Partially exfoliated nanocomposite(2) has been synthesized by intercalation of poly(propylene carbonate)(PPC) into commercial clay,Cloisite 20B(PPC/C-20B).Nanocomposite 2 was characterized phiso-chemically and exhibited high thermal,mechanical and anti-water sorption properties as compared to PPC and intercalated nanocomposite(1) of PPC/C-20B having same amount of clay.TGA results revealed that the thermal decomposition temperature(Td,50%) of 2 increased significantly,being 40 K and 17 K higher than that of pure PPC and 1,respectively,while DSC measurements indicated that the nano-filler dispersion of 2 increased the glass transition temperature from 21℃to 31℃.Accordingly,2 showed high elastic modulus,hardness and anti-water absorption capacity.These thermal,mechanical and anti-water absorption improvements are of great importance for the application of PPC as packaging and biomaterials.  相似文献

Reactions of CeIII(NO3)3?6 H2O or (NH4)2[CeIV(NO3)6] with Mn‐containing starting materials result in seven novel polynuclear Ce or Ce/Mn complexes with pivalato (tBuCO ) and, in most cases, auxiliary N,O‐ or N,O,O‐donor ligands. With nuclearities ranging from 6–14, the compounds present aesthetically pleasing structures. Complexes [CeIV6(μ3‐O)4(μ3‐OH)4(μ‐O2CtBu)12] ( 1 ), [CeIV6MnIII4(μ4‐O)4(μ3‐O)4(O2CtBu)12(ea)4(OAc)4]?4 H2O?4 MeCN (ea?=2‐aminoethanolato; 2 ), [CeIV6MnIII8(μ4‐O)4(μ3‐O)8(pye)4(O2CtBu)18]2[CeIV6(μ3‐O)4(μ3‐OH)4(O2CtBu)10(NO3)4] [CeIII(NO3)5(H2O)]?21 MeCN (pye?=pyridine‐2‐ethanolato; 3 ), and [CeIV6CeIII2MnIII2(μ4‐O)4(μ3‐O)4(tbdea)2(O2CtBu)12(NO3)2(OAc)2]?4 CH2Cl2 (tbdea2?=2,2′‐(tert‐butylimino]bis[ethanolato]; 4 ) all contain structures based on an octahedral {CeIV6(μ3‐O)8} core, in which many of the O‐atoms are either protonated to give (μ3‐OH)? hydroxo ligands or coordinate to further metal centers (MnIII or CeIII) to give interstitial (μ4‐O)2? oxo bridges. The decanuclear complex [CeIV8CeIIIMnIII(μ4‐O)3(μ3‐O)3(μ3‐OH)2(μ‐OH)(bdea)4(O2CtBu)9.5(NO3)3.5(OAc)2]?1.5 MeCN (bdea2?=2,2′‐(butylimino]bis[ethanolato]; 5 ) contains a rather compact CeIV7 core with the CeIII and MnIII centers well‐separated from each other on the periphery. The aggregate in [CeIV4MnIV2(μ3‐O)4(bdea)2(O2CtBu)10(NO3)2]?4 MeCN ( 6 ) is based on a quasi‐planar {MnIV2CeIV4(μ3‐O)4} core made up of four edge‐sharing {MnIVCeIV2(μ3‐O)} or {CeIV3(μ3‐O)} triangles. The structure of [CeIV3MnIV4MnIII(μ4‐O)2(μ3‐O)7(O2CtBu)12(NO3)(furan)]?6 H2O ( 7 ?6 H2O) can be considered as {MnIV2CeIV2O4} and distorted {MnIV2MnIIICeIVO4} cubane units linked through a central (μ4‐O) bridge. The Ce6Mn8 equals the highest nuclearity yet reported for a heterometallic Ce/Mn aggregate. In contrast to most of the previously reported heterometallic Ce/Mn systems, which contain only CeIV and either MnIV or MnIII, some of the aggregates presented here show mixed valency, either MnIV/MnIII (see 7 ) or CeIV/CeIII (see 4 and 5 ). Interestingly, some of the compounds, including the heterovalent CeIV/CeIII 4 , could be obtained from either CeIII(NO3)3?6 H2O or (NH4)2[CeIV(NO3)6] as starting material.  相似文献

A carbon film containing 5% TiC particles is formed on a pre‐prepared bronze surface prior to laser treatment. The carbon film provides increased absorption of the incident laser beam and hosts TiC particles with a uniform distribution at the workpiece surface. Optical and scanning electron microscopy are used to examine the metallurgical and morphological changes in the laser treated layer. Micro‐hardness of the laser‐treated surface is measured, and the residual stress formed in the surface vicinity is measured using the X‐ray diffraction technique. It was found that a dense layer with fine grains was formed in the laser‐treated layer. The micro‐hardness of the laser‐treated surface increases almost three times compared with the base material hardness. The presence of a dense layer and the formation of Cu3N in the surface region contribute to the hardness enhancement at the surface. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Rutile TiO2 particles made by flame spray pyrolysis (FSP) were coated in a single step with SiO2 layers in an enclosed flame reactor. This in situ particle coating was accomplished by a hollow ring delivering hexamethyldisiloxane (HMDSO) vapor (precursor to SiO2) through multiple jets in swirl cross-flow to Al-doped nanostructured rutile TiO2 aerosol freshly made by FSP of a solution of titanium tetraisopropoxide and aluminum sec-butoxide in xylene. The as-prepared powders were characterized by (scanning) transmission electron microscopy (STEM and TEM), energy dispersive X-ray analysis, X-ray diffraction, nitrogen adsorption, electrophoretic mobility, DC plasma optical emission (DCP-OES), and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. The coating quality was assessed further by the photocatalytic oxidation of isopropyl alcohol to acetone. The effect of HMDSO injection point and vapor concentration on product particle morphology was investigated. The titania particles were uniformly SiO2-coated with controlled and uniform thickness at a production rate of about 30 g h(-1) and exhibited limited, if any, photoactivity. In contrast, spraying and combusting equivalent mixtures of the above Si/Al/Ti precursors in the above reactor (without delivering HMDSO through the hollow ring) resulted in particles segregated in amorphous (SiO2) and crystalline (TiO2) domains which exhibited high photocatalytic activity.  相似文献

The qualitative and quantitative analysis of soil samples collected from Sialkot, Pakistan (which contains leather industrial plants), has been performed using laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) and laser ablation time of flight mass spectrometry (LA-TOF-MS). The focused beam of a Q-switched Nd: YAG laser (532?nm) was used to ablate the soil samples in air at atmospheric pressure. The optical emission spectra demonstrate the presence of the spectral lines of Si, Fe, Al, Ca, Ti, K, Cr, Mg, Na, Ba, and Li in all of the samples. The emission lines intensities, electron number densities, and excitation temperatures were significantly enhanced in the presence of an external 0.3 T magnetic field applied perpendicular to the plasma plume. A maximum enhancement factor of approximately 8 was observed in the emission intensity. The emergence of several additional lines has also been detected using the magnetic field-assisted LIBS approach. The elemental composition determined using calibration-free laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (CF-LIBS), with and without magnetic field, reveals that the external magnetic field only adjusts the laser-generated plasma dynamics without affecting the quantitative analysis of the samples. Importantly, the toxic and heavy elements such as chromium and barium were detected and quantified in all of the soil samples by both of these techniques. The variations in the compositional analysis using CF-LIBS with and without the applied magnetic field and LA-TOF-MS were less than 10%.  相似文献

In this paper, we have completely classified the locally rotationally symmetric (LRS) Bianchi type I spacetimes via Noether symmetries (NS). The usual Lagrangian corresponding to LRS Bianchi type I metric is used to find the set of determining equations. To achieve a complete classification, these determining equations are generally integrated to find the components of NS vector field and the metric coefficients. During this procedure, several cases arise which give different Noether algebras of dimension 5,..., 9, 11, and 17. A comparison is established between the obtained NS and the Killing and homothetic vectors. Corresponding to all NS generators, the conservation laws are stated by using Noether's theorem. The metrics which we have obtained as a result of our classification are shown to be anisotropic or perfect fluids which satisfy certain energy conditions.  相似文献

The paper concerns active control of impulsive noise having peaky distribution with heavy tail. Such impulsive noise can be modeled using non-Gaussian stable process for which second order moments do not exist. The most famous filtered-x least mean square (FxLMS) algorithm for active noise control (ANC) systems is based on the minimization of variance (second order moment) of error signal, and hence, becomes unstable for the impulsive noise. In order to improve the robustness of adaptive algorithms for processes having distributions with heavy tails (i.e. signals with outliers), either (1) a robust optimization criterion may be used to derive the adaptive algorithm or (2) the large amplitude samples may be ignored or replaced by an appropriate threshold value. Among the existing algorithms for ANC of impulsive noise, one is based on the minimizing least mean p-power (LMP) of the error signal, resulting in FxLMP algorithm (approach 1). The other is based on modifying; on the basis of statistical properties; the reference signal in the update equation of the FxLMS algorithm (approach 2). In this paper we propose two solutions to improve the robustness of the FxLMP algorithm. In first proposed algorithm, the reference and the error signals are thresholded before being used in the update equation of FxLMP algorithm. As another solution to improve the performance of FxLMP algorithm, a modified normalized step size is proposed. The computer simulations are carried out, which demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.  相似文献

Nd Fe_(1-x)Ni_xO_3(0.1 ≤ x ≤ 0.7) orthoferrites are synthesized by solid state reaction method, and the structural properties of these materials are investigated by employing x-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and M o¨ssbauer spectroscopy. The orthorhombic structure is observed in all systems; however, with the increase in Ni doping,the increase in tolerance factor and the decrease in the cell volume are observed. Orthorhombic distortion decreases with Ni content increasing up to 50%, while above 50% Ni doping it increases. SEM examination indicates the increases in grain size and intermixing of grains with increase in Ni concentration. Comparison between bulk and theoretical densities shows that in each of all samples porosity is less than 2%. M?ssbauer spectroscopic investigations are performed to explain local structure, Fe oxidation states and collapse of the magnetic ordering. In these samples the Fe oxidation state remains+3 and there is no considerable increase in hole states observed; however due to mismatch of the ionic radii between Fe~(3+) and Ni~(3+), octahedral distortions, sagging and distribution of hyperfine parameters increase with increase in Ni concentration. The major factors behind the collapse of magnetic ordering in the Ni-doped systems are the weakening of the super-exchange interactions, decrease in the Neel temperature, increase in spin–spin relaxation frequency and high spin to low spin transition.  相似文献
