Masses, widths and photocouplings of baryon resonances are determined in a coupled-channel partial-wave analysis of a large variety of data. The Bonn-Gatchina partial-wave formalism is extended to include a decomposition of t and u exchange amplitudes into individual partial waves. The multipole transition amplitudes for $ \gamma$ p $ \rightarrow$ p $ \pi^{0}_{}$ and $ \gamma$ p $ \rightarrow$ n $ \pi^{+}_{}$ are given and compared to results from other analyses.  相似文献

Resonant ultrasound spectroscopy was used to measure the elastic constants of bcc Ta0.33V0.67 over the temperature range 3.5–300?K; the results were compared to earlier measurements on C15 TaV2. The temperature dependence of the polycrystalline shear modulus is completely different in the two phases; that of the bcc phase decreases with temperature whereas that of the C15 phases increases in an anomalous fashion. This difference is consistent with a model involving doubly-degenerate levels at the X point of the Brillouin zone in the C15 phase with the Fermi level lying near the doubly degenerate level. This model accounted for the unusual behaviour of the C15 phase. Debye temperatures were determined from the ultrasonic measurements: 295?K for the C15 phase and 315?K for the bcc phase.  相似文献

The cross sections for the reaction ppppπ + π ? are measured at several values of the incident-proton energy. The resulting values are compared with other results, including values obtained previously for a deuteriumtarget, as well as with the predictions of a theoreticalmodel. This comparison reveals that, at energies below 850 MeV, the use of the impulse approximation in extracting the cross sections for double pion production on a free nucleon from data obtained with deuteron targets is illegitimate.  相似文献

Characteristic of the flow about wings of low aspect ratio with subsonic leading edges and bodies of revolution at angles of attack is the formation of spiral vortices as a result of rolling-up of the transverse flow, which separates near the wing leading edge and on the lateral generator of the body. The vortices, concentrated in a pair of free vortex cores, interact with the boundary layer, causing a complex flow pattern on the surface of the model in question.There are several methods which make it possible to study the flow about the model. Pickups may be used to measure the pressure field or the velocity field near the model. This technique has found wide application and was used for studying the flow pattern about wings and bodies of revolution at both subsonic and supersonic speeds (see, for example, [1–4]). However, this method is very tedious and, in addition, the probes always introduce disturbances into the flow, particularly for supersonic speeds.A visual picture of the vortex flow may be obtained in a towing basin by adding to the water metal powder in the suspended state, or by introducing filaments of colored liquid [1, 5].The vapor screen [6] and smoke [3] methods are also used for flow visualization.The boundary layer flow on the model may be studied with the aid of oil or evaporting coatings. These methods have been used in [1, 7] to study flow about wings and in [8] to study flow about circular cones.According to the studies presented in [9] of an electric discharge with the application of high voltage to electrodes located in an air stream, a stable glow occurs as a result of the prebreakdown discharge.The properties of the prebreakdown discharge have been used by the authors of the present paper to study visually the vortex flows (high voltage electric discharge method). This technique was used to obtain the trajectories of the vortex trails for low aspect ratio wings and circular cones mounted at various angles of attack in a stream with Mach number M=2 and Reynolds number R=0.9·106.In conclusion the author wishes to thank B. Data on at rest show two resonant processes: (a) f0(1370)η,f0(1370)→σσ and ρρ, (b) η(1440)σ, η(1440)→ηπ+π. The branching ratio BR[f0(1370)→ρρ]/BR[f0(1370)→σσ]=0.98±0.25 in the mass range available here. Using data on , the ratio Γ5 for f0(1370). The effects of the strongly s-dependent width of f0(1370) are discussed in some detail.The η(1440) is observed decaying to ησ and a0(980)π, with strong destructive interference between them. In its decay to a0(980)π, a narrow peak appears in the ηπ mass spectrum, but 30–50 MeV above that usually attributed to a0(980) and significantly above the KK threshold. This effect is explained naturally by a two-step process: η(1440)→K*(890)K followed by rescattering of the two kaons through a0(980) to ηπ above the KK threshold.  相似文献

In order to clear up the sensitivity of the nucleus-nucleus reaction cross sections σ R to the nuclear matter distributions in exotic halo nuclei, we have calculated the values of σ R for scattering of 6He, 11Li, and 19C nuclei on several nuclear targets at the energy of 0.8 GeV/nucleon. The calculations were performed in the “rigid target” approximation to the Glauber theory, different shapes of the nuclear density distributions in 6He, 11Li, and 19C being assumed.  相似文献
