The unexplored ‘actor’ behavior of redox-active bis(aldimine) congener, p-phenylene-bis(picoline)aldimine (L1), towards dioxygen activation and subsequent functionalization of its backbone was demonstrated on coordination with {Ru(acac)2} (acac= acetylacetonate). Reaction under aerobic condition led to the one-pot generation of dinuclear complexes with unperturbed L1, imino-carboxamido (L2−), and bis(carboxamido) (L32−)-bridged isovalent {RuII(μ-L1)RuII}, 1/ {RuIII(μ-L32−)RuIII}, 3 and mixed-valent {RuII(μ-L2−)RuIII}, 2 . Authentication of the complexes along with the redox non-innocence behavior of their bridge have been validated through structure, spectroelectrochemistry and DFT calculations. Kinetic and isotope labelling experiments together with DFT analyzed transition states justified the consideration of redox shuttling at metal/L1 interface for 3O2 activation despite of the closed shell configuration of 1 (S=0) to give carboxamido derived 2 / 3 . 相似文献

The arrangement of natural and physical features on the earth’s surface are a few among the countless items that govern the airborne acoustic transmission at boundary layers. In particular, if the acoustic waves are attributes of live concerts at open-air theatres, without losing the sheen and quality, the audience should certainly receive the unbroken depth of the performance. Hence, at all times, it is advisable to analyse the auditory receptiveness, particularly in all intended recreational spaces. The current pandemic circumstances and the mandated COVID-19 prevention protocols encourage gatherings in naturally ventilated outdoor regions than confined indoors. This work predicts and quantifies the acoustic experience at the naturally carved amphitheatre at SAINTGITS, an autonomous institution at the down South-West of the Indian Subcontinent. The entire recreational space at SAINTGITS AMPHI was separately modelled as a Base case and Advanced case, and were analysed using the acoustic modelling module of EASE Focus, a renowned simulation freeware, which is in strict adherence with the International standards. The variation in loudness received at the nearest and farthest ends of the amphitheatre was between 67 to 80 dB. Though the Zero frequency SPL (Z-weighting) exhibited the loudness in the range of 81 to 85 dB and could maintain a safer auditory level for any human ear, it was confined to a hemispherical region near the sound source. A vertical beam angle of −4.0° was found to be effective throughout. The procedures and analyses will certainly help the future organizers and stakeholders to effectively plan the resources to reap rich acoustic experience at terrain-centric locales. The surface topography and contours were plotted with another set of freeware, the CADMAPPER and the QUIKGRID, to compare terrain gradient with the known data. Furthermore, this interdisciplinary research exhibits the extensive simulation capability of both EASE Focus and QUIKGRID and demonstrates the modelling versatility and deliverable potential of these freeware to benefit the budding architects and researchers. 相似文献

The paper deals with the phenomenon of reflection of plane elastic waves in a free surface when the medium is initially stressed. It has been shown analytically that the reflected P and SV waves depend on initial stresses present in the medium. The numerical values of reflection coefficients for different initial stresses and the angle of incidence have been calculated by the Computer I.C.L. 1901-A and the results are given in the form of graphs. A new route to obtain a large figure of merit (>1) is reported, for the first time, by considering a one-dimensional quasiperiodic lattice where an electron can hop beyond usual nearest-neighbor sites. A finite positional correlation is imposed among the constituent lattice sites, following the well-known Aubry-André-Harper (AAH) form. In the presence of second-neighbor hopping, the AAH lattice exhibits energy dependent mobility edge which plays the central role for efficient energy conversion. Employing a tight-binding framework, all the thermoelectric quantities are computed based on the standard nonequilibrium Green's function formalism. To save the modern civilization, a fast-track task is the monitoring of the toxic materials for the maintenance of sustainable ecological health and their utilization in a circular economy. Accordingly, optical methods are employed for the detection and estimation of environmental contaminants for immediate monitoring. The stability and structural tunability of the coordination polymeric (CPs) materials make them promising optical sensors for easy, low cost, reliable, selective, and sensitive detection of toxic ions/molecules. The crystallinity, thermal, mechanical, magnetic, and optical stability and flexibility of the CPs play a beneficial role for the accurate and stress-free recognition of the toxicants. In this review, the recent developments as well as the outlook on the sensing of pollutants at a very low concentration level using CPs as selective and specific sensors by spectro-fluorometric method are summarized.
