The [2+2+2] cycloaddition is an elegant, atom-efficient and group tolerant process for the synthesis of carbo- and heterocycles, mostly aromatic, involving the formation of several C-C bonds in a single step. Cyclotrimerisation is catalyzed by a variety of organometallic complexes, including more than 15 different metals. The aim of this tutorial review is to point out the most recent advances in this field and to encourage the use of this reaction enroute to complex molecules. After summarizing the most common catalysts and reaction conditions generally used, we survey the mechanistic features currently accepted for this reaction. Section 4 covers the scope of the different [2+2+2] cycloaddition versions starting with the cyclotrimerisation of three triple bonds, including nitriles, with especial emphasis on asymmetric reactions that create central, axial or planar chirality. Then, reactions that use double bonds are addressed. Finally, the most outstanding examples of natural products synthesis using [2+2+2] cycloadditions as a key step reported recently are shown. 相似文献

Influence of air oxidation on the surfactant-assisted purification of single-walled carbon nanotubes

Arc discharge single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) soot was treated under different experimental conditions including gas- and liquid-phase oxidation, heat treatment in an inert gas, and hydrogen gasification. Afterward, the samples were dispersed in a surfactant and centrifuged at a moderately high speed. Near-infrared spectra of all the dispersions were compared with that of raw SWCNT soot. The relative intensity of SWCNT characteristic spectral bands strongly increased for air-oxidized samples after centrifugation, while it did not substantially change for samples oxidized with nitric acid or reduced with hydrogen. The relative SWCNT spectral intensity was associated to the sample purity through the so-called purity index, which was calculated from the S(22) band transition of semiconducting SWCNTs. Air-oxidized samples experienced a 7-fold increase in the purity index during centrifugation, while it increased by only 2-3 times for nonoxidized samples. Air oxidation specifically improves the preferential stability of SWCNTs over carbonaceous impurities in the dispersions, leading to the highest purity index values reported so far. 相似文献

Summary A fully integrated screening system for phenolic compounds was developed incorporating on-line solid phase extraction, fractionation and biosensor detection. Two different types of biosensors, solid graphite and carbon paste electrodes incorporating the enzyme tyrosinase, were compared and used in the screening system. Interfacing of the solid phase extraction and fractionation with the biosensor detection was given special attention since the biosensors were not compatible with the organic modifier used for desorption of phenols from the solid phase extraction step. The system was validated with conventional analytical techniques. Surface water samples from the Ebro river were spiked with 1,10, and 25g L–1 of catechol, phenol,p-cresol, respectively. Three out of seven samples were spiked and the correct samples were identified, containing phenols equivalent to the spiked concentrations. 相似文献

Measurements of osmotic coefficients of BmimCl (1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride), HmimCl (1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride), MmimMeSO4 (1,3-dimethylimidazolium methylsulfate), and BmimMeSO4 (1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium methylsulfate) with water at T = (313.15 and 333.15) K are reported in this work. Vapour pressure and activity data of all the studied binary systems are obtained from experimental data. The osmotic coefficients data are correlated using the extended Pitzer model of Archer and the modified NRTL (MNRTL) model and standard deviations obtained with both models are given too. A laboratory study was conducted to investigate the ability of Amberlite IRN-78 ion-exchange resin for the removal of nitrate from different waters. Aim of the present study is to propose a simple model that simulates the equilibrium data for this ion-exchange system.Tests were performed using two synthetic waters and two groundwaters. In the case of synthetic water, experimental data are reported for the ion-exchange equilibria determination in the absence or presence of chloride. For both groundwater types, “Salvatierra city” and “Miajadas city”, an ion-exchange Langmuir-type model is proposed, taking into account the presence of other competitive anions in solution, specifically chloride, sulphate and bicarbonate. Although the model is very simple, it is consistent with the experimental results. Finally, a general Langmuir-type expression is proposed for all water types, synthetic or natural. Molecular dynamics simulations of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) molecules on a graphite surface are presented. The simulations were conducted at low and high surface coverage to study aggregation at the water/graphite interface. Results showed that at low surface coverage, the SDS molecules form hemicylindrical aggregates, in agreement with AFM experiments, whereas at high surface coverage, the surfactants form full cylinders. The latter aggregates have not been reported in systems of SDS on hydrophobic substrates, such as graphite. The unexpected results are explained in terms of a water layer adsorbed at the solid surface which was the responsible for the formation of these aggregates. Moreover, the SDS tails in the full cylindrical configuration became straighter than those of the hemicylindrical aggregate. Hydrogen bond formation between water and surfactant head groups was also studied, and it was found that they did not depend on the surfactant concentration. 相似文献

In this paper we analyse a method for triangulating the sphere originally proposed by Baumgardner and Frederickson in 1985. The method is essentially a refinement procedure for arbitrary spherical triangles that fit into a hemisphere. Refinement is carried out by dividing each triangle into four by introducing the midpoints of the edges as new vertices and connecting them in the usual ‘red’ way. We show that this process can be described by a sequence of piecewise smooth mappings from a reference triangle onto the spherical triangle. We then prove that the whole sequence of mappings is uniformly bi-Lipschitz and converges uniformly to a non-smooth parameterization of the spherical triangle, recovering the Baumgardner and Frederickson spherical barycentric coordinates. We also prove that the sequence of triangulations is quasi-uniform, that is, areas of triangles and lengths of the edges are roughly the same at each refinement level.
