We investigate a system described by a conservative and a dissipative map concatenation. A fat fractal forbidden net, induced by interaction between discontinuous and noninvertible properties, introduces rippled-like attraction basins of two periodic attractors. Small areas, which serve as escaping holes of a new type of crisis, are dominated by conventional strong dissipation and are bounded by the forbidden region, but only in the vicinity of each periodic point. Based on this understanding, the scaling behaviour of the averaged lifetime of the crisis is analytically and numerically determined to be (τ) ∝ (b-b0)^γ, where b denotes the control parameter, bo denotes its critical threshold, and γ≌-1.5. 相似文献

We propose a new definition of complexity. The definition shows that when a system evolves to a final state via a transient state, its complexity depends on the abundance of both the final state and transient state. The abundance of the transient state may be described by the diversity of the response to disturbance. We hope that this definition can describe a clear boundary between simple systems and complex systems by showing that all the simple systems have zero complexity, and all the complex systems have positive complexity. Some examples of the complexity calculations are presented, which supports our hope. 相似文献

建议一个描述研究项目负责人与研究助手之间的科研合作网络的双粒子图自适应发展模型.模型考虑每个项目负责人或研究助手作为作用者采取的选择、决策、竞争以及由此导致的自身和整个网络的进化.对模型的各种不同投影单粒子图进行的数值模拟所得结果都与美国的数学和神经科学工作者在1991-1998年间合作的统计结果很好地符合,说明自适应复杂网络可以自组织向小世界、无标度的结构.也讨论了双粒子图的不同投影单粒子图模拟所得结果的异同.

Understanding the cooperation-competition dynamics is a long-standing challenge in studying complex systems.Inspired by the idea of Shannon entropy,we define competition information entropy and propose an entropy evolution model.The analytic results of the model of the relation between competition gain distribution parameters and entropy,as well as the relation between entropy and time are compared with empirical results obtained in 14 real world systems.They are found to be in good agreement with each other. 相似文献
