Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) spectra of gamma irradiated methylacrylamide-2-acrylamido-2-methyl-propanesulphonic acid (MA-AMPS) are recorded to identify the radical species formed during the irradiation of the copolymer. The ESR spectrum observed for irradiated MA-AMPS copolymer at liquid nitrogen temperature (LNT) (77 r K) is an asymmetric triplet; while the spectrum observed at room temperature (RT) is a quintet. The intensity distribution of both the spectra deviated appreciably from the expected theoretical values. Computer simulations are employed to analyze the ESR spectra observed at different temperatures. The triplet spectrum observed at LNT is simulated to be a superposition of component spectra arising from macroradicals of the type~CH 2 - \dot {\rm C} H-CH 2 ~ (I), radicals of the type \dot {\rm C} H 2 SO 3 H (II), and peroxy radicals (III). In contrast, the RT spectrum is simulated to be a superposition of component spectra arising due to radicals I, II, III together with the component quartet assigned to methyl radicals ( \dot {\rm C} H 3 ). The formation of such free radicals in irradiated copolymer is discussed.  相似文献

Two-dimensional carbon nanosheets have been fabricated using inductively coupled radio frequency plasma-enhanced chemical vapour deposition. The structural properties of the nanosheets have been characterised using atomic force microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffractometer. The magnetisation of the samples was studied using vibrating sample magnetometer. The magnetisation of the nanosheets was found to be diamagnetic for fast synthesis processes (30 and 60 min). On the other hand, the nanosheets exhibited a weak ferromagnetic response for the slow (120 min) synthesis process. Energy dispersive spectrometry and atomic absorption spectroscopy confirmed that the magnetisation exhibited by the carbon nanosheets was an intrinsic property and that it was not due to contamination from the substrate. Raman spectroscopy studies revealed that the ferromagnetic carbon nanosheets have a higher ratio (1.20) of graphite peak (I G) to disordered peak (I D) than normally expected (0.75–0.90). Available data indicated that the magnetisation was due to the presence of structural disorders.  相似文献

Abstract

The temperature dependences of the resistivity of La0.7Ca0.3Mn1?xFexO3 and La0.7Ca0.3Mn1?xFexO3 (0 < × < 0.04) mixed crystals were studied under hydrostatic pressures up to 15kbar. The substitution of Fe for Mn results in an increase of the resistivity and a continuous decrease of the metal-insulator transition temperature Tmi while the substitution of Ge for Mn leads to a more complicated Tmi(x)-curve. In all cases Tmi shifts under pressure with a rate between 1.6 and 2.9K/kbar and a correlation between Tmi and its pressure derivative dTmi/dP is observed which is in accordance with the general trend of dTmi/dP versus Tmi as derived for other manganites and is discussed in terns of a competition between superexchange and double exchange.  相似文献

Studies on the superconductivity behaviour of pure and doped (Pb,TI) Bi4Sr3Ca3Cu4O16 phases are reported. Effect of oxide additives PbO, BaPbO3 and BaBiO3 has also been examined. Results show that an oxygen treatment at 600°C for 12 h during the final stages of the synthesis has the beneficial effect of sharpening the Tc zero of the 4334 Bi-composition. Pb and TI substitution has only a marginally beneficial effect on the Tc , though it is not definitely known whether substitution is actually occurring in the system. PbO as an additive raises the Tc zero to 89 K, whereas other additives do not basically affect the properties of the 4334 system.  相似文献

A comparative study of the Chevrel phases Mo6S8, Mo6Se8, PbMo6S8 and Cu1.8Mo6S8 is made by the positron angular correlation technique at room temperature. Electronic properties like the number of conduction electrons per cluster, the density of states at the Fermi level, the electron effective masses and the Fermi velocities are obtained within the framework of the free electron model. Cheriyan and Hagerup developed a randomized algorithm to compute the maximum flow in a graph with n nodes and m edges in O(mn + n2 log2n) expected time. The randomization is used to efficiently play a certain combinatorial game that arises during the computation. We give a version of their algorithm where a general version of their game arises. Then we give a strategy for the game that yields a deterministic algorithm for computing the maximum flow in a directed graph with n nodes and m edges that runs in time O(mn(logm/n log nn)). Our algorithm gives an O(mn) deterministic algorithm for all m/n = Ω(nε) for any positive constant ε, and is currently the fastest deterministic algorithm for computing maximum flow as long as m/n = ω(log n).  相似文献

脉冲功率技术在工业和生物医学领域有着广泛的应用,很多应用场合要求输出数百安培的高压脉冲。固态Marx发生器虽已研究多年,但是被广泛采用直插封装的IGBT和MOSFET功率半导体开关管的额定电流通常都低于100 A,无法满足低阻抗负载的应用需求。为提高输出脉冲电流幅值,提出两种多路Marx发生器并联的脉冲电源的拓扑结构,第一种方案采用多路Marx发生器直接并联,第二种是共用一组充电开关管的多路Marx发生器并联。由FPGA提供充放电控制信号,采用串芯磁环隔离驱动方案实现带负压偏置的同步驱动,主电路选用开通速度快、通流能力强的IGBT为主开关的半桥式固态方波Marx电路。实验结果表明,6路16级Marx直接并联的脉冲发生器能输出重频100 Hz高压方波脉冲幅值可达10 kV,在30 Ω负载侧输出峰值电流可达300 A,上升时间230 ns。共用充电开关管的6路4级Marx并联发生器在5 Ω电阻负载上的输出电流峰值可达300 A,最大输出电流可达460 A,上升时间272 ns。表明多路Marx发生器并联可以有效地减小系统内阻,提高系统带载能力;改进后的并联方案实现大电流脉冲输出的同时,所采用的开关管数量减小近一半,提高了系统的抗干扰能力的同时,降低了脉冲电源的成本;且增加级间并联导线可进一步改善均流效果。

Since considerable expansion of hematopoietic marrow occurs in patients with sickle cell anemia (SCA), magnetic resonance images of 20 hips in 10 patients with known homozygous SCA were reviewed to determine a) if low signal hematopoietic marrow extended into the femoral capital epiphysis and b) if the MR characteristics of avascular necrosis (AVN) differed depending on the type of epiphyseal marrow. Our results revealed variable epiphyseal marrow type; mixed (fatty and hematopoietic) marrow (42%), fatty marrow (32%), hematopoietic marrow (16%) and hemosiderotic marrow (10%). AVN occurred irrespective of the underlying marrow. Segmental areas of low signal intensity in variable shapes (ring, band, crescent or large homogeneous area) was the most consistent MR manifestation of AVN in SCA. A low signal intensity peripheral rim surrounding a central zone, isointense with epiphyseal marrow on T1 and T2 weighted images, was most frequently observed similar to that described in patients without hemoglobinopathy. The notable difference, however, was of segmental areas within the same femoral head that demonstrated variable central zone signal on T2 weighted images. Further, while an increase in hip joint fluid is commonly seen with both early and advanced AVN in patients without hemoglobinopathy; it was increased in only one hip in patients with SCA. The observed differences in MR characteristics may be due to different pathophysiology of AVN in patients with SCA.  相似文献

The magnetic properties of two amorphous Fe?Ni?Zr alloys, Fe89.7Ni0.03Zr10 and Fe70Ni20Zr10, both in the “as cast” and neutron irradiated states were investigated by Mössbauer spectroscopy and dc magnetic susceptibility measurements. The upper magnetic ordering temperatures of Fe89.7Ni0.03Zr10 are 232K and 246K for the “as cast” and irradiated samples, respectively. The magnetic ordering temperature for Fe70Ni20Zr10 was about 478K for both the “as cast” and irradiated samples. Both compositions yield magnetic hyperfine spectra, which show a considerable relaxation effect that must be explicitly considered in the calculation of the average local Fe moments. When this is done, these values derived from Mössbauer spectra are in good agreement with the dc susceptibility values. The effects of neutron irradiation on the magnetic properties of these alloys are small.  相似文献
