First-principles calculations are performed to compute the e33 piezoelectric coefficients of GaN, ScN and (ScxGa1-xN) alloys exhibiting an alternation of hexagonal GaN, with hexagonal ScN along the c-axis. For Sc compositions larger than 50%, each atom has nearly five nearest neighbors (i.e., the ground state exhibits a phase that is five-fold coordinated). On the other hand, Sc-deficient (Sc, Ga) N alloys adopt a ground-state that is four-fold coordinated). The magnitude of e33 in the Sc-deficient ideally ordered (Sc0.25Ga0.75N) is found to be larger than the magnitude of the corresponding e33 coefficients resulting from the compositional weighted average over the hexagonal (h-ScN) and the wurtzite (w-GaN) parent compounds. On the other hand, the e33 coefficients of the Sc-rich ordered (Sc0.75Ga0.25N) is found to be negligibly small. In addition, e33 piezoelectric coefficients in ordered (Sc0.5Ga0.5N) exhibit quite large magnitudes, due to the nonpolar to polar transition occurs at Sc composition x = 0.5, and thus can bridge the corresponding coefficients of (Ga, In) N and ferroelectric alloys. The microscopic origins for this huge enhancement in the piezoelectric behavior in Sc-low and Sc-intermediate alloys and the role of each atom are revealed and discussed.  相似文献

Novel biopolymer electrolytes based on carboxymethyl kappa-carrageenan (CM?-carrageenan) and ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([Bmim]Cl) have been successfully developed. Strong coordination and hydrogen bonding interaction of [Bmim]Cl with the biopolymer were detected by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The efficient function of [Bmim]Cl as the charge carrier in the system was reflected by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) where the highest ionic conductivity (σ) of (5.76 ± 0.20) × 10?3 S cm?1 was achieved at ambient temperature (298 K) upon 30 wt.% of [Bmim]Cl inclusion. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirmed that the addition of ionic liquid did not alter the prominent amorphous phase of CM?-carrageenan. Analysis of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) proved the strong interaction of [Bmim]Cl with the biopolymer matrix. The highest conducting biopolymer electrolyte showed an electrochemical stability up to 3.0 V, whereas the transference number measurement revealed that ions are the major elements that contribute to the conductivity with 0.970 ion transference number.  相似文献

We previously showed that infrared thermography (IRT) could be used to quantify viable Escherichiacoli, a representative gram-negative bacterium, in liquid growth media. Here, we evaluated the ability of IRT to enumerate a viable representative gram-positive organism, Staphylococcusaureus. We found that the energy content (EC) of the media was strongly positively correlated (r = 0.999) to measured viable counts of S.aureus ranging from 85 colony-forming units (CFU)/ml to ∼4 × 108 CFU/ml. The EC of S.aureus was ∼2-fold higher than that of E.coli at comparable cell concentrations suggesting that IRT may be used to distinguish genera.  相似文献

A novel and efficient method has been developed for the one-pot synthesis of bifunctional diazepine-tetrazole containing compounds. 1H-Tetrazolyl-1H-1,4-diazepine-2, 3-dicarbonitrile and 1H-tetrazolyl-benzo[b][1,4]diazepine derivatives were synthesized in good yields using 2,3-diaminomaleonitrile or an aromatic diamine, ketones, trimethylsilyl azide, and an isocyanide in the presence of p-toluenesulfonic acid as a catalyst in methanol at room temperature.  相似文献

A simple high-resolution refractive index (RI) and phase sensor has been demonstrated and the results numerically verified. A free space gap is employed in one arm of a Mach–Zehnder interferometer (MZI) to serve as the sensing mechanism with a physical spacing of 1.4 mm. The propagation constant of transmitted light in the MZI’s gap changes due to the small variation in the ambient RI that will further shift the optical phase of the signal. A free space optical delay line is embedded within the MZI’s other arm to set the phase reference point and compensate for variations in the optical phase difference. The ambient RI is computed by measuring the phase shift in the transmission spectrum A high-resolution sensing of 0.8 pm/%RH corresponds to phase change of 0.012°/%RH has been achieved in 1520 nm.  相似文献

With an appropriate combination of three Liouville-type dilaton potentials, we construct a new class of spinning magnetic dilaton string solutions which produces a longitudinal magnetic field in the background of anti-de Sitter spacetime. These solutions have no curvature singularity and no horizon, but have a conic geometry. We find that the spinning string has a net electric charge which is proportional to the rotation parameter. We present the suitable counterterm which removes the divergences of the action in the presence of dilaton potential. We also calculate the conserved quantities of the solutions by using the counterterm method.  相似文献

Multi-wavelength Brillouin fiber laser generation using dual-pass approach   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
A simple and compact multi-wavelength tunable Brillouin fiber laser (BFL) in conjunction with dual-pass approach is proposed and experimentally compared with the output of a conventional single ring cavity architecture. This BFL source is demonstrated using 10 km long non-zero dispersion shifted fiber (NZ-DSF) as a Brillouin gain medium. By single ring cavity configuration, odd-order Brillouin Stokes lines appear in the backward direction with the line spacing 0.16 nm (∼20 GHz) between each two consecutive waves. However, this single ring cavity in conjunction with dual-pass configuration is able to generate Brillouin Stokes lines with 0.08 nm spacing by providing bi-directional oscillations of Brillouin waves in both forward and backward directions. With a Brillouin pump power of 15.3 dBm, approximately up to 17 Brillouin Stokes lines are generated which is tunable over 40 nm tuning range.  相似文献

Performance optimization of 3 × 10 Gbps conventional electrical-duty-cycle division multiplexing (C-E-DCDM) technique is investigated. It is shown that controlling signal level spacing can optimize its performance. Two level spacing optimization techniques, one in electrical domain and another in optical domain are examined. In general, performance of the C-E-DCDM is improved significantly using both approaches. The results show by optimization, an improvement of around 5.5 dB can be achieved for the C-E-DCDM in terms of receiver sensitivity and optical signal-to-noise ratio using both electrical and optical methods. However, chromatic dispersion tolerance in one of the optimization approaches is degraded by around 34 ps/nm for negative dispersion, while the positive dispersion tolerance improved compared to the C-E-DCDM.  相似文献
