Crystal structure of 2-nitropyridine

The crystal structure of 2-nitropyridine has been determined by x-ray diffraction analysis. The influence of the nitro group on the geometric parameters of the molecule was evaluated, as well as its influence on the molecular parameters of other nitropyridines, depending on the position of this group in the pyridine ring. Synthesis and molecular structure of a substituted 8-oxa-10-azatricyclo [7.3.1.0]tridecatetraene

10,11-Dimethyl-9-(coumarin-3 -yl)-12-ethoxycarbonyl-8-oxa-10-azatricyclo[7,3,1.0^2.7]trideca-2,4,6-11-tetraene was isolated from the mixture of products from the condensation of salicyl aldehyde with acetoacetic ester and methylamine. Phase equilibria and thermodynamics of coexisting phases in rare-earth element-iron-oxygen systems. II. The praseodymium-iron-oxygen system

The phase equilibria and the thermodynamics of coexisting phases in the PrFeO system have been studied using static and dynamic methods for attaining equilibrium with subsequent annealing and identification of the condensed phases by X-ray analysis. Equilibrium phase diagrams have been constructed to define the changes that take place in the PrFeO system on variation of the partial oxygen pressure, the temperature, and the composition of the initial mixture of oxides. An isothermal cross section at 1300°K and equilibrium diagrams of the type P_O2 = f(composition) with with one composition parameter fixed and T = f(composition) with P_O2 = constant have been constructed. It has been shown in the PrFeO system that only one ternary compound with perovskite structure, PrFeO₃, is formed, and furthermore, it is stable no matter how high the partial oxygen pressure.     

Mass Spectrometry of π-complexes of transition metals : IV. π-Cyclopentadienylirondicarbonyldichlorogermaniums

The mass spectra of C₅H₅(CO)₂FeGECl₂X (X = Cl, Me, Et, n-Pr or CH₂Ph) show very intensive rearrangement ions which are formed due to cyclopentadienyl ring migration from iron to the germanium atom or chlorine (subsituent) migration from germanium to atom.     

A study of the alkaloids of Thermopsis alterniflora

Summary 1. The epigeal part ofThermopsis alterniflora at the beginning of flowering contains 3.35% of combined alkaloids. The separation of the combined bases yielded cytisine, N-methylcytisine, pachycarpine, thermopsine, and the new alkaloid alteramine.2. Severine N-oxide and korsemine fromKorolkowia sewerzowii

Korsevine and the new alkaloids severine N-oxide and korsemine have been isolated from the combined alkaloids ofKorolkowia sewerzowii Regel. On the basis of the results of a study of the IR and NMR spectra of the alkaloids and also of a correlation with korseveriline and korsevine it has been established that base (I) is severine N-oxide and korsemine has the structure of korsevine 3β-D-glucopyranoside.     

(2,4-Di-(tert-butyl)-6-methylphenyl)dithiophosphorane

Use of the 2,4-di-(tert-butyl)-6-methylphenyl radical permits stabilization of the corresponding dithiophosphorane (I). The analogous diselenophosphorane could not be detected as the monomer. This compound undergoes intramolecular addition of the C-H bond of the ortho-tert-butyl group at the P=Se bond with formation of the corresponding diselenophosphonic acid (III).
