Method of integro-differential relations in linear elasticity   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Boundary-value problems in linear elasticity can be solved by a method based on introducing integral relations between the components of the stress and strain tensors. The original problem is reduced to the minimization problem for a nonnegative functional of the unknown displacement and stress functions under some differential constraints. We state and justify a variational principle that implies the minimum principles for the potential and additional energy under certain boundary conditions and obtain two-sided energy estimates for the exact solutions. We use the proposed approach to develop a numerical analytic algorithm for determining piecewise polynomial approximations to the functions under study. For the problems on the extension of a free plate made of two different materials and bending of a clamped rectangular plate on an elastic support, we carry out numerical simulation and analyze the results obtained by the method of integro-differential relations.  相似文献

In this study, the heat transfer by means of pool film boiling on immersed vertical cylindrical rods was investigated. For this purpose, the rods with various dimensions, which have been heated up to 600°C, were immersed in a pure water pool in the different temperatures. The centre temperature and water temperature versus operation time were measured by K type thermocouples at the atmospheric pressure. After experimental studies, the surface temperatures of rods and heat transfer coefficients were calculated by means of Lumped method from the measured temperatures. Consequently, an empirical equation was developed between the Nusselt, Grashof, Prandtl and Jakob numbers. The experimental results showed that the specimens having the same characteristic lengths exhibited the same heat transfers performance although the specimen’s diameters and lengths differed considerably.  相似文献

The objective of this work is to find out optimum settings for a fractional PI λ controller in order to fulfill three different robustness specifications of design for the compensated system, taking advantage of the fractional order, λ. Since this fractional controller has one parameter more than the conventional PI controller, one more specification can be fulfilled, improving the performance of the system and making it more robust to plant uncertainties, such as gain and time constant changes. For the tuning of the controller an iterative optimization method has been used, based on a nonlinear function minimization. Two real examples of application are presented and simulation results are shown to illustrate the effectiveness of this kind of unconventional controllers.  相似文献

The three-dimensional dynamic problem of coplanar circular cracks in an elastic half-space with a clamped boundary condition is considered. The crack faces are subjected to harmonic loads. The problem is reduced to a system of two-dimensional boundary integral equations of the type of the Helmholtz potential for unknown discontinuities in the displacements of the opposite faces of the cracks. Numerical simulation is used to study the dynamics of non-Newtonian free-surface flow in a cylindrical-conical hydrocyclone. For different angles of taper of the conical section of the hydrocyclone, the pressure and velocity distributions are calculated, together with the dependence of the fluid film thickness on the axial coordinate. The present paper provides a statistical model to the size effect on grained materials tensile strength; it is based on an Extreme Value Theory approach. Since the weakest link in grained materials is usually represented by the interface between the matrix and the aggregates, it is assumed that the flaw distribution can be represented by the aggregate distribution, expressed as a probability density function (pdf) of the grain diameters. Under the hypothesis that the strength of the material depends on the largest flaw, the tensile strength is computed as a function of the specimen size. In this way, two remarkable results are obtained: (i) a size effect for the average tensile strength that substantially agrees with the multifractal scaling law (MFSL) proposed by the first author and (ii) an increase of scatter of the tensile strength values when testing small specimens. Both these trends are confirmed by experimental data available in the literature.  相似文献

The two-dimensional thermal problem due to relative motion of a medium and a suddenly activated circular heat source is solved for several boundary conditions. The solutions can be interpreted as for a moving heat source in a stationary medium or a medium moving past a stationary heat source. Uniform and non-uniform temperature, and uniform and non-uniform heat flux boundary conditions are considered. The effect of velocity and radial direction on the temperature distribution is examined. Average, steady-state Nusselt numbers are derived. The transient response of a continuous line source is obtained as a limiting case of the prescribed heat flux solution. A model for combined mass and heat transfer during nonisothermal gas absorption in a two-phase gasliquid bubbly medium with a high gas content and/or large times of gas-liquid contact is suggested. Diffusion and thermal interactions between bubbles is taken into account in the approximation of a cellular model of a bubbly medium whereby a bubbly medium is viewed as a periodic structure consisting of identical spherical cells with periodic boundary conditions at a cell boundary. Distribution of concentration of dissolved gas, temperature distribution in liquid and coefficients of mass and heat transfer during nonisothermal absorption of a soluble pure gas from a bubble by liquid are determined. In the limiting case of absorption without heat release the derived formulas recover the expressions for isothermal absorption.  相似文献

We apply a topological approach to the investigation of quasilinear parabolic boundary-value problems. The class of problems under investigation is reduced to an operator equation with an operator satisfying condition (S)+.
