Amplifiers and Lasers in PCF Configurations

In this paper we will present an overview of the use of photonic crystal fibers as fiber amplifiers. We will describe the basic concepts of optical amplification, and how to do numerical modelling of such components. We will then identify advantages and disadvantages of amplifiers based on PCF technology compared to conventional fibers, and then go into greater detail on some of these specific applications, such as low pump power amplifiers, and high-power double-clad amplifiers and lasers.     

非线性光纤环形镜的脉冲透过特性研究

研究了光纤反常色散区非线性环形镜（NOLM）的脉冲透过特性，得到NOLM周期性透过率函数 第一极大值处透过率、压缩比和对应的孤子阶数与环长之间的函数关系图.通过比较长环和 短环NOLM对无啁啾、啁啾脉冲的透过率和压缩比特性，得出了长环有利于脉冲整形而短环有 利于脉冲压缩的结论. 关键词： 非线性环形镜 透过率 压缩比 孤子阶数     

量子算法的NMR实现方法

量子计算机是一种以量子耦合方式进行信息处理的装置[1 ] 。原则上 ,它能利用量子相干干涉方法以比传统计算机更快的速度进行诸如大数的因式分解、未排序数据库中的数据搜索等工作[2 ] 。建造大型量子计算机的主要困难是噪音、去耦和制造工艺。一方面 ,虽然离子陷阱和光学腔实验方法大有希望 ,但这些方法都还没有成功实现过量子计算。另一方面 ,因为隔离于自然环境 ,核自旋可以成为很好的“量子比特” ,可能以非传统方式使用核磁共振 (NMR)技术实现量子计算。本文介绍一种用NMR方法实现量子计算的方法 ,该方法能够用比传统方法少的步骤解决一个纯数学问题。基于该方法的简单量子计算机使用比传统计算机使用更少的函数“调用”判断一未知函数的类别。     

An Efficient Numerical Model for Planar Spiral Inductor On-Chip

In this paper, a very useful numerical technique has been developed for analyzing the transient characteristics of a planar-spiral inductor on-chip. A locally conformal technique and an alternating-direction implicit scheme are applied to the finite-difference time-domain method. A formulation for solving three dimensional Maxwell’s equations is proposed. Using the proposed method, various parameters of the planar-spiral inductors have been analyzed and an equivalent circuit, which includes frequency-independent circuit elements, has been introduced. Highly computational efficiency is implemented. Numerical results show excellent agreement with the measured data over a wide frequency range.     

Rain Attenuation at 103 GHz in Millimeter Wave Ranges

We have conducted a millimeter wave propagation experiment at 103 GHz (2.9 mm) on a propagation path of 390 m. The results were compared with the rain attenuation calculations from the Marshall-Palmer, Best, Joss-Thomas-Waldvogel and Weibull distributions for raindrop-size. It has been shown that the Weibull distribution has a good agreement with the experiments.     

Rain Attenuation at Millimeter and Submillimeter Wavelengths

The rain attenuation was calculated by using the Marshall-Palmer, Best, Joss-Thomas-Waldvogel and Weibull distributions for raindrop-size. The results were compared with the recent measurements from 8 to 312.5 GHz at the rain rate R = 50mm/hr. Especially, the Weibull distribution has a good agreement with the measurements at 312.5 GHz (0.96 mm) in the submillimeter wavelength. Specific attenuation values from 1 to 1000 GHz were calculated for a rain temperature of –10°C, 0°C and 20°C by using the Weibull distribution.     

前缘弯掠斜流转子叶顶间隙流动特性数值分析

本文对前缘弯掠斜流转子叶顶间隙内的流动特性进行了数值分析。结果表明:叶顶间隙气流与主流发生卷吸而生成泄漏涡。泄漏涡作用的区域具有较低的压力分布。在叶片通道内,泄漏涡沿着与转子旋向相反的方向朝相邻叶片的压力面移动。大间隙时的泄漏涡比小间隙时强烈。低流量时泄漏涡的作用区域比高流量时大。在各种流量特性下,叶顶尾缘近吸力面区域都存在着二次间隙流。     

具P-Laplacian算子型周期边值问题解的存在性

本文利用拓扑度理论和一些分析技巧讨论了具p—Laplacian算子型周期边值问题(φp(χ’))’+d/dt gradF(χ)+gradG(χ)=e(t),χ(0)=χ(T),χ’(0)=χ’(T)解的存在性,在对阻尼项d/dtgradF(χ)没有任何限制的前提下,给出了解存在的充分条件.
