Femtosecond time-resolved pump-probe photoelectron spectroscopy was used to study elementary relaxation processes occurring in isolated phthalocyanine-tetrasulfonate tetra-anions ([MPc(SO3)4]4-, M=Cu,Ni, and "free-base" [H2Pc(SO3)4]4-) following Q band excitation by one-photon absorption at 775 nm. Whereas the Cu and Ni systems decay rapidly by means of internal conversion without electron loss, the free-base phthalocyanine primarily undergoes excited state tunneling electron emission. This reflects less efficient coupling to lower lying states within the corresponding spin manifold. Results are interpreted in terms of (time-dependent) density functional theory calculations of ground and electronically excited states and kinetically modeled to yield the associated rates.  相似文献

A new statistical mechanical model for calculating Kirkwood factors in self-associating molecular liquids and their mixtures with nonassociating components has been developed in a consistent way which is based on an extended version of the Flory-Huggins model taking into account chemical association equilibria. The majority of molecular parameters involved into the theory has been fixed by independent quantum mechanical ab initio calculations of associated molecular clusters. The model is also able to predict other thermodynamic mixture properties such as the enthalpy of mixing and also the infrared absorbance of monomer alcohol species as function of concentration. Experimental results of nine alcohol+cyclohexane mixtures taken from the literature have been used to test the new model. The Kirkwood correlation factor gK, the molar enthalpy of mixing HmE, and the monomer IR absorbance can be described simultaneously in excellent agreement with experimental data covering the whole range of mole fraction including temperature dependence of gK, HmE, and the IR absorbance. Two parameters have been adjusted freely for each system. A third parameter for the nonspecific intermolecular dispersion interactions has been adjusted within a limited range of possible values given by physical arguments. The model opens a new way of a more reliable understanding of structures and equilibrium properties of hydrogen bonded systems in the condensed liquid state.  相似文献

Cytokines are bioactive proteins produced by many different cells of the immune system. Due to their role in different inflammatory disease states and maintaining homeostasis, there is enormous clinical interest in the quantitation of cytokines. The typical standard methods for quantitation of cytokines are immunoassay-based techniques including enzyme-linked immusorbent assays (ELISA) and bead-based immunoassays read by either standard or modified flow cytometers. A review of recent developments in analytical methods for measurements of cytokine proteins is provided. This review briefly covers cytokine biology and the analysis challenges associated with measurement of these biomarker proteins for understanding both health and disease. New techniques applied to immunoassay-based assays are presented along with the uses of aptamers, electrochemistry, mass spectrometry, optical resonator-based methods. Methods used for elucidating the release of cytokines from single cells as well as in vivo collection methods are described.  相似文献

We here exploit pH-responsive nanogels as carriers to deliver functional anti-GFP siRNA and superparamagnetic IONPs to HeLa-GFP cells. The siRNA release via pH-mediated endosomal escape is shown. The IONPs act first as magnetofection agents to boost cellular uptake and then as probes to track the release mechanism by electron microscopy.  相似文献

Nanocomposites derived from poly(lactic acid) (PLA) and organically modified montmorillonite (oMMT) have been cross-linked by high-energy electrons in the presence of triallyl cyanurate (TAC). The morphology of untreated and cross-linked PLA/MMT nanocomposites was characterized by wide-angle X-ray scattering (WAXS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). This treatment can improve both the thermal stability and the glass-transition temperatures of the PLA nanocomposites (e.g., PLA-MMT-TAC 30kGy, 50kGy, and 70kGy) because of the formation of cross-linking structures in the nanocomposites that will considerably reduce the mobility of polymers. Interestingly, at relatively low irradiation doses (e.g., 30 and 50 kGy) a good balance between tensile strength and elongation at break for the PLA nanocomposites could be achieved. These mechanical properties are superior to those of pure PLA. Therefore, combining nanotechnology and electron beam cross-linking is a promising new method of simultaneously improving the mechanical properties (toughness and tensile strength) and thermal stability of PLA.  相似文献

The reaction of the cycloheptatrienylzirconium half-sandwich complex [(η(7)-C(7)H(7))ZrCl(tmeda)] (1) (tmeda = N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine) with Li(Im(Dipp)N), generated from bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazolin-2-imine (Im(Dipp)NH) with methyllithium, yields the imidazolin-2-iminato complex [(η(7)-C(7)H(7))Zr(Im(Dipp)N)(tmeda)] (2). The corresponding tmeda-free complex [(η(7)-C(7)H(7))Zr(Im(Dipp)N)] (5) can be synthesized via the 1,3-bis(trimethylsilyl)allyl complex [(η(7)-C(7)H(7))Zr{η(3)-C(3)H(3)(TMS)(2)}(THF)] (3; TMS = SiMe(3)), which undergoes an acid-base reaction with Im(Dipp)NH to form 5 and 1,3-bis(trimethylsilyl)propene. 5 exhibits an unusual one-legged piano stool ("pogo stick") geometry with a particularly short Zr-N bond of 1.997(2) ?. Addition of 2,6-dimethylphenyl or tert-butyl isocyanide affords the complexes [(η(7)-C(7)H(7))Zr(Im(Dipp)N)(CNR)] (R = o-Xy, 6; R = t-Bu, 7), while the reaction with 2,6-dimethylphenyl isocyanate results in a [2 + 2] cycloaddition to form the ureato(1-) complex [(η(7)-C(7)H(7))Zr{Im(Dipp)N(C═O)N-o-Xy}] (8). 5 can also act as an initiator for the ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone. These reactivity patterns together with density functional theory calculations reveal a marked similarity of the bonding in imidazolin-2-iminato and conventional imido transition-metal complexes.  相似文献

The mechanism of titanocene mediated 3-exo cyclizations was investigated by a combined theoretical and experimental study. A gradient corrected density functional theory (DFT) method has been scaled against titanocene dichloride, the parent butenyl radical, and in bond dissociation energy (BDE) calculations. The BP86 method using density fitting, and a basis set of triple-zeta quality emerged as a highly reliable tool for studying titanocene mediated radical reactions. The computational results revealed important kinetic and thermodynamic features of cyclopropane formation. Surprisingly, the beta-titanoxy radicals, the first intermediates of our investigations, were demonstrated to possess essentially the same thermodynamic stabilization as the corresponding alkyl radicals by comparison of the calculated BDEs. In contrast to suggestions for samarium mediated reactions, the cyclization was shown to be thermodynamically favorable in agreement with earlier kinetic studies. It was established that stereoselectivity of the cyclization is governed by the stability of the intermediates and thus the trans disubstituted products are formed preferentially. The observed ratios of products are in good to excellent agreement with the DFT results. By a combination of computational and experimental results, it was also shown that for the completion of the overall cyclopropane formation the efficiency of the trapping of the cyclopropylcarbinyl radicals is decisive.  相似文献

The concepts of atoms and bonds in molecules which appeared in chemistry during the nineteenth century are unavoidable to explain the structure and the reactivity of the matter at a chemical level of understanding. Although they can be criticized from a strict reductionist point of view, because neither atoms nor bonds are observable in the sense of quantum mechanics, the topological and statistical interpretative approaches of quantum chemistry (quantum theory of atoms in molecules, electron localization function and maximum probability domain) provide consistent definitions which accommodate chemistry and quantum mechanics.  相似文献

Asymmetric trans-bioreduction of activated alkenes by KYE1 from Kluyveromyces lactis and Yers-ER from Yersinia bercovieri, two ene-reductases from the Old Yellow Enzyme family, showed a broad substrate spectrum with a moderate to excellent degree of stereoselectivity. Both substrate- and enzyme-based stereocontrols were observed to furnish opposite stereoisomeric products. The effects of organic solvents on enzyme activity and stereoselectivity were outlined in this study, where two-phase systems hexane and toluene are shown to sustain bioreduction efficiency even at high organic solvent content.  相似文献
