The kinetics of the substitution reactions of [Pt(dach)(H2O)2]2+ and [Pt(en)(H2O)2]2+ (where ‘dach’ and ‘en’ are cis-1,2-diaminocyclohexane and ethylenediamine, respectively) with excess N,N′-diethylthiourea have been studied in aqueous solution by UV–Vis spectrophotometry. The effect of different N–N spectator ligands on the reactivity of platinum(II) complexes was investigated by studying the water lability of the reactant complexes. The kinetic study has been substantiated by product isolation, IR, NMR and ESI-MS spectral analysis and DFT calculations. The reactions follow normal square-planar substitution mainly in an associative way. Rate parameters have been evaluated under different conditions. The substitution rates of the complexes studied can be tuned through the nature of the N–N chelates, which is important in the development of new active compounds for cancer therapy.  相似文献

The kinetics of the interaction of three glycine‐containing dipeptides, namely, glycine‐L‐leucine (Gly‐Leu), glycine‐L‐isoleucine (Gly‐Ile), and glycine‐valine (Gly‐Val) with [Pt(en)(H2O)2](ClO4)2 has been studied spectrophotometrically as a function of [substrate complex], [dipeptides] and temperature at a particular pH(4.0), where the substrate complex exists predominantly as the diaqua species and the dipeptides as a zwitterion. The substitution reaction shows two consecutive steps; the first is the ligand‐assisted anation and the second is the chelation step. The activation parameters for both the steps were evaluated using Eyring's equation. The low ΔH1 and large negative value of ΔS1 as well as ΔH2 and ΔS2 indicate an associative mode of activation for both the aqua ligand substitution processes. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Clusters of high aspect ratio, high surface area anatase-TiO2 nanotubes with a typical nanotube outer diameter of about 18 nm, wall thickness of approximately 5 nm and length of 5-10 μm were synthesized, in powder form, by breakdown anodization of Ti foils in 0.1 M perchloric acid, at 10 V (299 K) and 20 V (∼275 and 299 K). The surface area, morphology, structure and band gap were determined from Brunauer Emmet Teller method, field emmission scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Raman, photoluminescence and diffuse reflectance spectroscopic studies. The tubular morphology and anatase phase were found to be stable up to 773 K and above 773 K anatase phase gradually transformed to rutile phase with disintegration of tubular morphology. At 973 K, complete transformation to rutile phase and disintegration of tubular morphology were observed. The band gap of the as prepared and the annealed samples varied from 3.07 to 2.95 eV with increase in annealing temperature as inferred from photoluminescence and diffuse reflectance studies.  相似文献

The thermal decomposition paths of pyridinium tetra chlorocopper(II) (A) differs from the anilinium tetra chlorocopper(II) (B). In the case of pyridinium tetra chlorocopper(II) it loses two molecules of pyridinium hydrochloride and CuCl2 is formed in the temperature range of 140–350 °C. Whereas the anilinium tetra chlorocopper(II) (B) loses one mole of anilinum hydrochoride along with one molecule of aniline. The compound B has a well define structural change taking place in the region of 70–110 °C which is reflected in DSC as well as resistance measurements. The p-methoxy anilinium tetra chlorocopper(II) monohydrate (C) shows solvatochromicity. The absorption maximum of p-methoxy anilinium tetra chlorocopper(II)monohydrate in acetonitrile (460 nm) changes to 570 nm on addition of methanol. The absorption at 570 nm can be switched back to 460 nm by suppression of ligand exchange with addition of hydrochloric acid. Thus, chemically driven optical switching properties can be observed.  相似文献

An all-optical pseudo random binary sequence (PRBS) generator is designed using serially interconnected discrete Terahertz Optical Asymmetric Demultiplexer (TOAD)-based D flip-flops in a configuration exactly like the standard electronic setup. The performance of the circuit is evaluated through numerical simulation, which confirms its feasibility in terms of the choice of the critical parameters. The proposed scheme has been theoretically demonstrated for a 3-bit and 7-bit degree PRBS but can be extended to higher order by means of additional TOAD-based D flip-flops. Thus it can constitute an efficient solution for implementing all-optically a PRBS in an affordable, controllable and realistic manner.  相似文献
