A memory type PDLC has been prepared by sandwiching a mixture of two-frequency-addressing liquid crystals and acrylate monomers with a hydoroxy group between two glass substrates with ITO electrodes followed by UV irradiation. Well-dispersed, uniform monometallic Pt and bimetallic Pt–Cu, and Pt–Ag nanoparticles protected with PVP have been synthesized
by a modified-protocol alkaline polyol method. The nanoparticles were characterized by various methods (TEM, XPS, and XRD)
to elucidate the relationship between morphology and preparation variables. The average of monodispersed nanoparticles ranged
between 4.1 and 4.9 nm. Core–shell structure was obtained in the case of bimetallic nanoparticles. The core of bimetallic
nanoparticles was found to be rich in platinum, whereas the shell contained mostly copper or silver. The final structure of
bimetallic nanoparticles was found to be determined by the morphology particles resulted in the first reduction step. Explanations

Nylon 6–clay hybrid is a molecular composite of nylon 6 and uniformly dispersed silicate layers of montmorillonite. One-pot synthesis of the hybrid was carried out by the following procedures. Montmorillonite was dispersed in water, and then ε-caprolactam, acid (phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid, benzenesulfonic acid, isophthalic acid, trichloroacetic acid, or acetic acid), and 6-aminocaproic acid were added to the dispersion. The mixtures were reacted at 260°C for 6 h, yielding the nylon 6–clay hybrids (1potNCHs). X-ray diffraction revealed that the silicate layers of 1potNCH by phosphoric acid were uniformly dispersed in the nylon 6 matrix. The 1potNCH had excellent mechanical properties. The strength and the modulus of the hybrid increased compared with previously reported nylon 6–clay hybrid (NCH) synthesized by montmorillonite intercalated with 12-aminolauric acid. The heat distortion temperature (HDT) of the 1potNCH was 160°C, which was 8°C higher than that of NCH. In other 1potNCHs, montmorillonite had a smaller effect on the increase of those properties, and interlayer spacing of montmorillonite was observed at ca. 20 Å. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 相似文献

nucleus was produced in such a swollen conidium. Benomyl treatment of swollen conidia generated multiple smaller nuclei from
one larger autopolyploid nucleus. Those smaller nuclei were transported through conidia to mycelia after germination. This

The binding of a lophine-based fluorescence probe, 4-[4-(4-dimethylaminophenyl)-5-phenyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl]benzoic acid methyl ester (DAPIM) with human serum albumin (HSA) was investigated by fluorescence spectroscopy under physiological conditions. While DAPIM shows extreme low fluorescence in aqueous solution, DAPIM binding with HSA emits strong fluorescence at 510 nm. The binding constant and binding number determined by Scatchard plot was 3.65 × 106 M−1 and 1.07, respectively. Competitive binding between DAPIM and other ligands such as warfarin, valproic acid, diazepam and oleic acid, were also studied fluorometrically. The results indicated that the primary binding site of DAPIM to HSA is site II at subdomain IIIA. DAPIM can be a useful fluorescence probe for the characterization of drug-binding sites. In addition to the interaction study, because the fluorescence intensity of DAPIM increased in proportion to HSA concentration, its potential in HSA assay for serum sample was also evaluated. 相似文献
