Summary Nickel(II) complexes of four tridentate NNS Schiff base ligands, derived by condensing 2-acetyl-and 2-benzoylpyridine with S-methyl- and S-benzoyldithiocarbazate, have been prepared and characterized. The monoligated complexes, [Ni(NNS)X] (NNS = anionic ligand; X = Cl, Br, NCS, I) are diamagnetic and square-planar, whereas the bis-ligand complexes, [Ni(NNS)2] are paramagnetic and tetragonal. The Schiff bases are fungitoxic towards A. solani, F. equisetti and M. phaseolina (approaching the toxicity of the commercial fungicide Nystatin), but the nickel(II) complexes are less fungitoxic than the free ligands. 相似文献

Adsorption of acid blue 1 from aqueous solution onto carbonaceous substrate produced from the wood of Paulownia tomentosa was investigated. The samples characterized by FTIR, SEM, EDS and XRD techniques, indicated that the surface functional groups like carboxyl, lactones or phenols and ethers have disappeared at high activation temperature (800 ℃) and as a result porous structure was developed that has a positive effect on the adsorption capacity. Bangham and parabolic diffusion models were applied to the kinetic adsorption data, which show that the adsorption of acid blue 1 was a diffusion controlled process. The reaction rate increased with the increase in temperatures of both the adsorption and activation. Thermodynamic parameters like △E^≠, △H^≠, △S^≠ and △G^≠ were calculated from the kinetic data. The negative values of △S^≠ reflected the decrease in the disorder of the system at the solid-solution interface during adsorption. Gibbs free energy (△G^≠), representing the driving force for the affinity of dye for the carbon surface, increased with the increase in sample activation and the adsorption temperatures. 相似文献

Abstract— Several mutations in the repellent phototaxis receptor sensory rhodopsin II (SRII), in residues homologous to residues important in the related proton pump bacteriorhodopsin, were expressed in Pho81Wr– , a Halobacterium salinarum strain deficient in production of SRII and its transducer protein HtrII. The lack of production of SRII and HtrII is shown to be due to insertion of an ISH2 transposon into the promoter region upstream of the htrII - sopH gene pair. Near wild-type phototaxis responses are rescued in Pho81Wr– by expression of HtrII with D73E, D103N or V106M receptors. Partial responses are restored by the HtrII-D73N pair. From absorption spectroscopy of his-tag-purified receptor protein from mutants D73N and D73E we conclude that Asp73 is the primary counterion to the protonated Schiff base in SRII, like the corresponding Asp85 in bacteriorhodopsin. The absorption maximum of SRII (487 nm) is shifted to 514 nm in mutant D73N, a 1080 cm−1 shift identical to that caused by D85N in bacteriorhodopsin. Acid titration of SRII also induces the red shift with a pK of 3.0 in wild type. The absorption shift and the pK are nearly the same in V106M and D103N, but the pK is raised to 5.1 in D73E, confirming that Asp73 is the residue responsible for this spectral transition. 相似文献

concentrations of the natural radionuclides, radium equivalent activities, emanation coefficients and222Rn mass exhalation rates are compared with the corresponding values for building and ceramic materials of different countries.
The radium equivalent activities in the samples varied between 30.9 (mosaic stone) and 328.0 Bq·kg−1 (gypsum). The emanation coefficient of the materials ranged from 7.83 (cement) to 33.0% (soil) and the222Rn mass exhalation rate ranged from 2.31 (stone chips) to 118.0 μBq·kg−1·s−1 (gypsum). 相似文献

This report investigates the structural aspects of the products isolated from the reactions of a series of titanium alkoxides [[Ti(OR)4]n n = 2, OR = OCH2C(CH3)3 (ONep) (1); n = 1, OC6H3(CH3)2-2,6 (DMP) (2)] with rubidium alkoxides [[Rb(OR)]infinity where OR = (ONep) (3), (DMP) (4), and OC6H3(CH(CH3)2)2-2,6 (DIP) (5)]. The resultant double alkoxides were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction to be [Rb(mu-ONep)4(py)Ti(ONep)]2 (6), [Rb(mu-DMP)Ti(DMP)4]infinity (7), and [Rb(mu-DMP)2(mu-ONep)2Ti(ONep)]infinity (8). Compound 1 is the previously reported dinculear species with trigonal bipyramidal Ti metal centers whereas compound 2 is a monomer with a tetrahedral Ti center. Suitable X-ray quality crystals of 3 were not isolated. Compounds 4 and 5 demonstrate extended polymeric networks with Rb coordination ranging from two to five utilizing terminal mu- and mu3-OR ligands and pi-interactions of neighboring OAr ligands. The double alkoxide 6 revealed a simple tetranuclear structure with mu-ONep acting as the bridge, terminal ONep ligands on the Ti, and one terminal py on the Rb. For 7 and 8, the pi-interaction facilitated the formation of extended polymeric systems. All complexes were further characterized by FT-IR and multinuclear NMR spectroscopy. 相似文献

Brilliant blue R adsorption from aqueous solution on activated carbon produced from corncob waste was investigated. The carbon samples were characterized by XRD, SEM, EDS and FTIR methods. The surface functional groups (carboxyl, lactone or phenol, ether, hydroxyl) disappeared at high activation temperature, resulting in a high amount of carbon with respect to oxygen. The kinetic studies of the adsorption of brilliant blue R on carbon at 10 and 45 °C showed that the first order and intraparticle diffusion models apply to the data. The reaction rate increased with the increase in temperature of adsorption/activation. Thermodynamic parameters like ΔE#, ΔH# and ΔS# for adsorption were calculated from the kinetic data. The positive value of ΔH# shows the endothermic nature of adsorption which decreased with the increase in adsorption/activation temperature. The negative values of ΔS# reflect a decrease in the disorder of the system at the solid‐solution interface during adsorption. Equilibrium studies showed that the data fits the Langmuir model. 相似文献

A series of sterically varied aryl alcohols H-OAr [OAr = OC6H5 (OPh), OC6H4(2-Me) (oMP), OC6H3(2,6-(Me))2 (DMP), OC6H4(2-Pr(i)) (oPP), OC6H3(2,6-(Pr(i)))2 (DIP), OC6H4(2-Bu(t)) (oBP), OC6H3(2,6-(Bu(t)))2 (DBP); Me = CH3, Pr(i) = CHMe2, and Bu(t) = CMe3] were reacted with LiN(SiMe3)2 in a Lewis basic solvent [tetrahydrofuran (THF) or pyridine (py)] to generate the appropriate "Li(OAr)(solv)x". In the presence of THF, the OPh derivative was previously identified as the hexagonal prismatic complex [Li(OPh)(THF)]6; however, the structure isolated from the above route proved to be the tetranuclear species [Li(OPh)(THF)]4 (1). The other "Li(OAr)(THF)x" products isolated were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction as [Li(OAr)(THF)]4 [OAr = oMP (2), DMP (3), oPP (4)], [Li(DIP)(THF)]3 (5), [Li(oBP)(THF)2]2, (6), and [Li(DBP)(THF)]2, (7). The tetranuclear species (1-4) consist of symmetric cubes of alternating tetrahedral Li and pyramidal O atoms, with terminal THF solvent molecules bound to each metal center. The trinuclear species 5 consists of a six-membered ring of alternating trigonal planar Li and bridging O atoms, with one THF solvent molecule bound to each metal center. Compound 6 possesses two Li atoms that adopt tetrahedral geometries involving two bridging oBP and two terminal THF ligands. The structure of 7 was identical to the previously reported [Li(DBP)(THF)]2 species, but different unit cell parameters were observed. Compound 7 varies from 6 in that only one solvent molecule is bound to each Li metal center of 7 because of the steric bulk of the DBP ligand. In contrast to the structurally diverse THF adducts, when py was used as the solvent, the appropriate "Li(OAr)(py)x" complexes were isolated as [Li(OAr)(py)2]2 (OAr = OPh (8), oMP (9), DMP (10), oPP (11), DIP (12), oBP (13)) and [Li(DBP)(py)]2 (14). Compounds 8-13 adopt a dinuclear, edge-shared tetrahedral complex. For 14, because of the steric crowding of the DBP ligand, only one py is coordinated, yielding a dinuclear fused trigonal planar arrangement. Two additional structure types were also characterized for the DIP ligand: [Li(DIP)(H-DIP)(py)]2 (12b) and [Li2(DIP)2(py)3] (12c). Multinuclear (6,7Li and 13C) solid-state MAS NMR spectroscopic studies indicate that the bulk powder possesses several Li environments for "transitional ligands" of the THF complexes; however, the py adducts possess only one Li environment, which is consistent with the solid-state structures. Solution NMR studies indicate that "transitional" compounds of the THF precursors display multiple species in solution whereas the py adducts display only one lithium environment. 相似文献

Two new procedures were employed for studying the reaction of hydrogen atoms with hydrogen peroxide. The absorption in the UV-range was observed either for an acidic aqueous solution containing only hydrogen peroxide or for a similar solution but also containing an aliphatic alcohol. From the increase in absorption of various alcohol radicals, a rate constant of 3.5×107 dm3 mol−1 s−1 was determined. In addition, the rate constant for the reaction of hydroxyl radicals with hydrogen peroxide was determined to be 3.0×107 dm3 mol−1 s−1. 相似文献
