Theoretical results on the propagation of magnetoacoustic waves in an ideal magnetic fluid with frozen magnetization are generalized. Expressions for the propagation velocity of fast and slow magnetoacoustic waves and Alfven waves are derived. We have used atomic force microscopy to study the adsorption of PolyStyrene-Poly(VinylPyridine) (PS-PVP) block copolymers from a selective solvent onto atomically smooth mica surfaces. At certain copolymer concentrations, we observe a highly regular array of spherical surface micelles covering macroscopic areas of the substrate surface. Evidence is given for a thin homogeneous layer underneath the micelles which is probably due to adsorption of free copolymer chains and brush formation prior to the formation of the micellar structures. We discuss the quality of the self-assembled structures regarding different types of defects and try to identify means for improving the long range periodicity of the structures.  相似文献

We study the diffusion coefficient of Active Brownian particles in two dimensions. In addition to usual attributes of active motion we let the particles turn in preferred directions over random times. This angular motion is modeled by an effective Lorentz force with time dependent frequency switching between two values at exponentially distributed random times. The diffusion coefficient is calculated by the Taylor-Kubo formula where distributions found from a Fokker-Planck equation or from a continuous time random walk approach have been inserted for averaging. The mass of the tau lepton has been measured in the decay mode tau-->3pinutau using a pseudomass technique. The result obtained from 414 fb-1 of data collected with the Belle detector is Mtau=[1776.61+/-0.13(stat)+/-0.35(sys)] MeV/c2. The upper limit on the relative mass difference between positive and negative tau leptons is |Mtau+-Mtau-|/Mtau<2.8 x 10-4 at 90% confidence level.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline cerium-dioxide samples with different coherent-scattering region sizes are analyzed by advanced techniques, specifically, small-angle neutron scattering, X-ray and neutron diffraction, and spectrometry of the chemical shift in the characteristic X-ray lines. The obtained data confirm the presence of the size effect, i.e., the dependence of lattice constants on the size of coherent-scattering regions. Meanwhile, no traces of oxygen nonstoichiometry and a related deviation in the effective degree of cerium oxidation from the standard value are found. The results obtained call into question the Tsunekawa model traditionally used to explain the size effect in this compound.  相似文献

This paper reports on the results of investigations of the thermal properties and thermal conductivity of single crystals of homogeneous solid solutions Fe x Mn1 ? x S with a cubic NaCl structure, which have been prepared by the cation substitution for divalent manganese ions in manganese monosulfide. It has been revealed that the heat capacity and thermal conductivity exhibit anomalies in the range of the magnetic transition. The cation substitution is accompanied by an increase in the phase transition temperature.  相似文献
