High-efficiency, environment-friendly electroluminescent polymers with stable high work function metal as a cathode: green- and yellow-emitting conjugated polyfluorene polyelectrolytes and their neutral precursors

A series of aminoalkyl-substituted polyfluorene copolymers with benzothiadiazole (BTDZ) of different content were synthesized by Suzuki coupling reaction, and their quaternized ammonium polyelectrolyte derivatives were obtained through a postpolymerization treatment on the terminal amino groups. Copolymers are soluble in environmentally friendlier solvents, such as alcohols. It was found that the efficient energy transfer occurs by exciton trapping on the narrow band gap BTDZ site under UV illumination. Only 1% of BTDZ content is needed to completely quench a fluorene emission for both the neutral and the quaternized copolymers in the neat film. Absolute PL efficiencies of copolymer films were greatly enhanced as a result of the suppression of excimer formation. Light-emitting devices fabricated from these copolymers show high external quantum efficiencies over 3% and 1% for the neutral precursor and the quaternized copolymers, respectively, with high work function metals such as Al as a cathode. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on an electroluminescent polymer which bears the high EL efficiency, the electron-injection ability from high work function metals, and the solubility in environment-friendly solvents at the same time. These features make them a promising candidate for the next generation of light-emitting copolymers in PLED flat panel display application.     

Preparation of Ce-Zr-O solid solution

A single phase solid solution of Ce-Zr-O can be made by using NH₄HCO₃ solution as precipitating agent. The influence of preparation conditions, such as pH, Zr⁴⁺/(CO₃ ^2-+HCO₃ ^-) and Ce³⁺/Zr⁴⁺ ratio on the formation of the solid solution were investigated. The results show that a single phase Ce-Zr-O solid solution can be formed only under a narrow window of preparation conditions, indicating that some compounds are formed in the precipitating process. The compound may contain Ce³⁺, Zr⁴⁺, CO₃ ^2-, HCO^3-, and OH^-. The solid solution so prepared can be described as Ce_0.37Zr_0.63O₂. Synthesis and characterization of perfluorohexylated poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)

The perfluorohexylated 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene 5 was prepared via Mitsunobu reaction of perfluorohexylatyed diol 2 with diethyl 3,4-dihydroxythiophenedicarboxylate followed by decarboxylation. The polymerization of 5 was conducted with both oxidative chemical and electrochemical polymerizations. The polymers were characterized by cyclic voltammogram, UV, IR, TGA and DSC.     

The stereoselective synthesis of novel macrolide antibacterial agents via an intramolecular 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of azomethine ylide

An intramolecular 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of azomethine ylide, generated in situ via the reaction of C12-glycinate derivative of macrolide with formaldehyde, provided a novel tricyclic macrolide. The high stereoselectivity of this [2+3] reaction was achieved by introducing a suitable directing group at C-6 position of macrolide.     

掺铒a-SixC1-x-H薄膜的发光特性

用等离子体增强化学气相沉积（PECVD）的方法，以固定的氢气（H2）流量和不同的硅烷（SiH4）和甲烷（CH4）流量比沉积了一系列的氢化非晶SiC（a-Si，C1-x-H）膜。用这种宽带隙的a-SixC1-x-H材料作为掺铒的基体材料，通过离子注入的方法得到掺铒的a-SixC1-x-H（a-SixC1-x-H：Er）膜。注入以后的样品经过不同温度的退火。用X射线光电子能谱（XPS）、红外吸收光谱（IR）、拉曼散射谱（Raman）等技术研究不同的SiH4／CH4流量比和退火温度对a-SixC1-x-H：Er发光强度的影响。结果表明，高温退火引起了膜中C的分凝，对饵的发光是不利的。通过低温和室温下铒发光强度的比较，表明这种材料具有较弱的温度猝灭效应。     

C9‐Iridoids from Scrophularia buergeriana

Four new iridoids, buergerinins B–E ( 1 – 4 ), along with three known iridoids, were isolated from the roots of Scrophularia buergeriana. Their structures were identified on the basis of spectroscopic analysis.     

Photopolymerization induced by a benzophenone derivative photoinitiator

A benzophenone derivative photoinitiator, HBP-TDI-HQ-TDI-HBP （HTCTH）, was synthesized based on 4-hydroxy benzophenone （HBP）, toluene-2,4-diisocyanate （TDI） and hydroquinone （HQ）. HTCTH was a more effective photoinitiator which had longer wavelength absorption in the UV-vis absorption spectra than the low molecular counterpart benzophenone （BP）. It showed that both rate of polymerization （Rp） and final conversion （P） increased with increase of amine and HTCTH concentration in photopolymerization.     

Synthesis of Spiropyrimidodiazepines and Spirodiazepinopurines by Tandem Nitroso‐ene/Diels–Alder Reactions

New spirocyclic heterocycles 8, 16, 19/20, 25, 27 , and 30 derived from pyrimido[4,5‐b][1,4]diazepin]‐8′(9′H)‐one were synthesised by a tandem nitroso‐ene/Diels–Alder reaction of 4‐(alkenoylamino)‐5‐nitrosopyrimides. The crystal structure of 16 was established by X‐ray analysis. It is characterised by four pairs of intermolecular H‐bonds linking every two molecules in the unit cell. Sequential imine reduction and intramolecular condensation of the C(4′)‐(acylamino)‐pyrimido[4,5‐b][1,4]diazepines 27 and 30 led to the [1,4]diazepino[1,2,3‐gh]purines 28 / 29 and 31 , respectively.
