On extension theorems for M-measures in l-groups

Some extension theorems for l-group-valued M-measures are proved.     

Chitosan sponge matrices with β-cyclodextrin for berberine loading

Biocompatible polymer sponge materials based on biodegradable natural polymer chitosan, which can be loaded with clinician-selected drugs are still in the centre of interest for their wide use in clinical practice. This study shows possibilities of the technology which combines simple addition of β-cyclodextrin (β-CD), with dialdehyde starch (DAS) as a cross-linking agent of chitosan, to chitosan solutions for subsequent formation of sponge matrix. The advantage of such system is in avoiding chemical modifications and working only with natural substances. It is shown that, in matrix formation during lyophilisation, β-CD molecules tend to accumulate on the surface of the porous matrix structure. This was confirmed by a study of the known inclusion complex of β-CD and salicylic acid (SA) in heptane. The same study was applied to berberine (BER) which can also form an inclusion complex with β-CD in a water solution. Moreover, adsorption of drugs on the surface of the porous structure has to be also taken into account. This enables the production of sponge topical medical preparations useful for sustained release of BER.     

Gold nanoparticle included graphene oxide modified electrode: Picomole detection of metal ions in seawater by stripping voltammetry

We obtained a gold nanomaterial/graphene oxide-modified glassy carbon electrode and characterized it using transmission electron microscope, scanning electron microscope, cyclic voltammetry (CV), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy techniques. A response of the electrode using square wave anodic stripping voltammetry for Pb²⁺, Cu²⁺, and Hg²⁺ was found linear in the range from 1 × 10^–7 to 1 × 10^–11 M. The detection limits of Pb²⁺, Cu²⁺ and Hg²⁺ were 0.14, 0.5 and 1.2 pM, respectively. The method was applied to the simultaneous determination of Pb²⁺, Cu²⁺ and Hg²⁺ in seawater samples from a coastal region of Anatolia, and the results corresponded well with the values obtained by inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectroscopy.     

丁基罗丹明 B-铋钼杂多酸光度法测定铋

在硫酸介质及吐温存在下，丁基罗丹明Ｂ（ＢＲＢ）与铋钼杂多酸形成离子缔合物，缔合物的最大吸收波长位于６０６ｎｍ，表观摩尔吸光系数为１．７＊１０＾６Ｌ．同，铋质量浓度在０－０．２４μｇ／ｍＬ范围内服从比尔定律。缔合物至少稳定２４ｈ，其摩尔比为ｎ（Ｂｉ）：ｎ（Ｍｏ）：ｎ（ＢＲＢ）＝１：１２：４。考察了２０余种共存离子的影响，大多数常见元素不干扰。本法已用于矿样，合金中铋的测定。     

Numerical investigation of the solution of Fisher's equation via the B‐spline Galerkin method

The Galerkin method is used with quadratic B‐spline base functions to obtain the numerical solutions of Fisher's equation which is a one dimensional reaction‐diffusion equation. To observe the effects of reaction and diffusion, four test problems related to pulse disturbance, step disturbance, super‐speed wave and strong reaction are studied. Bound state of solution of Dirac-Coulomb problem with spatially dependent mass

The bound state solution of Coulomb Potential in the Dirac equation is calculated for a position dependent mass function M(r) within the framework of the asymptotic iteration method (AIM). The eigenfunctions are derived in terms of hypergeometric function and function generator equations of AIM.
