Effects of the Scattering Length on the Yrast Spectrum for a Two-Component Bose-Einstein Condensates

We study the energy eigenvalue and the yrast states for a harmonically two-component weak-interacting Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) when the intra-species and interspecies scattering length are different. The energy shift for different energy eigenvalues related to intra-and interspecies scattering lengths is calculated with the perturbation method. The actual yrast spectrum is more complicated than that when intra-species and interspecies scattering length are equal. The degenerated features disappear and so do the perfect symmetric features.

关联噪声对单模激光动力学性质的影响

应用线性近似方法,计算了具有指数形式关联的两白噪声驱动下的单模激光光强的关联函数、功率谱及关联时间。根据计算结果讨论了噪声间的关联程度和噪声间互联时间对以上各量的影响,并和噪声间具有δ函数关联形式的情况进行了比较     

Implementation of Full Spin-State Interferometer

Matter-wave interferometers with spin quantum states are attractive in quantum manipulation and precision measurements. Here, five spatial interference patterns corresponding to the full spin states are observed in each run of the experiment, by the combination of the Majorana transition according to the exponential modulation of the magnetic field pulse decline curve and radio frequency coupling among multiple magnetic sub-states.Compared to the realization of two Majorana transitions, the interference fringe for the magnetic field insensitive state also has a higher contrast. After spatially overlapping the full magnetic sub-state interference patterns dozens of times in consecutive experimental measurements, clear fringes are still observed, indicating the great stability of the relative phases of different components. This indicates the potential to achieve an interferometer with multiple spin clocks.     

Optimization of the Loading Process of the QUIC Magnetic Trap for the Experiment of Bose-Einstein Condensation

The magnetic quadrupole-Ioffe configuration (QUIC) trap in our Bose-Einstein condensation experiment is introduced. The magnetic trap loading process after laser cooling is ana/ysed and the optimization of the loading process is studied experimentally, Calculation of the magnetic field explains the loss of the atoms during the loading process of the QUIC trap. The number of atoms loaded in the QUIC trap is increased by 40% after optimization in comparison with the normal loading process.     

偏磁场对双表面微磁阱的影响

将纳米技术和冷原子物理相结合,可以形成表面微磁阱,研究微阱中冷原子以及玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚体的物理性质有着潜在的应用前景.     

Observation of F = 2 Spinor Bose-Einstein Condensation in a Magnetic Field

Multiple-component Bose-Einstein condensation has been observed in a magnetic field generated by a controllable magnetic quadrupole-Ioffe-configuration trap. Different distributions of atoms in spinor Bose Einstein condensates are created by changing the time difference of switching-off current in quadrupole-Ioffe-configuration coils and bias coils of the magnetic trap. A simple analysis is carried out to explain some phenomena of the experiment.     

激光相位对空间构型光晶格中超冷原子干涉对比度的影响

利用功率反馈排除晶格阱深波动导致的不稳定性后,主要研究了激光在空间或介质中传输的相位波动对晶格中超冷原子对比度的影响。通过晃动光晶格,人为引入可控相位噪声来测量其对原子对比度的影响,发现不同强度的相位噪声对实验结果的影响显著不同。但是小强度的相位噪声对超冷原子干涉对比度的影响并不明显,目前干涉对比度的测量精度并不能完全反映出激光相位对冷原子系统相干性的影响,说明这种空间构型光晶格在捕获超冷原子方面具有较高的稳健性。所提出的激光相位锁定技术可以有效减少晶格系统中的相位噪声,为未来空间构型光晶格中更精密的测量提供了基础。     

Relative Phase with the Overlap Region of Two Bose—Einstein COndensates

We present an expression of the relative phase for two interacting Bose-Einstein condensates released from an isotropic trapping potential.We discuss the interference condition between condensates and the visibility of the interference pattern reflecting the interaction between the condensates.
