The radon concentration in the air and water of the Bizovac spa was measured by the Radhome silicon detector and the average values were obtained as 70 Bq/m3 in the indoor pool, 40 Bq/m3 in the hotel room, 135 Bq/m3 in the closed therapeutic bathroom, but the geothermal water had a Rn concentration of 25.3 kBq/m3 and the potable one 2.7 kBq/m3. The Rn transfer factor (f) from water to air in the indoor pool and therapeutic bathroom was 10 and 40 times higher than for normal dwellings (f
n=10–4), respectively. The effective equivalent dose of inhaled radon for permanent personnel under the worst conditions in the spa was 5.4 mSv/y, but visitors spending two weeks in the spa could receive the dose of 77 Sv. 相似文献

The magnetic properties of poly(3-dodecyl-thiophene) (PDDT) irradiated by -beams have been studied by measuring the magnetic susceptibility and EPR spectra. The irradiated PDDT is characterized, similarly as the non-irradiated one, by an antiferromagnetic course of magnetic susceptibility with a Néel temperature of 237 K. It is suggested that the antiferromagnetic properties of PDDT are caused by transformation of polarons to bipolarons, which takes place at lower temperatures. 相似文献

Summary An electrical assembly for the oxygen-flask combustion of lubricants and similar petroleum products is described. The pyrolysis is performed in two consecutive steps. After the ignition and burning of the sample (sorbed on sodium carbonate) the combustion is completed by further heating. The sample weight should not exceed 140 mg. In this way the sensitivity of phosphorus determination of the tentative IP standard procedure is enhanced from 0.01 to 0.001% phosphorus if the volume of solution for the final spectrophotometric measurement is reduced.

Zusammenfassung Ein elektrisches Gerät für die Verbrennung von Schmierölen und ähnlichen Erdölprodukten im Schöniger-Kolben wurde beschrieben. Die Pyrolyse erfolgt in zwei aufeinander folgenden Schritten. Nach der Entflammung der an Natriumcarbonat adsorbierten Probe und nach Erlöschen der Flamme erfolgt die vollständige Verbrennung von Einwaagen, die 140 mg nicht überschreiten. So konnte die Empfindlichkeit der Phosphorbestimmung nach der tentativen IP-Standardmethode von 0,01% auf 0,001% Phosphor gesteigert werden, wenn man die spektrophotometrische Messung mit vermindertem Lösungsvolumen durchführt.

For a number of fractions and unfractionated samples of polylaurolactam, molecular weights () were measured by the light-scattering method in a mixed solvent of m-cresol with 60 vol. % 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropanol; intrinsic viscosities were determined in m-cresol and 96% H2SO4, and the constants of the Mark-Houwink equation were calculated. The calculated values of the characteristic ratio of unperturbed dimensions (virtually identical for m-cresol and 96% H2SO4) were compared with the respective values for polypyrrolidone and polycaprolactam. Ceramic specimens have been obtained from the powder of ZrO2-7.5 mol% Y2O3 having a specific surface area of 30 m2/g synthesized in air plasma. The novelty of this research lies in the fact that the plasma process makes it possible to prepare
so-called nanopowders with a particle size less than 100 nm, possessing specific physical, chemical and technological properties.
The sintered density of the specimens was 94–96% of the theoretical value, 6.001 g/cm3. The X-ray diffraction pattern of the specimens corresponded to a face-centered cubic lattice. Impedance in the frequency
range of 100 Hz–15 MHz and d.c. polarization curves in a potential range of −10 to 10 mV were measured in the temperature
range 200–850 °C in heating and cooling cycles. The intragrain, the grain boundary and the total bulk conductivities, the
electrode polarization resistance and their activation energies were determined. The thermal stability of the studied system
was proved in three measurement series up to 600–850 °C in heating and cooling cycles. The results obtained have shown that
the conductivity of ZrO2-7.5 mol% Y2O3 ceramics is not solely a function of temperature, but also depends on the previous thermal state of the ceramics.

A construction and exploitation of a medium size iodine photodissociation laser system Perun II is reported. This laser produced pulses of infrared light (=1.315m) up to 50 J in energy and 300 ps in duration. The diameter of the beam is 82 mm. The beam divergence is about 4×10–4 rad. The laser beam can be focused in a focal spot of a power density exceeding 1014 W/cm2. The resuls of measurements of basic plasma parameters on an Al foil target are also presented. A recent improvement of the system includes a conversion to the second harmonic by a DKDP crystal.Presented at bilateral international seminar of High Temperature Laser Plasma and High Gain Iodine Lasers held on 4 July 1991 in the Inst. of Physics, Czechosl.
