve of the
instrument was found to have little variation over a wide angular region and a Δd/d ∼ 0.3% has been achieved. The instrument provides sample environment of very low temperatures and high magnetic fields using
a 7 Tesla cryogen-free superconducting magnet with a VTI having a temperature range of 1.5–320 K. The special sample environment
and high resolution make this neutron powder diffractometer a very powerful facility for studying magnetic properties of materials.

This paper investigates the cluster-modified function projective synchronisation (CMFPS) of a generalised linearly coupled network with asymmetric coupling and nonidentical dynamical nodes. A novel synchronisation scheme is proposed to achieve CMFPS in community networks. We use adaptive control method to derive CMFPS criteria based on Lyapunov stability theory. Each cluster of networks is synchronised with target system by state transformation with scaling function matrix. The integrals evaluated are very general in nature and generalise the well-known integrals due to Mittal and Gupta, Goyal, Olkha, Dahiya and others. A simple phenomenological lattice theory based on the Lundqvist potential of ionic cohesion (many body theory of elastic dielectric), to explain photoelastic behaviour of the solids with rock-salt structure, is presented and shown to apply within reasonable errors to the known experimental constants. Y2BaCuO5YBa2Cu3O7-x
(Y211/Y123) interfaces in melt-processed YBa2Cu3O7-x
were studied by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. Yttrium enrichment and barium depletion were observed locally at the Y211/Y123 interfaces where Y123 (001) facets were present. This effect may be interpreted as the result of lattice substitution of Ba by Y near these interfaces. Cation nonstoichiometry was found near Y211/Y123 interfaces where liquid phases (Cu-Ba-O) were present. This chemical disorder introduces numerous point defects in the Y123, and these defects may act as additional pinning sites alongwith stacking faults. A comparison of grain boundary (GB) chemical composition in polycrystalline YBa2Cu3O7-x
and YBa2Cu4O8(Y124), studied using nanoprobe parallel-detection electron energy-loss spectroscopy (EELS), is presented. The studies of Y124 show that stoichiometric grain boundaries can also form weak links between superconducting grains. It is suggested that weak-link behavior is determined largely by misorientation at grain boundaries. 相似文献
