A biphenyl privileged structure library containing three attachment points were synthesized using a catechol-based safety-catch linker strategy. The method requires the attachment of a bromo-acid to the linker, followed by a Pd-catalyzed Suzuki cross-coupling reaction. Further derivatization, activation of the linker with strong acid and aminolysis afforded the respective products in high purity and good overall yield. To show the versatility of the synthesis, a 199-member library was generated. The library samples both conformational and chemical diversity about a well-known privileged substructure.  相似文献

Our research involves the development of new cationic materials for anion-based applications. We report the solvothermal synthesis and characterization of Pb(3)F(5)NO(3), a new layered lead fluoride material that, unlike the majority of layered and open-framework materials, is cationic in charge. The structure consists of polyhedral lead centers connected by doubly and triply bridging fluoride groups. We quantitatively exchanged the interlamellar nitrate groups of Pb(3)F(5)NO(3) for dichromate, under ambient aqueous conditions. Nuclear magnetic resonance and UV-vis spectroscopy show the reaction proceeds to 61.0% completion in several days. The material is also stable to 450 degrees C, which is vastly superior to organic resins that are still the standard for anion-exchange. The presence of extraframework anions also opens up other potentially unique anion-based properties, such as new catalytic reactions, anion intercalation, or growth of anionic clusters within the void spaces of the cationic material.  相似文献

Magnesium batteries, like lithium-ion batteries, with higher abundance and similar efficiency, have drawn great interest for large-scale applications such as electric vehicles, grid energy storage and many more. On the other hand, the use of organic electrode materials allows high energy-performance, metal-free, environmentally friendly, versatile, lightweight, and economically efficient magnesium storage devices. In particular, the structural diversity and the simple activity of organic molecules make redox properties, and hence battery efficiency, easy to monitor. While organic magnesium batteries still in their infancy, this field becomes more and more promising because significant results were reported. To summarize the achievements in studies on organic cathodes for magnesium systems, their synthesis is discussed, combined with electrode design to provide the basis for controlling the electrochemical properties. Moreover, the techniques to synthesize organic materials with high-yield are mentioned. Finally, potential problems and prospects are explored to further improve organic cathodes.  相似文献

The aim of the study was to determine the antifungal effects of the essential oil of Thymus broussonetii Boiss (EOT), an endemic plant in Morocco against Candida albicans, Aspergillus fumigatus and the dermatophytes. EOT was extracted by steam distillation. A suspension of up to 500?μL of C. albicans at a concentration of 10??CFU?mL?1 and A. fumigatus at a concentration of 101??spores?mL?1 were inhibited by 20?μL of EOT incorporated in tubes containing 4 mL of Sabouraud broth. In Sabouraud-chloramphenicol agar slants containing different concentrations of essential oil, 5?×?10? A. fumigatus spores were inhibited by 6?μL (0.0015?mL?mL?1) of the EOT. It has shown good anti-C. albicans and anti-A. fumigatus activity. All the dermatophytes tested were inhibited by 3?μL (0.00075?mL?mL?1) of EOT; the latter has the potential to be a good alternative to the conventional antifungal drugs which are usually expensive and with high toxicity.  相似文献

Trigocherrin A, a chlorinated and highly oxygenated daphnane diterpenoid orthoester (DDO), was isolated from the bark of Trigonostemon cherrieri. Trigocherrin A is the first example of a naturally occurring halogenated DDO. Its structure was elucidated by comprehensive analysis of NMR spectroscopic data, and its absolute configuration was determined by comparison of experimental and theoretically calculated ECD spectra. Trigocherrin A exhibited a potent and selective effect against Chikungunya virus in Vero cells.  相似文献

Guanine bases are the most easily oxidized sites in DNA. Electron-deficient guanine species are major intermediates produced in DNA by the direct effect of ionizing radiation (ionization of the DNA itself) because of preferential hole migration within DNA to guanine bases. By using thiocyanate ions to modify the indirect effect (ionization of the solvent), we are able to produce these single-electron-oxidized guanine radical species in dilute aqueous solutions of plasmid DNA where the direct effect is negligible. The guanyl radical species produce stable modified guanine products. They can be detected in the plasmid by converting them to strand breaks after incubation with a DNA repair enzyme. If a phenol is present during irradiation, the yield of modified guanines is decreased. The mechanism is reduction of the guanine radical species by the phenol. It is possible to derive a rate constant for the reaction of the phenol with the guanyl radical. The pH dependence shows that phenolate anions are more reactive than their conjugate acids, although the difference for guanyl radicals is smaller than with other single-electron-oxidizing agents. At physiological pH values, the reduction of a guanyl radical entails the transfer of a proton in addition to the electron. The relatively small dependence of the rate constant on the driving force implies that the electron cannot be transferred before the proton. These results emphasize the potential importance of acidic tyrosine residues and the intimate involvement of protons in DNA repair.  相似文献
