Fluorescence tomography of diffuse media can yield optimal three-dimensional imaging when multiple projections over 360 degrees geometries are captured, compared with limited projection angle systems such as implementations in the slab geometry. We demonstrate how it is possible to perform noncontact, 360 degrees projection fluorescence tomography of mice using CCD-camera-based detection in free space, i.e., in the absence of matching fluids. This approach achieves high spatial sampling of photons propagating through tissue and yields a superior information content data set compared with fiber-based 360 degrees implementations. Reconstruction feasibility using 36 projections in 10 degrees steps is demonstrated in mice. 相似文献

This work is concerned with the algorithmic reachability analysis of continuous-time linear systems with constrained initial states and inputs. We propose an approach for computing an over-approximation of the set of states reachable on a bounded time interval. The main contribution over previous works is that it allows us to consider systems whose sets of initial states and inputs are given by arbitrary compact convex sets represented by their support functions. We actually compute two over-approximations of the reachable set. The first one is given by the union of convex sets with computable support functions. As the representation of convex sets by their support function is not suitable for some tasks, we derive from this first over-approximation a second one given by the union of polyhedrons. The overall computational complexity of our approach is comparable to the complexity of the most competitive available specialized algorithms for reachability analysis of linear systems using zonotopes or ellipsoids. The copper-photocatalyzed borylation of aryl, heteroaryl, vinyl and alkyl halides (I and Br) was reported. The reaction proceeded using a new heteroleptic Cu complex under irradiation with blue LEDs, giving the corresponding boronic-acid esters in good to excellent yields. The reaction was extended to continuous-flow conditions to allow an easy scale-up. The first example of a formal 1,3-B−H bond addition across the M−N≡N unit of an end-on dinitrogen complex has been achieved. The use of Piers’ borane HB(C6F5)2 was essential to observe this reactivity and it plays a triple role in this transformation: 1) electrophilic N2-borylation agent, 2) Lewis acid in a frustrated Lewis pair-type B−H bond activation, and 3) hydride shuttle to the metal center. This chemistry is supported by NMR spectroscopy and solid-state characterization of products and intermediates. The combination of chelate effect and strong σ donation in the diphosphine ligand 1,2-bis(diethylphosphino)ethane was mandatory to avoid phosphine dissociation that otherwise led to complexes where borylation of N2 occurred without hydride transfer. 相似文献

This publication highlights the structure–property relationships in several thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs): one poly(ether-block-amide) and two thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers with ester and ether soft blocks. Structural changes are induced by chemical degradation from virgin samples through hydrolysis and oxidation. Molar mass measurements show an exclusive chain scission mechanism for all TPEs, regardless of the chemical modification condition. Mechanical behavior was nevertheless obtained from uniaxial tensile testing and fracture testing while considering the essential work of fracture (EWF) concept. During the macromolecular scission process, elongation at break shows a plateau followed by a drop, while stress at break decreases steadily. Once again, the trend is identical for all TPEs in all conditions considered. The βwp parameter determined using the EWF concept exhibits an interesting sensitivity to scissions (i.e., molar mas decrease). Plotting elongation at break as a function of molar mass reveals a strong correlation between these two parameters. This master curve is particularly remarkable considering the range of TPEs and chemical breakdown pathways considered (hydrolysis and oxidation at several temperatures). Relevant structure–property relationships are proposed, highlighting that molar mass is a predominant parameter for determining the mechanical properties of thermoplastic elastomers. 相似文献

Cancer stem cells (CSC) constitute a cell subpopulation in solid tumors that is responsible for resistance to conventional chemotherapy, metastasis and cancer relapse. The natural product Salinomycin can selectively target this cell niche by directly interacting with lysosomal iron, taking advantage of upregulated iron homeostasis in CSC. Here, inhibitors of the divalent metal transporter 1 (DMT1) have been identified that selectively target CSC by blocking lysosomal iron translocation. This leads to lysosomal iron accumulation, production of reactive oxygen species and cell death with features of ferroptosis. DMT1 inhibitors selectively target CSC in primary cancer cells and circulating tumor cells, demonstrating the physiological relevance of this strategy. Taken together, this opens up opportunities to tackle unmet needs in anti-cancer therapy. 相似文献

The present study proposes a transient model of the acoustic radiation of axisymmetric structures. The pressure field is approximated by the Rayleigh integral corresponding to a monopole source distribution over the non-planar vibrating surface. The displacement field is expanded on the linear modes of the structure and a change of variables in the Rayleigh integral is then proposed in the case of a monotonic profile function to compute the Spatial Impulse Response associated to each mode of vibration efficiently. The results are compared to the formulation obtained in the case of planar and spherical sources. The method of calculation is then derived in the case of a typical loudspeaker profile (association of a truncated cone with a spherical cap). Finally, the present approach is used to estimate the nonlinear radiation pattern of a prototype loudspeaker and predictions are compared to measurements in anechoic room. 相似文献
