The non-specific loss of protein analytes can have a major effect on assay results particularly where the concentrations of such analytes are extremely low and the matrix is complex. This report assesses how the protein incubated in sample tubes may be lost due to adsorption. Use of proteins, such as bovine serum albumin (BSA), may be used to pre-treat tubes to reduce such losses. However, such losses may also be associated with structural perturbations leading to changes in immunogenicity (as a result of alterations in specific epitope-related conformations). This can lead to erroneous results or lack of comparability with a range of methodologies such as the bicinchoninic protein assay and immunoassays or when surface plasmon resonance (SPR)-based approaches are used. Micro-sized copper powder has been compacted using explosives of various detonation velocities. Corresponding crystallographic and morphological characteristics along with particle size variation have also been compared. Cylindrical configuration has been used for the shock consolidation of metal powder. It has been observed that using an explosive mixture of detonation velocity 4.2?km/s, the crystallite and micro-structure of the compacts remains the same with intact dendritic structure accompanied by a small variation in particle sizes. A good order of micro-hardness (88?±?4) Hv and density of ~94% of the theoretical value has been observed with lesser melting compared to the compacts obtained using explosive mixture with a high detonation velocity. 相似文献

In this paper, an all-optical parity checker and parity generator circuit is proposed in which SOA-MZI configuration is used to implement the XOR logic gate. This performance monitoring logic device is simulated at ultra high speed i.e. 120 GHz. Two logic circuits are proposed for parity generator, in one design inverter used to generate parity bit is implemented by the same additional XOR gate as inverter while in 2nd design inverter is implemented using XGM in SOA and thus number of SOA in 2nd design is reduced. ER ratio achieved in 1st case is 9.28 with maximum Q factor 73.39 and minimum BER 0 while in 2nd design it is 9.35 with maximum Q factor 8.41 and minimum BER 1.93e−17. Thermally evaporated patterned films of the lipid, octadecylamine (ODA), have been used in the immobilization of the hydrocarbon-degrading cells, Yarrowia lipolytica. The immobilization of the yeast cells occurs on hydrophobic surfaces presented by the lipid film elements in the patterned structure, the attachment of the cells to the lipid film occurring possibly through hydrophobic interactions between the hydrocarbon chains of the fatty amine film and the cell wall of the yeasts. It is observed that the cell immobilization is extremely faithful to the underlying lipid template indicating potential use in tissue engineering as well as materials applications involving specific enzyme-based biotransformations. 相似文献
