Using closed orbit theory, we study the influence of the two parallel metal surfaces on the recurrence spectra of a hydrogen atom placed in the region between the two surfaces. The results show that the metal surfaces have significant effect on the photoabsorption process. Each resonance peak in the recurrence spectra is associated with one electronic closed orbit. In our work, we put the first metal surface at the critical value dc and vary the second metal surface. The results show that when the distances between the hydrogen atom and the two metal surfaces are close to the critical valuedc, the number of the closed orbits is the greatest and there are more peaks in the recurrence spectra. When the distance between the atom and the second metal surface is larger or smaller than dc, the number of the closed orbits decreases and there are fewer peaks in the recurrence spectra. The classical dynamics of a Rydberg hydrogen atom in a generalized van der Waals potential plus a magnetic field is investigated by using the Poincaré surface of section and phase space trajectories method. The dynamical character of this system depends sensitively on the magnetic field strength. The numerical calculations show that for a certain van der Waals potential, its classical dynamics is regular without the external magnetic field. However, with the addition of the external magnetic field, the dynamical property of the Rydberg hydrogen atom begins to change. With the increase of the magnetic field strength, order-chaos-order-chaos types of transition regions are observed for the hydrogen atom. As the magnetic field strength is very large, nearly all the phase space trajectories are chaotic. Under this condition, only chaotic motion appears. This is caused by the diamagnetic Zeeman effect. Employing the two-state model and the time-dependent wave packet method, the influence of femtosecond laser wavelength on the evolution of the double-minimum electronic excited state wave packet is numerically investigated. For different laser wavelengths, evolutions of the double-minimum electronic excited state wave packet with time and internuclear distance are different. One can control the evolution of the wave packet by varying the laser wavelength appropriately, which will benefit the light manipulation of atomic and molecular processes. Furthermore, study of the dynamics of the NaRb molecule may yield clues to creating an ultracold molecule. 相似文献
