Data obtained from p-p collisions at centre-of-mass energies between 31 and 63 GeV are presented on correlations between momentum analysed forward π?, K? and and charged particles observed in an omnidirectional hodoscope. The data show that significant correlations are present over the whole rapidity range for all three types of negative particles. The dependence on various kinematic variables suggests a cluster mechanism for the production of particles. In this picture, pions would be produced in clusters emitted in the fragmentation region while K? and emanate from non-leading clusters. 相似文献

We develop a conditional entropy theory for infinite measure preserving actions of countable discrete amenable groups with
respect to a σ-finite factor. This includes ‘infinite’ analogues of relative Kolmogorov-Sinai, Rokhlin and Krieger theorems
on generating partitions, Pinsker theorem on disjointness, Furstenberg decomposition and disjointness theorems, etc. In case
of ℤ-action, our concept of relative entropy matches well the ‘absolute’ entropy h
Kr introduced by Krengel. Answering in part his question and a question of Silva and Thieullen, we show that for any non-distal
transformation S there exists an infinite measure preserving transformation T with h
Kr(T × S) = ∞ but h
Kr(T) = 0.

This paper provides empirical evidence for the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjectures for modular Jacobians of genus 2 curves. The second of these conjectures relates six quantities associated to a Jacobian over the rational numbers. One of these six quantities is the size of the Shafarevich-Tate group. Unable to compute that, we computed the five other quantities and solved for the last one. In all 32 cases, the result is very close to an integer that is a power of 2. In addition, this power of 2 agrees with the size of the 2-torsion of the Shafarevich-Tate group, which we could compute.

This is the report of Heavy Ion Physics and Quark-Gluon Plasma at WHEPP-09 which was part of Working Group-4. Discussion and
work on some aspects of quark-gluon plasma believed to have created in heavy-ion collisions and in early Universe are reported. 相似文献

Data, obtained from p-p collisions at centre-of-mass energies between 31 and 63 GeV, are presented on inclusive and semi-inclusive correlations between forward emitted neutrons and charged particles observed in an omnidirectional hodoscope. A total absorption spectrometer was used to detect the neutrons and to measure their energy. Significant correlations are observed over the whole rapidity range. The data suggest that neutrons result from the decay of clusters emitted in the fragmentation region. 相似文献

Samples of 9200 muon-neutrino and 3800 muon-antineutrino interactions on nuclei were obtained with the fine-grain calorimeter of the CHARM Collaboration at the CERN 200 GeV narrow-band neutrino beam. The interactions were classified as either neutral-current or charged-current processes on an event-by-event basis. Neutral-current and charged-current cross sections in neutrino and antineutrino interactions are presented. From these results we deduce a statistically significant contribution of right-handed coupling to the neutral hadronic current, and a value of the electroweak mixing angle corresponding to sin2θ = 0.220 ± 0.014. 相似文献
