In the multicolor photochromism of TiO2 nanoporous films loaded with photocatalytically deposited Ag nanoparticles, visible light-induced electron transfer from Ag to oxygen molecules plays an essential role. Here we examined the effect of TiO2 on the electron transfer. We found that not only photocatalytically deposited Ag, but also electrodeposited Ag and commercially available Ag nanoparticles in a nanoporous TiO2 film exhibit the multicolor photochromism. The electrodeposited Ag exhibits the multicolor photochromism also in a nanoporous ZnO film, but not in nanoporous indium-tin oxide (ITO) and SiO2 matrices. Photoelectrochemical measurements for the Ag-TiO2 nanocomposite elucidated that some of the photo-excited electrons on Ag are transferred to oxygen molecules via TiO2 and non-excited Ag. Thus, an n-type semiconductor plays an important role in the charge separation between the excited electrons and Ag+. Non-excited Ag on TiO2 also plays an important role in the charge separation and/or catalysis of oxygen reduction. Replacement of the non-excited Ag with Pt accelerated the electron transport from the photo-excited Ag to oxygen molecules and the photochromic behavior.  相似文献

The glucosylation of some coumarin and flavone derivatives on incubation with the hairy roots of morning glory (Pharbitis nil) was previously reported. We further studied the biotransformation of benzaldehyde- and acetophenone-type derivatives. Vanillin and isovanillin were reduced to alcoholic derivatives and glucosylated at the phenolic and the alcoholic hydroxyl groups. In the case of 3,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde, the formyl group was reduced and the 3-hydroxyl or 4-hydroxyl groups were glucosylated to give monoglucosides. The 3-hydroxyl group was predominantly glucosylated to the 4-hydroxyl group. 4-beta-D-Glucopyranosyloxy-3-methoxybenzylalcohol was obtained in low yield. In time-course experiments with vanillin, it was found that the high-level reduction of the formyl group and glucosylation of the phenolic hydroxyl group occurred, and finally 4-O-beta-D-glucopyranosylvanillylalcohol was obtained as the main product. In the case of 3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde, 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzaldehyde, and salicylaldehyde, the formyl groups were reduced, and then the hydroxyl groups at the benyl position were glucosylated to give alcoholic glucosides in relatively high yields. In 4-hydroxy-3-methoxyacetophenone, the 4-hydroxyl group was glucosylated and two dimerized glucosides, biphenyl and biphenylether types, were obtained in low yields. In acetophenone, 1-beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy-1-phenylethane and 2-beta-D-glucopyranosyloxyacetophenone were obtained. As mentioned above P. nil hairy roots showed various biotransformative activities including glucosylation of phenolic and benzylic hydroxyl groups, reduction of the formyl group near the benzene ring, and phenol oxidation dimerization. The glucosylation reaction was especially interesting for the production of valuable glucosides.  相似文献

Removal of proteins from natural rubber was achieved by incubation of the rubber latex with urea in the presence of a surfactant to prevent the latex‐allergy caused with thin film products. Temperature, pH and time for the incubation were investigated to remove the proteins effectively, in which nitrogen content of the rubber was reduced to 0.02 from 0.38 wt% under the optimum condition. To remove further the proteins, deproteinization of natural rubber was made by incubation of the latex with proteolytic enzyme in the presence of a surfactant followed by incubation with urea. Amount of allergen decreased through the procedure to less than 0.7 μg/ml, which is a small amount of allergen compared to that for the commercial, deproteinized natural rubber. Abstract

Various types of bicomponent fibers composed of polylactide (PLA) and poly(butylene terephthalate) (PBT) with different molecular weights, arranging the polymers separately in the skin or core, were produced by high-speed melt-spinning. The bicomponent spinning, arranging the PLA with high molecular weight (melt flow rate =1.9?g/10?min, L-lactide content = 98.7%) in the skin and the PBT with low molecular weight (IV = 0.835–0.865 dL/g) in the core, resulted in orientation-induced crystallization in the PLA component at the spinning speed of 2?km/min. This crystallization effect was ascribed to a chain-extending treatment applied to the original PLA (MFR = 4.0?g/10?min) to increase its molecular weight. By the treatment the PLA could crystallize when spun even at 1?km/min in its single-component spinning. On the other hand, the bicomponent spinning system interfered with the orientation-induced crystallization of PBT in the core. As a result, the critical spinning speed needed to generate the orientation-induced crystallization in the core PBT was elevated to 4?km/min. The inferior tensile behavior of the bicomponent fibers, as compared to the single-component PLA or PBT fibers, suggested poor compatibility between PLA and PBT. Transesterification reactions rarely occurred at the interface of the two polymers. The bicomponent fibers prepared from high molecular weight PLA and low molecular weight PBT, however, showed sufficient antibacterial activity and physical properties to be suitable for designing medical clothing materials.  相似文献

A relationship between the stabilized bubble function method and the stabilized finite element method is shown in this paper. The Petrov–Galerkin formulation with bubble function, i.e. a stabilized bubble function method, is proposed for the shallow water long wave equation. The Petrov–Galerkin formulation with the bubble function formulation possesses better stability than the Bubnov–Galerkin formulation with the bubble function.  相似文献

The purpose of this study is to obtain an optimal shape of a body located in an incompressible viscous flow. The optimal shape of the body is defined so as to minimize the fluid forces acting on it by determining the surface coordinates based on the finite element method and the optimal control theory. The performance function, which is used to judge the optimality of a shape, is defined as the square sum of the drag and lift forces. The minimization problem is solved using an adjoint equation method. The gradient in the adjoint equation is affected by the finite element configuration. The use of a finite element mesh whose shape is appropriate for the procedure is important in shape optimization. If the finite element mesh used is not suitable for computations, the exact gradient is not calculated. Therefore, a structured mesh is used for the adjacent area of the body and all finite element meshes are refined using the Delaunay triangulation at each iteration computation. The weighted gradient method is applied as the minimization technique. Using an algorithm in which all nodal coordinates on the surface of the body are employed and starting from a circle as an initial shape, a front‐edged and rear‐round shape is obtained because of the vortices at the back of the body. To overcome this difficulty, we introduced the partial control algorithm, in which some of the nodal coordinates on the surface of the body are updated. From four cases of computational studies, we reveal that the optimal shape has both sharp front and sharp rear edges. All computations are conducted at Reynolds number Re=250.
