Improving quantum state transfer in a general XY chain via the Dzyaloshinskyben Moriya interaction

We study the state transfer of Bell states in a general XY spin chain using the Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya interaction. Two symmetries of fidelity with the anisotropy parameter are found. The maximum fidelity is shown to be significantly enhanced in cases of an odd number of sites. Enhancement of fidelity on a singlet state is greater than that on the other Bell states in such cases.

DYNAMICAL BEHAVIOUR OF THE SUPERCURRENT IN MESOSCOPIC JOSEPHSON JUNCTIONS

In this paper we use a numerical method to study the quantum effect of dynamical localization on the supercurrent in a mesoscopic Josephson junction driven by a periodically external electromagnetic field. We find that the charge is localized effectively when the ratio of the field magnitude and the field frequency equal some critical values, and in these cases the amplitude of the oscillation of the supercurrent will remain constant.

Continuous-Variable Entanglement in a Coupled Field-Mesoscopic Josephson Junction System

Continuous-variable entanglement in the interacting system of a mesoscopic Josephson junction with a squeezed field is investigated. It is shown that when the cavity field is initially prepared in a squeezed vacuum state and the junction in its lowest energy state, the coupling system can evolve into a two-mode Caussian state. The timedependent characteristic function in the Wigner representation for the system is analytically obtained, and the squeezing degree of the initial cavity field turns out to have not only an apparent enhancing but also a weakening effect on the entanglement of the coupling system under suitable parameter conditions.     

Tunable Kondo Effect of a Three-Terminal Transport Quantum Dot Embedded in an Aharonov-Bohm Ring

We theoretically investigate the Kondo effect of a three-terminal transport quantum dot （QD） embedded in an Aharonov-Bohm ring in the Kondo regime by means of the one-impurity Anderson Hamiltonian. The Hamiltonian is solved by means of the slave-boson mean-field theory. We find that in this system, the Kondo effect depends sensitively oil the parity and size of the ring; the Kondo screening cloud can be tuned by tuning the coupling strength of the reservoir-dot. Thus this model might be a candidate for future device applications.
