The morphology of liquid droplets wetting on filaments depends on the filament configuration, droplet volume, and contact angle. A stable morphology is the one that minimizes the potential energy of the droplet–filament system, while morphology transition may happen when an intermediate state exists which corresponds to a higher potential energy. This paper aims to explore such morphology transition of droplet wetting on filament rails made of two parallel identical microfilaments. Detailed numerical simulations were performed to extract the surface energy of the droplet–filament system at varying filament spacings, droplet volumes, and contact angles. Critical conditions of the morphology transition between two symmetrical wetting morphologies (i.e., liquid droplet bridge and barrel-shaped droplet) were determined. A family of characteristic curves in terms of the dimensionless droplet volume vs the filament spacing at varying contact angles was obtained, which can be used as a universal law to govern the morphology transition for such droplet–filament rail systems. The results and concepts presented in this work can be extended to broad wetting systems and utilized for the analysis and design of microfluidic devices and testers based on droplet–filament systems.  相似文献

We compute the Bass stable rank and the topological stable rank of several convolution Banach algebras of complex measures on (-∞,∞) or on [0,∞) consisting of a discrete measure and/or of an absolutely continuous measure. We also compute the stable ranks of the convolution algebras \({\ell^1(\mathbb {N}^n)}\) , \({\ell^1(\mathbb {Z}^n)}\) , ?1(S) and \({\ell^1(S\cap\mathbb {R}_+)}\) , where S is an arbitrary subgroup of \({\mathbb {R}}\) , of the almost periodic algebra AP and of \({{{\rm AP} \cap H^{\infty}}}\) , etc. We answer affirmatively the question posed by Mortini (Studia Mathematica 103(3):275–281, 1992). For the above algebras, the polydisc algebra \({A(\mathbb {D}^n)}\) , the algebra \({C(\mathbb T^n)}\) of continuous functions, and others, we also study their subsets (real Banach algebras) of real-valued measures, real-valued sequences or real-symmetric functions, and of corresponding exponentially stable algebras (for example, the Callier–Desoer algebra of causal exponentially decaying measures and L1 functions), and we compute their stable ranks. Finally, we show that in some of these real algebras a variant of the parity interlacing property is equivalent to reducibility of a unimodular (or coprime) pair. Also corona theorems are presented and the existence of coprime fractions is studied; in particular, we list which of these algebras are Bézout domains.  相似文献

Two pyridine-based ligands (N-((pyridin-2-yl) methyl) pyridin-2-amine) L1 and (N-((pyridin-2-yl) methylene) pyridin-2-amine) L2 are explored in present work which are inexpensive, effective and environmentally benign in their properties. These have been utilized for C-N cross coupling reaction resulting in N-arylation. The N-arylation of indole, imidazole and triazole have been successfully carried out with different aryl and heteroaryl halides using these ligands.  相似文献

A green, efficient, and rapid procedure for the synthesis of novel spiro[chromeno[4′,3′:4,5] pyrimido[1,2-b]indazole-7,3′-indoline]-2′,6(9 H)-dione derivatives has been developed by one-pot condensation of 4-hydroxy-2H-chromen-2-one, isatin, and 1H-indazole-3-amine, in the presence of acetic acid in EtOH. This method has the advantages of operational simplicity, and high yield of products via a simple experimental and work-up procedure as compared to the conventional methods.
