The incorporation of cisplatin (CP) as a cytotoxic antineoplastic agent in most chemotherapeutic protocols is a challenge due to its toxic effect on testicular tissues. Natural compounds present a promising trend in research, so a new nutraceutical formulation (NCF) was designed to diminish CP spermatotoxicity. A combination of three nutraceutical materials, 250 mg Spirulina platensis powder (SP), 25 mg Tribulus terrestris L. extract (TT), and 100 mg fish oil (FO) were formulated in self-nanoemulsifying self-nanosuspension (SNESNS). SP was loaded into the optimized self-nanoemulsifying system (30% FO, 50% span 80/cremophor EL and 20% isopropanol) and mixed with TT aqueous solution to form SNESNS. For the SP, phytochemical profiling revealed the presence of valuable amounts of fatty acids (FAs), amino acids, flavonoids, polyphenols, vitamins, and minerals. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and particle size analysis confirmed the formation of nanoemulsion-based nanosuspension upon dilution. Method validation of the phytochemical constituents in NCF has been developed. Furthermore, NCF was biologically evaluated on male Wistar rats and revealed the improvement of spermatozoa, histopathological features, and biochemical markers over the CP and each ingredient group. Our findings suggest the potential of NCF with SNESNS as a delivery system against CP-induced testicular toxicity in male rats.  相似文献

Infections associated with the emergence of multidrug resistance and mosquito-borne diseases have resulted in serious crises associated with high mortality and left behind a huge socioeconomic burden. The chemical investigation of Lavandula coronopifolia aerial parts extract using HPLC–MS/MS led to the tentative identification of 46 compounds belonging to phenolic acids, flavonoids and their glycosides, and biflavonoids. The extract displayed larvicidal activity against Culex pipiens larvae (LC50 = 29.08 µg/mL at 72 h). It significantly inhibited cytochrome P-450 monooxygenase (CYP450), acetylcholinesterase (AChE), and carboxylesterase (CarE) enzymes with the comparable pattern to the control group, which could explain the mode of larvae toxification. The extract also inhibited the biofilm formation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa by 17–38% at different Minimum Inhibitory Concentrations (MICs) (0.5–0.125 mg/mL) while the activity was doubled when combined with ciprofloxacin (ratio = 1:1 v:v). In conclusion, the wild plant, L. coronopifolia, can be considered a promising natural source against resistant bacteria and infectious carriers.  相似文献

Preparation, Properties, Crystal and Molecular Structure of 2,2-Dimethyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-[1,4,2]diazasilolo[4,5-α]pyridinium-chloride-Chloroform(1/1), The title compound ( 1 ) is obtained by the reaction of 2-trimethylsilylaminopyridine and Me2CH2ClSiCl in CHCl3. The SiCl bond is ionic (X-ray structure determination). 1 crystallizes monoclinic space group P21/c (Z = 8). The asymmetric unit contains two symmetrically nonequivalent molecular cations of 1 , two Cl anions and two CHCl3. Silicon is tetracoordinate with Si? N-bond distances of 1.766 Å and 1.777 Å. The shortest SiCl distances (3.908 and 4.110 Å) correspond to ionic interactions. Both Cl anions are hydrogen bonded to CHC13. Additionally one C1? is hydrogen bonded to the NH groups of two neighbouring cations. Structural comparison with related compounds suggests these interactions to be responsible for the transition from pentacoordination to tetracoordination at Si (ionization of the Sic1 bond). 1H- and 29Si-NMR investigations of 1 show this transition to be dependent on the combined effect of NH…?C1? and C13CH…?C1? interactions. 1 is completely ionized in CDCl3 in the temperature range ?80° to +80°C while in the weaker acceptor solvent benzonitrile a temperature dependent shift from the ionic tetracoordinate to the pentacoordinate structure is observed with increasing pentacoordination with increase of temperature.  相似文献

This study presents a new method for collecting and handling saliva samples using an automated analytical microsyringe and microextraction by packed syringe (MEPS). The screening and determination of lidocaine in human saliva samples utilizing MEPS and liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC‐MS/MS) were carried out. An exact volume of saliva could be collected. The MEPS C8‐cartridge could be used for 50 extractions before it was discarded. The extraction recovery was about 60%. The biological effect, aquation, and kinetics of oxidation of bis(2‐aminobenzothiazole)dichlorocobalt(II) complex by periodate in aqueous acidic solutions were studied. The complex exhibited a broad resistance toward the studied pathogens. The average value of the aquation constant was calculated spectrophotometrically as 2.55 × 10?5 mol2 dm?6. Kinetics of the oxidation reaction showed first‐order dependence on each reactant concentration and increased by increasing pH over the 3.80–4.80 range, 35–50°C, and decreased by increasing the ionic strength over the 0.1–0.5 mol dm?3 range. The polymerization of acrylonitrile was taken as an evidence for an inner‐sphere mechanism through the formation of free radical intermediates of Co(III) complexes, which were slowly converted to the final Co(III)products.  相似文献
