The present study deals with dissipative future universe without big rip in context of Eckart formalism. The generalised Chaplygin gas, characterised by equation of state p=-\fracAr\frac1ap=-\frac{A}{\rho^{\frac{1}{\alpha}}}, has been considered as a model for dark energy due to its dark-energy-like evolution at late time. It is demonstrated that, if the cosmic dark energy behaves like a fluid with equation of state p=ωρ; ω<−1 as well as Chaplygin gas simultaneously then the big rip problem does not arise and the scale factor is found to be regular for all time.  相似文献

The Bianchi type III dark energy model with constant deceleration parameter is investigated. The equation of state parameter ω is found to be time dependent and its existing range for this model is consistent with the recent observations of SN Ia data, SN Ia data (with CMBR anisotropy) and galaxy clustering statistics. Li–Mn–O thin film cathode materials are prepared by high frequency (27.12 MHz) RF magnetron sputtering. The high RF frequency gives higher deposition rates without compromising on the quality of the films. This investigation focuses on the effects of post-annealing on the micro-structural, morphological and electrical properties of Li–Mn–O films. It is observed that with the increase of annealing temperature the crystallinity as well as the electrical conductivity of the films increases. The films annealed at 600–700 °C are found to have high structural perfection and good electrical properties.  相似文献

Cryopreservation of ovarian tissue is a viable alternative to cryopreservation of oocytes and embryos in many species but it has not been studied in fish. Selection of cryoprotectant is an important step in designing cryopreservation protocols. In order to identify the optimum cryoprotectant (CPA) in a suitable concentration for zebrafish ovarian tissue cryopreservation, studies on toxicities of five commonly used cryoprotectants methanol, ethanol, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), ethylene glycol (EG) and propylene glycol (PG) were carried out. Experiments were conducted on ovarian tissue fragments consisting of stage I and stage II ovarian follicles. Ovarian tissue fragments were incubated in 90% L-15 medium (pH 9) containing 1-4M cryoprotectants for 30min at 22°C. Three different tests were used to assess ovarian tissue fragment viability: trypan blue (TB) staining, fluorescein diacetate (FDA) combined with propidium iodide (PI) staining and adenosine 5′- triphosphate (ATP) assay. Results from these tests showed that ATP assay was more sensitive than FDA+PI or TB staining for assessing cryoprotectant toxicity to follicles in tissue fragments. Methanol and ethanol were the least toxic cryoprotectants tested. Cryoprotectant toxicity increased in the order of methanol/ethanol, DMSO, PG and EG. Ethanol was used for zebrafish ovarian tissue for the first time and the results showed that the effect of methanol and ethanol on ovarian tissue fragments were comparable. As methanol has been shown to be the most effective cryoprotectant for zebrafish ovarian follicles in our laboratory, the use of ethanol will also be considered in assisting future freezing protocol design. The present study also showed that stage II ovarian follicles are more sensitive to cryoprotectant treatment than stage I follicles in tissue fragments. The results obtained in this study provided useful information for ovarian tissue fragment cryopreservation protocol design in the future.  相似文献

Objective

To determine the accuracy of magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS), perfusion MR imaging (MRP), or volume modeling in distinguishing tumor progression from radiation injury following radiotherapy for brain metastasis.

Methods

Twenty-six patients with 33 intra-axial metastatic lesions who underwent MRS (n=41) with or without MRP (n=32) after cranial irradiation were retrospectively studied. The final diagnosis was based on histopathology (n=4) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) follow-up with clinical correlation (n=29). Cho/Cr (choline/creatinine), Cho/NAA (choline/N-acetylaspartate), Cho/nCho (choline/contralateral normal brain choline) ratios were retrospectively calculated for the multi-voxel MRS. Relative cerebral blood volume (rCBV), relative peak height (rPH) and percentage of signal-intensity recovery (PSR) were also retrospectively derived for the MRPs. Tumor volumes were determined using manual segmentation method and analyzed using different volume progression modeling. Different ratios or models were tested and plotted on the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC), with their performances quantified as area under the ROC curve (AUC). MRI follow-up time was calculated from the date of initial radiotherapy until the last MRI or the last MRI before surgical diagnosis.

Results

Median MRI follow-up was 16 months (range: 2-33). Thirty percent of lesions (n=10) were determined to be radiation injury; 70% (n=23) were determined to be tumor progression. For the MRS, Cho/nCho had the best performance (AUC of 0.612), and Cho/nCho >1.2 had 33% sensitivity and 100% specificity in predicting tumor progression. For the MRP, rCBV had the best performance (AUC of 0.802), and rCBV >2 had 56% sensitivity and 100% specificity. The best volume model was percent increase (AUC of 0.891); 65% tumor volume increase had 100% sensitivity and 80% specificity.

Conclusion

Cho/nCho of MRS, rCBV of MRP, and percent increase of MRI volume modeling provide the best discrimination of intra-axial metastatic tumor progression from radiation injury for their respective modalities. Cho/nCho and rCBV appear to have high specificities but low sensitivities. In contrast, percent volume increase of 65% can be a highly sensitive and moderately specific predictor for tumor progression after radiotherapy. Future incorporation of 65% volume increase as a pretest selection criterion may compensate for the low sensitivities of MRS and MRP.  相似文献

The effects of change in surface energy and bulk viscoelastic properties on the autohesive tack strength of brominated isobutylene‐cop‐methylstyrene (BIMS) rubber have been investigated by the addition of hydrocarbon resin (HCR) tackifier and maleated hydrocarbon resin (MA‐g‐HCR) tackifier. The addition of compatible HCR tackifier results in a reasonable increment in the tack strength of BIMS rubber by modifying only the bulk viscoelastic properties (compliance, entanglement molecular weight, relaxation time, self‐diffusion, and monomer friction coefficient values) of BIMS rubber to perform better during the course of bonding and debonding steps of the peel test. Incorporation of MA‐g‐HCR tackifier (containing 5–20 wt % of grafted maleic anhydride) steadily increases the tack strength of BIMS rubber further by precisely modifying both the surface energy and bulk viscoelastic properties to perform much better in the bonding and debonding steps. However, beyond 20 wt % of grafted maleic anhydride in the HCR tackifier, the tack strength starts decreasing due to the incompatibility between the blend components, and hence, the bulk viscoelastic properties required for bond formation are severely retarded by the interrelated reinforcing effect and the phase separation effect of the brittle MA‐g‐HCR tackifier in the BIMS rubber. Hence, the polar groups in a tackifier will contribute to significant enhancement of autohesive tack strength only if the bulk viscoelastic property of the rubber‐tackifier blend is favorable for bond formation and bond separation. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In a geometric bottleneck shortest path problem, we are given a set S of n points in the plane, and want to answer queries of the following type: given two points p and q of S and a real number L, compute (or approximate) a shortest path between p and q in the subgraph of the complete graph on S consisting of all edges whose lengths are less than or equal to L. We present efficient algorithms for answering several query problems of this type. Our solutions are based on Euclidean minimum spanning trees, spanners, and the Delaunay triangulation. A result of independent interest is the following. For any two points p and q of S, there is a path between p and q in the Delaunay triangulation, whose length is less than or equal to 2π/(3cos(π/6)) times the Euclidean distance |pq| between p and q, and all of whose edges have length at most |pq|.  相似文献
