The Distance Geometry Problem (DGP) is the problem of determining whether a realization for a simple weighted undirected graph $$G=(V,E,d)$$ in a given Euclidean space exists so that the distances between pairs of realized vertices u, $$v \in V$$ correspond to the weights $$d_{uv}$$, for each $$\{u,v\} \in E$$. We focus on a special class of DGP instances, referred to as the Discretizable DGP (DDGP), and we introduce the K-discretization and the K-incident graphs for the DDGP class. The K-discretization graph is independent on the vertex order that can be assigned to V, and can be useful for discovering whether one of such orders actually exists so that the DDGP assumptions are satisfied. The use of a given vertex order allows the definition of another important graph, the K-incident graph, which is potentially useful for performing pre-processing analysis on the solution set of DDGP instances. 相似文献

Canova is a Brazilian homeopathic medication with immunomodulatory properties, recommended for patients where the immune system is depressed. Previous studies demonstrated that Canova induces up-regulation in numbers of leukocytes. The bone marrow microenvironment is composed of growth factors, stromal cells, extracellular matrix and progenitor cells that differentiate into mature blood cells. We now report the effect of in vitro administration of the medication on the mononuclear differentiation of the bone marrow cell. Swiss mice femurs were dissected cleaned and the cells of the marrow were flushed. The cells were plated, treated or not, incubated for different times and processed for light, transmission and scanning electron, and confocal microscopy analysis. Bone marrow cells showed an enhanced proliferation in vitro in response to Canova medication and Canova plus M-CSF and an increase was also observed in the numbers of the cell niches and ring-shaped nuclei cells. Confocal and transmission and scanning electron microscopy showed the stages of monocyte maturation, with resting and activated cells. With Canova treatment there was a marked increase in cell size, which is mainly attributable to the augmented cytoplasm, an increase in the number of mitochondria, expansion of the RER and an enlarged Golgi. The response to Canova treatment indicates that it influences mononuclear differentiation and activation of bone marrow progenitor and stromal cells. 相似文献

The problem of classifying the theoretically allowed patterns of spontaneous symmetry breading, in theories where the ground state is determined as a minimum of a G-invariant potential (G a compact group of transformations), is analyzed. A detailed, complete, and rigorous justification of a recently proposed approach to the determination of the minima of G-invariant potentials [10.] is presented. The results are obtained through an analysis of the geometry of the finite-dimensional representations of G, which leads to a complete characterization of the structure of orbit space and its partition in subsets (strata) formed by orbits with the same symmetry under G-transformations (orbit type), and to a new theorem stating that the gradients of complex analytic G-invariant functions annihilate on one-dimensional strata. Polynomial potentials in particular are studied. Conditions for instability of the residual symmetry (second-order phase transitions) are determined. 相似文献

This paper describes the investigation of the potential of a quadrupole orthogonal acceleration time-of-flight mass spectrometer (Q-TOF) equipped with an atmospheric pressure ionisation interface for quantitative measurements of small molecules separated by reversed phase liquid chromatography. To this end, the detection limits and linear dynamic range in particular were studied in an LC/MS/MS experiment using 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine standards and 3,4-methylenedioxyethylamphetamine for internal standardisation. In a second phase, the experiment was repeated with real biological extracts (whole blood, serum, and vitreous humour). A calibration for 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine and its metabolite 3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine was prepared in each of these matrices again using 3,4-methylenedioxyethylamphetamine as internal standard. The resulting quantitative data were compared with those obtained by liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection for the same extracts. The Q-TOF results revealed excellent sensitivity and a linear dynamic range of nearly four decades (2-10 000 pg on-column, r(2) = 0.9998, 1/x weighting). Furthermore, all the calibration curves prepared in biological material were superimposable, LC/MS/MS and LC-fluorescence, and the quantitative results for actual samples compared very favourably. It was concluded that the Q-TOF achieves a linear dynamic range for quantitative LC/MS/MS work exceeding that of fluorescence detection and at much better absolute sensitivity.
