A theoretical analysis of noise in a high-power cascaded fiber amplifier is presented. Unlike the noise theory in low power communication, the noise of a high power system is redefined as the leaked output energy between pulses with coherent beat noise uncounted. This definition is more appropriate for high power usage in which the pulse energy receives more attention than the pulse shape integrity. Then the low power pre-amplifying stages are considered as linear amplification and analyzed by linear theory. In the high-power amplification stages, the inversion is assumed to recover linearly in the time interval between pulses. The time shape of the output pulse is different from that of the input signal because of different gains at the front and back ends of the pulse. Then, a criterion is provided to distinguish the nonlinear and linear amplifications based on the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) analysis. Then, an experiment that shows that the output SNR actually drops off in nonlinear amplification is performed. The change in the noise factor can be well evaluated by pulse shape distortion. 相似文献

The adiabatic effective baryon-baryou interactions and dibaryon candidates are studied systematically with three constituent quark models based on different effective degrees of freedom:Glozman-Riska-Brown Goldstone boson exchange model based on constituent quark and Goldstone boson coupling;Fujiwara model based on constituent quark gluon coupling and Nijmegen one-boson exchange;QDCSM based on constituent quark and gluon coupling with quark delocalization and color screening.We find that the three models predicted the similar effective baryon-baryon interactions for roughly two thirds among the 64 states consisted of octet and decuplet baryons.The differences among three models and their separate characteristics are also studied. 相似文献

We propose a six-parameter exponential-type potential (SPEP),which has been shown to be a shapeinvariant potential with a translation of parameters.For this reducible potential,the exact energy levels are obtained by using the supersymmetric shape invariance technique.Choosing appropriate parameters,four classes of exponential-type potentials and their exact energy spectra are reduced from the SPEP and a general energy level formula,respectively.Each class shows the identity except for the different definitions of parameters. 相似文献

Long-range effects on the pyroelectric coefficient of a ferroelectric superlattice consisting of two different ferroelectric materials are investigated based on the transverse Ising model.The effects of the interfacial coupling and the thickness of one period on the pyroelectric coefficient of the ferroelectric superlattics are studied by taking into account the long-range interaction.It is found that with the increase of the strength of the long-range interaction,the pyroelectric coefficient decreases when the temperature is lower than the phase transition temperature;the mumber of the pyroelectric peaks decreases gradually and the phase transition temperature increases,It is also found that with the decrease of the interfacial coupling and the thickness of one period.the phase transition temperature and the number of the pyroelectric peaks decrease. 相似文献

Without using the weak-field approximation,we investigate the transient properties of a Λ-type atom with one transition near resonant with a photonic bandgap edge.Whatever the initial state of the atom is,the atom can become transparent to a probe field,and strong gain without population inversion is also possible if the atom has been pre-excited.The defect mode formed by atomic doping can have a strong effect on the absorption properties of the atom. 相似文献
