相干布居数囚禁原子频标的实现及相关实验参数研究   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
原子频标要求高信噪比和窄线宽的鉴频信号,但对于被动型相干囚禁态原子频标(CPT频标), 改善鉴频信号信噪比以增加线宽为代价,因此选择合适的信噪比和线宽组合是研制CPT原子频标频标的重要环节。文章介绍了用桌面CPT频标系统地研究了鉴频信号与温度、光强等参数的关系所获得的研究结果,由此获得了合适选取的信噪比与线宽组合的依据。文章还给出了关于光源非理想偏振导致的消相干效应对CPT频标的影响所开展的实验结果。文章所提供的研究结果不仅帮助我们研制成功了CPT频标,而且对于CPT物理现象研究和其他CPT频标的研制也有参考价值。  相似文献

By using Faraday optical filter combined with four-wave mixing (FWM) amplifier, a narrow bandwidth optical amplifying atomic filter with switchable dual-passband is demonstrated experimentally. The two transmission peaks of the filter correspond to the Stokes and anti-Stokes frequencies, exhibiting a Raman gain in 13- and 17-fold, respectively, with bandwidth of ~120 MHz. By properly setting pump laser detuning, switching between filter passbands is realized. We also investigate the dependence of peak transmission on both pump laser intensity and Rb cell temperature. This atomic filter can find practical applications in long-distance laser communications and laser remote-sensing systems.  相似文献

We demonstrate high-fidelity manipulation of the quantized motion of a single87Rb atom in an optical tweezer via microwave couplings induced by Stern–Gerlach splitting. The Stern–Gerlach splitting is mediated by polarization gradient of a strongly focused tweezer beam that functions as fictitious magnetic field gradient. We have experimentally observed the reduction of light speed in a rubidium vapour medium coherently preparedby electromagnetically induced transparency. The light speed reduction was deduced by directly measuring thetime delay of a probe light when it passed through the medium. The time delay varies with the intensity of thecoupling laser, and the typical time delay we recorded was 1.8 μs, corresponding to a light speed of 56000 m/s.  相似文献

Whether the transitions between 6s5d 3D and 5d6p 3F can be used for laser cooling of barium heavily depends upon the transition probabilities of 5d6p 3F-5d2 3F. Taking the transition 6s5d 3D3-5d6p 3F4 as a scale, the leakage rate of 5d6p 3F4-5d2 3F was used to evaluate the transition probabilities. 706 nm laser pulses with different durations were applied to a barium atomic beam for 6s5d 3D3-5d2 3F4 optical pumping, and the remaining percentages in 6s5d 3D3 were measured. After exponential fitting, the transition probability of 5d6p 3F4-5d2 3F3,4 was determined to be 2.1(4)×104 s?1, which is in agreement with theoretical calculations using the scaled Thomas-Fermi-Dirac method.  相似文献

Optical guiding of ^Rb atoms in a magneto-optical trap (MOT) by a blue-detuned horizontal hollow laser beam is demonstrated experimentally. The guiding efficiency and the velocity distribution of the guided atoms are found to have strong dependence on the detuning of the guiding laser. In particular, the optimum guiding occurs when the blue detuning of the hollow laser beam is approximately equal to the hyperfine structure splitting of the ^85Rb ground states, in good agreement with the theoretical analysis based on a three-level model.  相似文献
