Several Angustifolia Kunth bamboo fibers, which have been previously treated with an alkaline solution, were coated with magnetite particles. The coating of the fibers was achieved by an in-situ co-precipitation method with Fe2+ and Fe3+in NaOH or NH4OH. The fibers were evaluated by chemical analysis using atomic absorption (A.A.) technique, structural characterization by X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermal stability with thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA) in nitrogen at temperature range between 23 °C and 800 °C and magnetic behavior using vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM) applying a magnetic field between −27 KOe and 27 KOe at room temperature. We found that the thermal stability and magnetization depend of the synthesis method used to cover the Angustifolia Kunth bamboo fibers. In addition, an improved magnetic response was observed when NaOH solution is used to generate the magnetite coating on the fiber surface. 相似文献

A reproducible methodology is described for the synthesis, by following the double emulsion/solvent evaporation technique,
of magnetic nanocomposites (average diameter ≈ 135 nm) consisting of maghemite nuclei and a biodegradable poly(d,l-lactide-co-glycolide) matrix. The heterogeneous structure of the nanoparticles can confer them the responsiveness to magnetic gradients,
giving both the possibility of their use as a drug delivery system and adequate heating characteristics for a hyperthermia
effect. The physical chemistry of the nanocomposites was extensively characterized, this establishing that their surface properties
were similar to that of pure poly(d,l-lactide-co-glycolide). From an electrokinetic point of view, zeta potential determinations (as a function of the ionic strength, and
pH) pointed out that the nanocomposites were almost indistinguishable from the copolymer. The surface thermodynamic analysis
agreed with the electrophoretic one in suggesting that the coverage of the magnetic nuclei was complete, since the hydrophilic
nature of maghemite was modified and the nanoparticles turned into hydrophobic, just like the copolymer, when they were embedded
into poly(d,l-lactide-co-glycolide). The magnetic behaviours of the composite nanoparticles were also checked. Their heating properties were studied
in vitro in a high-frequency alternating gradient of magnetic field: a stable maximum temperature of 47 °C was satisfactorily
achieved within 45 min. Blood compatibility of the nanocomposites was also defined in vitro. To our knowledge, this is the
first time that such kind of magnetic-sensitive nanoformulation with very promising characteristics (e.g. blood compatibility,
magnetic drug targeting capabilities, and hyperthermia) has been developed for therapeutic purposes. 相似文献

Alkali-lignin samples obtained from an untreated paper mill effluent and from the effluent decolourised by the strains Streptomyces avermitilis CECT 3339 and Streptomyces scabies UAH 51 were analysed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) after cupric oxide degradation. The analysis of the depolymerisation products of the alkali-lignin from the decolourised effluents showed a strain specific modification of the aromatic moiety of the alkali-lignin. Moreover, both strains were able to breakdown the aryl-alkyl ether linkages between the cinnamic acids and the lignin. Finally, GC-MS analysis showed that both strains oxidised the alkali-lignin regardless of its initial degree of oxidation. 相似文献

Alkylphenyl sulfones 3 are appropriate synthons for the synthesis of 2‐phenylsulfonyl alkylidene pyrro‐lidine or piperidine derivatives 1 in good to moderate yields. The lithium alkyl sulfones 4 are first reacted with the desired protected lactams and then subjected to acidic methanolysis to afford the unusual enam‐ines 1a‐e . NMR studies (COSY 1H‐1H, COSY 1H‐13C, NOE) showed the Z enamines to exist in a dynamic equilibrium with the corresponding imines 2 . Seven 2‐amino‐4‐aryl‐1,3‐thiazoles ( 1a–g ) and their corresponding 2‐aminoacetyl ( 2a–g ) and 2‐aminoacetyl‐5‐bromo ( 3a–g ) derivatives were synthesized and tested in vitro against 11 reference strains, three Gram‐positive and four Gram‐negative bacteria, two yeasts, and two moulds. Toxicity of the compounds was also evaluated using the brine shrimp test. Compounds 1a, 1b, 1e–g , and 3b showed moderate antimicrobial activity at different concentrations. The results indicated that acetylation of the amino group and bromination at position 5 of the thiazole moiety cause lost of activity. Compounds 1a, 1e , and 1f showed toxicity to brine shrimp nauplii below 10 ppm. Most other compounds showed moderate toxicity, LD50 above 100 ppm. It is generally assumed that selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) induce antidepressant activity by inhibiting serotonin (5-HT) reuptake transporters, thus elevating synaptic 5-HT levels and, finally, ameliorates depression symptoms. New evidence indicates that SSRIs may also modulate other neurotransmitter systems by inhibiting neuronal nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs), which are recognized as important in mood regulation. There is a clear and strong association between major depression and smoking, where depressed patients smoke twice as much as the normal population. However, SSRIs are not efficient for smoking cessation therapy. In patients with major depressive disorder, there is a lower availability of functional nAChRs, although their amount is not altered, which is possibly caused by higher endogenous ACh levels, which consequently induce nAChR desensitization. Other neurotransmitter systems have also emerged as possible targets for SSRIs. Studies on dorsal raphe nucleus serotoninergic neurons support the concept that SSRI-induced nAChR inhibition decreases the glutamatergic hyperstimulation observed in stress conditions, which compensates the excessive 5-HT overflow in these neurons and, consequently, ameliorates depression symptoms. At the molecular level, SSRIs inhibit different nAChR subtypes by noncompetitive mechanisms, including ion channel blockade and induction of receptor desensitization, whereas α9α10 nAChRs, which are peripherally expressed and not directly involved in depression, are inhibited by competitive mechanisms. According to the functional and structural results, SSRIs bind within the nAChR ion channel at high-affinity sites that are spread out between serine and valine rings. In conclusion, SSRI-induced inhibition of a variety of nAChRs expressed in different neurotransmitter systems widens the complexity by which these antidepressants may act clinically. 相似文献

We present a general method for the linear least-squares solutionof overdetermined and underdetermined systems. The method isparticularly efficient when the coefficient matrix is quasi-square,that is when the number of rows and number of columns is almostthe same. The numerical methods for linear least-squares problemsand minimum-norm solutions do not generally take account ofthis special characteristic. The proposed method is based onLU factorization of the original quasi-square matrix A, assumingthat A has full rank. In the overdetermined case, the LU factorsare used to compute a basis for the null space of AT. The right-handside vector b is then projected onto this subspace and the least-squaressolution is obtained from the solution of this reduced problem.In the case of underdetermined systems, the desired solutionis again obtained through the solution of a reduced system.The use of this method may lead to important savings in computationaltime for both dense and sparse matrices. It is also shown inthe paper that, even in cases where the matrices are quite small,sparse solvers perform better than dense solvers.
