Calculations [1] of rheological properties of polymeric solutions have usually been restricted to very dilute o r to very concentrated solutions. In either case, one starts with a model for the micro- structure. Between these two conceptual extremes lies the broad class of moderately concentrated solutions. To cover this region theoretically, two approaches have been used; 1) network theories focusing attention on entanglement junctions, and 2) single-molecule theories focusing attention on single molecules but including inter- molecular interactions. Williams, Wang, and Zimm introduced a double model; one for a particular macromolecule and another for solutions containing like molecules in which the chosen macro- molecule is suspended. This approach has turned out to be quite successful because spheres immersed in a suspension of like spheres behave as i f suspended in a Newtonian fluid, and the resulting ex- pression for viscosity is quite simple in form and qualitatively correct for moderate concentrations.  相似文献

Ginger rhizome powder was used for the synthesis of supported metallic nanoparticle catalysts. A simple and novel adsorption method was used for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles loaded on ginger powder (Ag/GP), copper on ginger powder (Cu/GP) and nickel on ginger powder (Ni/GP). Among these, Ag/GP showed selective reduction of methyl orange and was used for further reactions. The prepared nanomaterials were characterized through X‐ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy. The prepared Ag/GP catalyst was employed in the catalytic reduction of 4‐nitrophenol (4‐NP), 2‐nitrophenol (2‐NP), rhodamine B, methyl red and congo red. Ag/GP showed excellent catalytic reduction activity, the rate constants being 1.26 × 10?3 and 2.38 × 10?3 s?1 for 2‐NP and 4‐NP, respectively. The turnover frequency reached 1.06 min?1 for 2‐NP and 1.16 min?1 for 4‐NP when using the Ag/GP catalyst. The prepared Ag/GP catalyst demonstrated outstanding activity for the degradation of a mixed solution of dyes. Also, stability and reusability of the prepared catalyst were investigated, which showed outstanding reusability up to five times and was stable up to five days.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

We study the inverse problem of identifying a variable parameter in variational and quasi-variational inequalities. We consider a quasi-variational inequality involving a multi-valued monotone map and give a new existence result. We then formulate the inverse problem as an optimization problem and prove its solvability. We also conduct a thorough study of the inverse problem of parameter identification in noncoercive variational inequalities which appear commonly in applied models. We study the inverse problem by posing optimization problems using the output least-squares and the modified output least-squares. Using regularization, penalization, and smoothing, we obtain a single-valued parameter-to-selection map and study its differentiability. We consider optimization problems using the output least-squares and the modified output least-squares for the regularized, penalized and smoothened variational inequality. We give existence results, convergence analysis, and optimality conditions. We provide applications and numerical examples to justify the proposed framework.  相似文献

Metal-catalyzed reactions play a vital part to construct a variety of pharmaceutically important scaffolds from past few decades. To carry out these reactions under mild conditions with low-cost easily available precursors, various new methodologies have been reported day by day. Sandmeyer reaction is one of these, first discovered by Sandmeyer in 1884. It is a well-known reaction mainly used for the conversion of an aryl amine to an aryl halide in the presence of Cu(I) halide via formation of diazonium salt intermediate. This reaction can be processed with or without copper catalysts for the formation of C–X (X?=?Cl, Br, I, etc.), C-CF3/CF2, C–CN, C–S, etc., linkages. As a result, corresponding aryl halides, trifluoromethylated compounds, aryl nitriles and aryl thioethers can be obtained which are effectively used for the construction of biologically active compounds. This review article discloses various literature reports about Sandmeyer-related transformations developed during 2000–2021 which give different ideas to synthetic chemists about further development of new and efficient protocols for Sandmeyer reaction.

Gaussian quantum steering is a type of quantum correlation in which two entangled states exhibit asymmetry. An efficient theoretical proposal is presented for the control of quantum steering and enhancement of entanglement in a Laguerre–Gaussian (LG) cavity optomechanical system. The system contains two rotating mirrors and a coherently driven optical parametric amplifier (OPA). The numerical results show significantly improved mirror-mirror and mirror-cavity entanglements by controlling the system parameters such as parametric gain, parametric phase, and the frequency of the two rotating mirrors. In addition to bipartite entanglement, our system also exhibits mirror-cavity-mirror tripartite entanglement as well. Another intriguing finding is the control of quantum steering, for which several results were obtained by investigating it for various system parameters. It is shown that the steering directivity is primarily determined by the frequency of two rotating mirrors. Furthermore, for two rotating mirrors, quantum steering is found to be asymmetric both one-way and two-way. Therefore, it can be asserted that the current proposal may help in the understanding of non-local correlations and entanglement verification tasks.  相似文献

The chemistry of oxygen, hydrogen, water, and other species containing both oxygen and hydrogen atoms on the anatase TiO2 (001) surface is investigated by DFT. The adsorption energy of atoms and radicals depends appreciably on the position and mode of adsorption, and on the coverage. Molecular hydrogen and oxygen interact weakly with the clean surface. However, H2O dissociates spontaneously to give two nonidentical hydroxyl groups, and this provides a model for hydroxylation of TiO2 surfaces by water. The mobility of the hydroxyl groups created by water splitting is initially impeded by a diffusion barrier close to 1 eV. The O2 adsorption energy increases significantly in the presence of H atoms. Hydroperoxy (OOH) formation is feasible if at least two H atoms are present in the direct vicinity of O2. In the adsorbed OOH, the O? O bond is considerably lengthened and thus weakened.  相似文献

Electrical properties of SiO2 grown on the Si-face of the epitaxial 4H-SiC substrate by wet thermal oxidation technique have been experimentally investigated in metal oxide-silicon carbide (MOSiC) structure with varying oxide thicknesses employing Poole-Frenkel (P-F) conduction mechanism. The quality of SiO2 with increasing thickness in MOSiC structure has been analysed on the basis of variation in multiple oxide traps due to effective P-F conduction range. Validity of Poole-Frenkel conduction is established quantitatively employing electric field and the oxide thickness using forward I–V characteristics across MOSiC structures. From P-F conduction plot (ln(J/E) vs. E 1/2), it is revealed that Poole-Frenkel conduction retains its validation after a fixed electric field range. The experimental methodology adopted is useful for the characterization of oxide films grown on 4H-SiC substrate.  相似文献

Phytochemical investigation of the aerial parts of Evolvulus alsinoides Linn. (Convolvulacae) resulted in the isolation of a new chromone characterized as 6-hydroxy-5-nonadecanoxychroman-2-one (alsinoideschromone) along with hexatriacontane, octyl octadec-9-enoate, nonyl octadec-9-enoate, dodecanyl-octadec-9,12-dienoate, tetracosanyl hexadec-9-enoate, heptacosan-14-β-ol, stigmast-5, 22-dien-3β-ol and stigmata-5-en-3β-ol. The structure of all these phytoconstituents have been established on the basis of spectral data analysis and chemical reactions.  相似文献

Data generated in forestry biometrics are not normal in statistical sense as they rarely follow the normal regression model. Hence, there is a need to develop models and methods in forest biometric applications for non-normal models. Due to generality of Bayesian methods it can be implemented in the situations when Gaussian regression models do not fit the data. Data on diameter at breast height (dbh), which is a very important characteristic in forestry has been fitted to Weibull and gamma models in Bayesian paradigm and comparisons have also been made with its classical counterpart. It may be noted that MCMC simulation tools are used in this study. An attempt has been made to apply Bayesian simulation tools using \textbf{R} software.  相似文献
