Cobalt(III) complex [CoL3], where L=(5‐bromo‐2‐hydroxybenzyl‐2‐furylmethyl)imine, has been synthesized by reacting cobalt(II) nitrate with L. The complex has been characterized by elemental analysis and FT‐IR spectroscopy. The crystal structure of [CoL3] was determined by X‐ray crystallography from single crystal data. It crystallizes in the triclinic space group$ P {\bar 1} $ with unit cell parameters:a=9.6644(10) Å,b=11.5657(11) Å,c=16.5809(17) Å,α=102.833(4)°,β=102.999(3)°,γ=105.480(3)°,V=1659.9(3) Å3andZ=2. Thermal decomposition of [CoL3] was studied by thermogravimetry in order to evaluate its thermal stability and thermal decomposition pathways.  相似文献

Abstract  

New Schiff base compound bis[(2,3,4-trimethoxy-benzylidenepropylideneamino)phenyl]-ether (1) was synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses (CHN), FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The title compound 1 crystallizes in triclinic system, space group P-1, with a = 6.8255(4) Å, b = 10.4346(4) Å, c = 19.4166(8) Å, α = 86.588(3)°, β = 85.019(4)°, γ = 89.042(4)°, V = 1375.12(11) Å3 and Z = 2. By reaction of 5‐(chloromethyl)salicylaldehyde with triphenylphosphine and N‐methylimidazole in two separate reactions, salicylaldehydetriphenylphosphonium chloride (S2) and salicylaldehydemethylimidazolinium chloride (S3) were prepared. Reaction of 2‐(aminomethyl)pyridine with these aldehydes resulted in the task‐specific ionic liquid Schiff base ligands L1 and L2, respectively. Then six‐coordinated vanadium(IV) Schiff base complexes of VO(acac)L1–4 were synthesized by reactions of these tridentate Schiff base ligands and VO(acac)2 in 1:1 stoichiometry. The aldehydes, ligands and VO(acac)L1–4 complexes were characterized using infrared, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 31P NMR, UV–visible and mass spectroscopies, as well as elemental analysis. Paramagnetic property of the complexes was also studied using magnetic susceptibility measurements. The complexes were used as catalysts in epoxidation of cyclooctene and oxidation of methylphenyl sulfide and the reaction parameters were optimized. The effect of the ionic nature of the complexes was investigated in these oxidation reactions. The catalytic activity of the complexes could be varied by changing the ionic (cationic or anionic) character of VO(acac)L1–4 catalysts in which counter anion variation showed a greater effect than cationic moiety variation.  相似文献

The performance of a two-auxiliary-parameter homotopy analysis method (HAM) is investigated in solving laminar MHD flow of an upper-convected Maxwell fluid (UCM) above a porous isothermal stretching sheet. The analysis is carried out up to the 20th-order of approximation, and the effect of parameters such as elasticity number, suction/injection velocity, and magnetic number are studied on the velocity field above the sheet. The results will be contrasted with those reported recently by Hayat et al. [Hayat T, Abbas Z, Sajid M. Series solution for the upper-convected Maxwell fluid over a porous stretching plate. Phys Lett A 358;2006:396–403] obtained using a third-order one-auxiliary-parameter homotopy analysis method. It is concluded that the flow reversal phenomenon as predicted by Hayat et al. (2006) may have arisen because of the inadequacies of using just one-auxiliary-parameter in their analysis. That is, no flow reversal is predicted to occur if instead of using one-auxiliary-parameter use is made of two auxiliary parameters together with a more convenient set of base functions to assure the convergence of the series used to solve the highly nonlinear ODE governing the flow.  相似文献

A mononuclear copper(I) complex, [Cu(ca2dapte)]ClO4 (1), and two dinuclear copper(I) complexes, [{Cu(PPh3)(X)}2(ca2dapte)] (X = I (2) and Br (3)), of a new tetradentate N2S2 donor Schiff-base ligand ca2dapte have been prepared (ca2dapte = N,N′-bis(trans-cinnamaldehyde)-1,2-di(o-iminophenylthio)ethane). These compounds have been characterized by elemental analyses (CHN), FT-IR, UV–Vis and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The crystal structures of these copper(I) complexes have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The coordination geometry around Cu(I) centers in these complexes is a distorted tetrahedron. The ca2dapte is coordinated to Cu(I) as a tetradentate ligand in 1, while it acts as a bis-bidentate bridging ligand in 2 and 3.  相似文献

A novel method for the rapid extraction and determination of a ppt level of Pb2+ and Cu2+ ions using partial silylated MCM-41 modified by a new salophen and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) is introduced. The preconcentration factor of the method is 500, and the detection limits of Pb2+ and Cu2+ are 335 and 34 ng L(-1), respectively. The time and efficiency of extraction, the pH and flow rate, the type and minimum amount of acid for stripping of Pb2+ and Cu2+ from modified MCM-41 and the break-through volume were investigated. The maximum capacity of 4 mg of silylated MCM-41 modified by salophen used was found to be 150 +/- 4 and 117 +/- 3 microg of Pb2+ and Cu2+, respectively.  相似文献

In this study, heat transfer and entropy generation were investigated in a microchannel containing FMWNT/water nanofluids given the slip condition. The main focus was on utilizing injection technique in the presence of the magnetic field. The injection from the upper high-temperature wall was incorporated into the flow field. Injection at high Reynolds number causes vortex formation, which ultimately reduces local heat transfer in the adjacent injection zone. By applying the magnetic field, the vortex intensity as well as boundary layer thickness was diminished which in turn improved the heat transfer. Based on numerical results, at higher nanoparticle volume fraction, the effect of the magnetic field on heat transfer enhancement was amplified. Moreover, at higher Reynolds numbers, the magnetic field efficacy is more obvious. The highest heat transfer occurred at the highest values of the Hartmann and Reynolds numbers and eventually the nanoparticle volume fraction. Owing to applying the magnetic field on the injectable microchannel containing nanofluid, heat transfer improvement can reach up to 79%. From the second law prospective, the entropy generation intensified by 82.8%.

New asymmetric bidentate Schiff-base ligand (5-bromo-2-hydroxybenzyl-2-furylmethyl)imine, (HL), and its nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes with the general composition ML2 [M = Ni (1) and Cu (2)], were prepared. The ligand and the metal complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, and UV–Vis spectroscopy. In addition, 1H-NMR and X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) were employed for characterization of ligand and metal complexes, respectively. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) of the ligand and metal complexes revealed the thermal stability and decomposition pattern of the species.  相似文献
